Une superbe expérience chez un hôte très accueillant

Un grand dépaysement que de se trouver sur un "house boat", à proximité d'un parc très agréable. Un frigo bien rempli pour le petit déjeuner, des équipements variés avec une Dolce Gusto pour le café. Le propriétaire est très sympathique et toujours prêt à rendre service. De plus, il nous a proposé d'utiliser le bateau électrique pour nous balader sur les canaux ce que nous n'avons pas fait par manque de temps.

Personnellement, j'ai eu froid et le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas vraiment (peut-être une fausse manip de ma part). Mais j'ai débranché / rebranché et tout a fonctionné. Peut-être une couverture supplémentaire :-)

Absolut perfekt!

Wir haben zwei sehr schöne Urlaubstage erlebt, was unter anderem auch an dem wunderbarem Besitzer lag! Norbert ist ein liebevoller, gastfreundlicher und aufmerksamer Gastgeber mit einer besonderen Ausstrahlung :) Das Frühstück mit Bioprodukten war war sehr liebevoll angerichtet! Das Zimmer war ruhig und liebevoll eingerichtet, das Bett wunderbar zum Schlafen und Relaxen. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, unser Hund hat sich auch wohl gefühlt. Das Stadtzentrum ist sehr leicht zu Fuss erreichbar. Eine wunderschöne Stadt :) Norbert und Budda(Hund), wir werden gerne wieder kommen :) :) :)

Als je in de watten gelegd wil worden, is dit het juiste adres!

Heerlijk weekeinde geweest, niet in de laatste plaats met dank aan de super zorgzame & aardige gastheer Norber, die zich ten doel stelt het iedereen helemaal naar de zin te maken. Heerlijk ontbijt wat aangevuld kan worden met wat nodig is of gewenst wordt. Bed is heerlijk en faciliteiten meer dan voldoende.

Norbert der Vermieter ist supercool und kümmert sich um alles Zwolle ist eine tolle Stadt. Ideal zum Fahrrad fahren. Boot von Norbert kann mit genutzt werden

Great value B&B in an unusual location.

An interesting take on the normal Bed and Breakfast which allows you the freedom to choose when to have your breakfast. The location was good although rather haphazard and not so appealing to get to. Once inside, the view out of the lounge window of the canal was lovely. However, inside the house boat, it was very good. Spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was extremely generous and the host likewise, nothing was too much trouble. He wanted his guests to relax and want for nothing. He was helpful too with where to visit. When we stayed, the temperature was 32 degrees so the air conditioning was very much appreciated. The two TV's were appreciated and even more so when we discovered we could get the BBC and watch Wimbledon! being able to park the car near to the house boat was another bonus.

It would improve the ambiance if the garden area was smartened up so that it was a place for guests to sit outside.

The best B&B and the best owner ever!!!

This is a very special place with the best owner! Waking up and see the river with ducks greeting you in the morning has no price. And this B&B has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast is superb, complete and also gluten free for me as a celiac person! And the best of this athmosphere is Norbert, a person with a big heart and a high spirit, it has been a pleasure to meet him. He made our stay so comfortable that we will never forget it. We'd love to come back again someday, of course we'll book this place and we'll recommend it to our friends. Thank you Norbert for everything, you helped us to be so happy there, you are magic!!!

Could not ask for more!

Spacious, comfortable room in Very peaceful setting! Walking distance to a nice city park and short bike ride to down town Zwolle. And a bonus raft trip on the canal! Awesome host!! 5 Stars

Would stay again. Generally lovely host and apartment with lovely river/canal view.

Host was very helpful and eager to.make our stay pleasant Very good breakfast with our preferences supplied Cabin was ideal Boat came for use with the cabin my husband took it out with just us two, and around Zwolle having never soley steered a boat before. Host was very kind. Easy to get around by bus or train Pleasant walk to town centre Really pleasant city Beautiful dog, don't worry non invasive and that's me liking dogs usually at a distance.

