Lovely house in a great location

Great location, lovely house for our family for a week.

Could do with a little refresh in places, carpets v worn and bathroom a little shabby but that’s mainly preference - everything was in working order.

A great holiday, in a perfect location, in a very comfortable cottage.

Driftwood Cottage is a well kept, well equipped cottage. It is in a great location for walking into town and the beaches. We were a group of five adults and found the cottage big enough for us to share without feeling crowded. The complimentary cream tea was much appreciated by us all.

The parking can be tricky. We had two cars but did manage to find somewhere to park in an adjacent street and, eventually, outside the front of the cottage. The allotted parking space at the back of the cottage was always available, ie nobody parks where they shouldn't.

A CHEERY LITTLE BOLTHOLE IN BUDE HANDY FOR BEACH AND SHOPS.

It was really good little bolthole for getting into town to get provisions. It was good for walking to the beach and other attractions of Bude.

The garden was really non existent and had no view or privacy. It was expensive for what is was for 3 nights in May and also the cleaning charge was high as we only used one bed and had one small pet.

great location, clean and everything you need for a beach stay.

the hot water pressure could be better. we had a few issues with the heating but don’t expect that to be an issue for future guests.

Very central location

Very central location, it was very easy ven for my elderly parents to walk into the centre of Bude, the bus stops are also close by. there is als a Coop just arouind the corner which made things easy. Lots to do nearby

Great place to stay in an ideal location

House was ideally situated for walks to the beach, canal and the surrounding area. Great to have the sun terrace at the back of the property too.

Location !!! 🥰 Perfect for walking to beaches and shops/ restaurants . Spacious and well equipped. Felt like home.

V Parking at the back behind the launderette.was tricky to manoeuvre some days....fine though if you are just staying in and enjoying Bude itself..

A lovely little cottage with plenty of room and everything you could need in lovely Bude.

Easy instructions and everything we could have needed. Very comfortable and great location. We especially loved the little pub on the corner called The Barrel. A great weekend had by all. Really appreciated the afternoon tea that was provided by the hosts, a nice touch, thanks!

Check in/out times. This is seeming more common lately with a late (4.30pm) check in and a 9am check out. It was a real rush on our last morning, which is a shame. We understand that places need to be cleaned in order for the next guests but I'm not sure I would book somewhere again with such an early check out.

the layout the amount of space everything we needed - a food box was left which was very thoughtful the owners were very helpful we had a fab time

bathroom had a few signs of water damage but was no big deal

Excellent family holiday with my grandkids

Nice touch to have scones on arrival. Excellent location never used the car all week. Lots of friendly places to eat and drink all within walking distance.

The only criticism and a small one , there are no wardrobes in the bedrooms to hang clothes. However there is a hanging space on the first floor landing cupboard.

5 adults and 1 child here for a funeral but the house made our stay very comfortable

lovely house with good facilities close to Bude town and the beach , clean warm and good size rooms. scones with jam and cream and fresh milk left for us was a nice touch. Host’s we’re flexible with check in and out times

one shower for 6 was a bit hectic in the morning

Overall very happy with our stay and Tony and Georgie could not have been more helpful.

What breakfast? Location very good

Mattresses were hard on doubles, Check-in and out times inconvenient but somewhat understandable given current pandemic restrictions and central heating went off too early given time of year.

Excellent cottage and location. Parking space at the back is just a bit small if you have a big car and other cars are parked next door. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely return.

Great stay

Great location, easy walking distance to the beach or shops. House spotlessly clean and well decorated and equipped . Good communication with the owner and lovely touch of cream tea waiting for us on arrival

Poorly managed by owners

Very clean and well equipped.

We were contacted and offered the property a day early. We accepted and were then informed they had offered it to someone else, so we couldn't have it. We were told there would be a bottle of prosecco in the fridge as an apology. This didn't happen! The fire did not work and I emailed the owners upon arrival and have had no response. The information guide stated check out was 11.00 and the cleaners arrived at 9.00. They informed us this happens all the time and that the owners were aware that the fire was not working in April!. There is only one space for a car up a steep gravel slope and no space to turn around. Not ideal.
