100% worth the stay.

Our host was warm and helpful. My husband and I met my 93-year-old mother and 2 of my sisters to spend quality family time in one of our favorite parts of the country. We loved the beautiful wood construction and the general peacefulness of the cabin. We all love animals. So a particular highlight for us was the bevy of chickens and droll trio of ducks that live on the property, happy to snap up any little leftovers offered to them. We enjoyed watching movies together as the hosts generously provide streaming services to guests.
This is in no way a slam on the property - it’s simply meant to be helpful. My mother did have some trouble negotiating the cabin and its surroundings. But, for anyone who doesn’t have difficulties moving around, we would absolutely recommend this place.

The cabin was clean inside & well stocked with we needed. We enjoyed all the animals as well. Will stay again if we come back to the area.

The cabin was very peaceful and perfect for our stay. It was located within 20 minutes of almost any type of restaurant you could want, but the kitchen allows you to choose to stay in and cook, as well. It had all the things we needed and met our expectations.

Perfect place to stay for a long weekend getaway. Excellent location for seeing all of the sights. The cabin was immaculately clean and pleasant. Would highly recommend and would absolutely come back.

My husband and I came early for my sons wedding! This was a perfect location for mountain feeling and still be close to shopping. Everything was clean and perfect for our arrival. We would stay again !

This is a great place for small groups. It is in a good location, close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville and Hendersonville. It is fun to have the ducks and chickens around the cabin.

Had an amazing stay here, inside is beautiful, all new with great woodwork, clean and well taken care of. Although there was nothing negative, I would recommend raising the upper bunk bed in the second room, there is very little space between those beds, very claustrophobic for anyone over 10 years old. Otherwise this is a great gem, and we look forward to visiting again!!!

I wanted a true cabin in a woodsy setting for a reunion of three long-time friends. The wood paneling and rocking chairs on the porch facing west suited us well. The chickens and ducks wandering through were a bonus, as were their fresh eggs in the fridge! We looked for hiking trails which had been mentioned but didn't find much and Mary confirmed that they are yet to be developed. The kitchen was adequate for our simple meals and the beds were comfortable. We were glad we had good weather and could go on outings as the place was too cozy for three to spend full days on the property.

Wonderful! Felt right at home

We had a nice time staying here while we were in town for a wedding. It was close to everything we needed. Grocery store is right down the street. Some good hiking trails not too far away. We had a few minor issues at the house (water pressure, drainage); contacted the host and they fixed it right away! The host was very responsive!

Took my daughter for a Daddy daughter weekend and we had a blast. We went horseback riding in Pisgah and checked out Looking Glass Falls and Sliding rock. Sierra Nevada is only 10 minutes down the road and is an amazing place.
Overall the unit is clean and well kept and served us well for our stay. Some improvements could be the mattresses/bedding and the AC unit.

We rented this property for family to stay while visiting us nearby. It worked out great, thanks!

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The property is located just a short drive from a grocery store and restaurants. Most local attractions are a short drive away. Our AWD vehicle was sufficient, as the driveway is not too steep. Kitchen was stocked with essentials and functioning appliances. Our kids enjoyed the chickens and watching deer from the porch. Just FYI, the top bunk’s mattress is flush with the railing, so keep in consideration if you have small kids. Overall, would recommend if you have a small family and are content with a smaller cabin!

Our family of four enjoyed this cozy cabin. It is convenient to nature activities but also downtown Asheville. We all loved feeding the chickens and ducks and even saw deer. The firepit was where we ended each night either to grill out or just sit by the fire. We will always remember our stay here!

We were entertained by the chickens and ducks during our stay. They quickly learned we were a source of snacks. The owner was very helpful when we had key problems. The location is close to many attractions. Very nice accommodations.

Family trip to the Biltmore. Enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Nice wood smell inside, firepit, & farm fresh eggs were all nice.

it was a very happy, quiet place in the woods were we went hinking, horseback riding and even built a nice small campfire and made s'more! We totally would recommend coming back again!! It was wonderful!!