Mostly great Would have wanted the broken toilet seat changed.Was told it had broken the morning of our arrival and would be replaced that day or the next but never happened.Was dangerous to sit on and the break was very obvious.Disappointed about that.

Very good B&B that I secured last minute. The room was very big and clean and great for my 2 night stay. Norbert was very friendly and helpful, really nice, he drove me to my accommodation at University to save me money on a taxi.

Perfect location to stay in Zwolle

Just as sweet as could be! Clean, comfortable, well furnished. Lovely sat on the floating balcony looking down the river. Only a 10-15 min walk into the city. Norbert is a suberb host, ensuring we had everything we needed. He kindly took us one evening around the waterways of Zwolle on his raft with his dog and parrot, magic!

Outstanding experience!

That was an amazing experience. We were expecting to have fun because it was our first time to sleep in a boat, but it occurred that Norbert and his amazing pets gave us much more special experience. It was super nice to meet you and to hear all of amazing stories, thank you! Beside that, staying was perfect, we had more that we needed, breakfast was fresh, super tasty with local, high quality products. Our place was very clean and comfortable. In the neighbourhood there is awsome park with animals, playground etc. I'm truerly recommending Norbert's place, you have to go there!

Good but with some reservations

The room was like a studio with a kitchen/lounge area and separate bedroom/bathroom. Very quiet location on a canal. Kitchen equipped with fridge (where various breakfast items were left by the owner) and with a view of the canal.

The approach to the house boat wasn't very appealing looking more like a scrapyard than accommodation. Wasn't too keen on the canal side vegetation as to me that's a magnet for vermin. Didn't meet the owner as everything was done remotely.

The accommodation was excellent and Norbert and Buda were amazing.Norbert went above and beyond to help us enjoy our vacation and his B&B is high quality modern fittings and we would recommend a stay at De Leeuw without hesitation.

Just the most perfect place.

My stay here was exceptional ! I cannot thank enough the owner for everything he did for me. The breakfast was amazing. Buda and the two ARAS are so cute and the housing was super comfortable. I cannot recommand it enough. Everything was perfect. Thanks a lot for this stay.

We made a friend here and will definitely come back.

We were having a hard time unexpectedly loosing a beloved one and Norbert made our stay and my birthday unforgettable. I cannot stress enough how lucky we feel to have met him. Apart from that: I can definitely tell you that this is the place to be when you are in Zwolle. The houseboat is perfectly located next to the Wezenlanden-parc, close to the city centre and still located remotely to enjoy quiet evenings. The B&B, Norbert and his animal-companions have their own stories that are worth listening too. The room was beautiful! When we came the fridge was filled and we could choose from a lovely tea selection. In case you have allergies or follow a diet: Norbert is really considerate about this and for instance prepared me some vegan food. See you soon!

Recharging mini-break

From the moment of arrival Norbert made us all feel really welcome and was happy to provide everything needed, in our case we were very happy with his efforts to get us plant-based products for our breakfast. We took our dog with us. He was also welcomed at the residence, but the location was also excellent being a five minute walk from the nearby Park de Wezenlanden. The park was also a great place to run for any fitness enthusiasts. An extra surprise was the possibility of lending Norbert’s boat (free of charge) to enjoy a completely different perspective of Zwolle city center from the water. All in all a fantastic mini-break to recharge our batteries.

Unique accommodation - the chance to experience life on a canal.

The houseboat is on a quiet corner of the Almelose canal, east of the centre of the lovely town of Zwolle. It's about 15 minutes on foot into town, along the canal. Norbert is a delightful host who is very concerned that his guests are comfortable. He collected us from the railway station by car and took us back this morning. He provided an excellent breakfast with lots of choice and high-quality local produce. We slept well in a comfortable bed. Decent WiFi, lots of hot water, invaluable recommendations from Norbert. (The Parkpaviljoen restaurant is a short walk away and is excellent.)

A few more hooks to hang clothes on would be good.