We had a wonderful stay! It was pouring rain but the ducks and chickens still visited us. We moved our cookout indoors and the kitchen was just perfect. We had everything we needed. It was cozy and warm and we had the best time.
4.8
Quiet setting in the woods, away from traffic and hotel noise. Owners ducks and chickens visited each evening we got back from town and we fed them. Dozen eggs in the fridge from the chicks was a treat too. One full bed in master, bunk beds in second room, and a pull out sofa bed. 20-30 minute drive to Asheville and the Biltmore. Store is 4 miles away and plenty of things to do nearby.

This property is an Amish built rustic style cabin that is absolutely flawless and clean as a whistle. The styling is just right, but all the modern conveniences are there. A nice blend. There are free range chickens and ducks on the property that will come visit and will safely and politely eat from your hands, a welcome treat for both you and the birds. At night it was comfortably dark and quiet. Excellent place to stay if you are visiting the Asheville area.

Just overall a great stay. Thanks!

My family of 5 and I chose this property for a quick last minute getaway. We didn’t want to spend much and just wanted something in a natural setting with a porch and fire pit, and it did check those boxes. We loved the ducks and chickens that visited daily, even while we were sitting out by the fire in the afternoon. We saw many deer as well. The cabin itself is lovely inside and very clean. It had everything we needed. The kids said their blankets were a little small and the top bunk railing does not go up over the mattress so it would not be appropriate for little kids. The ladder access to the loft is no longer there which didn’t really take away any value but the listing might be a little outdated. The outdoor space (aside from the porch) is very raw. My toddler couldn’t hold her footing around the yard. The chairs by the fire pit were nice and I loved the rustic bench but the fire pit itself was also very raw, made with cinderblocks. It was fully functional and we built multiple fires but not very pretty to look at. It was super nice that they provided some firewood, matches, roasting sticks, and even charcoal for the grill. Overall I really enjoyed the coziness of the cabin for a short trip and it was a good value. Super close to Sierra Nevada and the NC arboretum.

Thanks for having us.

Such a comfortable cabin, quietly nestled in the trees but not far from town. It was dark and rainy when we arrived, but the lights were on, the cabin was warm and the keys were close at hand. Mary had been in touch and we felt welcomed by the ease of check in.. The back porch is a real haven, but I could say that about the whole cabin…. A comfortable bed, lots of lights, eggs for breakfast, extra water, coffee, and tea. I loved the clean pine floors and appreciated the washer and dryer. We had a very pleasant stay , even though it was a short one!

Truly enjoyed our short getaway to the mountains.
Hosts were on top of everything. Wifi was surprisingly good as we all had work/homework to do while there.

We stayed in this cabin on our way to Edisto Beach, SC. It was such a cute and clean little place. It was perfect for our one night stay over.
4.8
This was an excellent place for my family of 3 adults and a 4 month old baby to share for a weekend. There was lots of room for us and all of the baby items as well. The kitchen was roomy and nicely equipped. The beds were very comfortable and a perfect front porch for rocking and watching wildlife. I counted 12 deer literally steps from the front porch 1 morning. The only complaint is that the rocking chair in the bunk room needs to be replaced because it’s very creaky and squeaky and therefore can’t be used to rock a baby to sleep. If we go back to the area, we’ll definitely stay here again!

Wonderful accomodations, well stocked and had everything we needed! Would highly recommend! My son absolutely adored the roaming chickens and location was perfect for us as we were in town to attend a wedding at Camp Highlander.

The home was very nice. Very very clean inside. Nicely decorated. Comfortable.

This really was such a sweet little cabin to stay in. Very clean! And the best part was the neighborly chickens.
Convenient to Asheville. Definitely recommend.

Great stay!
Close to everything! Clean, quaint, and quiet.

The cabin was clean and quiet. There were spiders and various insects found in the cabin but that’s expected given the location. The owners were accommodating and the fresh eggs and water was a nice bonus. They had a nice playpen/ baby crib which was perfect for my newborn. My kids enjoyed playing with the chickens. This is a nice family cabin and I would definitely come back again.

Loved this property!
We are a family of five and I really didn’t want to be crammed into a hotel room for two days. This was my first time using VRBO and I absolutely LOVED our experience. The property was quaint, clean, and so accommodating for what we needed. Sitting on the porch listening to the rain fall last night is something you can’t get in the city and I needed that. Thank you for the hospitality!!!
