Lovely quiet farm location. Close enough to town to get there for supper (or any local activities during the day). Nice welcome on arrival and opportunity to chat during our stay. Cake with a cup of tea in our room was a lovely touch. Breakfast excellent, plenty of space in the room which was lovely and cosy given the weather outside. Even the ducks and cats were welcoming,. We'd go back.

Traditional farmhouse on a traditional Devon farm.
Full English breakfast, all the trimmings plus good supply of fresh fruit and cereals.
Couldn’t turn off heater in bedroom…. Because it’s a storage heater. Can’t be helped. Just opened the windows

Freshly cooked to perfection even after we were up later than had first said we would

Delicious breakfast. Warm and welcoming hosts and Lower Ford Farm were an equally delightful discovery - a perfect slice of peace and quiet that was exactly as needed on a busy weekend. Many thanks!
All was charming - the building is a historic gem and I loved the charm of everything provided that was in keeping with the setting.

Beautiful old farmhouse, comfortable well-equipped room (with heaps of room for a travel cot), and cake on arrival. Diane was very welcoming and cooked a fantastic breakfast and one of the lovely chaps on the farm even took the time to introduce our little girl to the lambs.
Mattress was very soft (just a personal preference).

Location, friendly hosts, brilliant breakfast.
I liked everything

Lovely and quite beautiful views the best place I have ever stayed at in over 20 years.

Lovely old farmhouse, great welcome from the host, very nice spacious en-suite and a comfy bed with a very nice slice of cake to welcome me. Ample tea & coffee tray with a selection of biscuits & sweets.
Only one thing & that is I wished they had turned the heating on in my room beforehand as it took a while to sus out the electronic controls and even longer to heat my lovely room : (

A quiet location a short distance and easy to locate off a main road with ample parking.
A character farmhouse property retaining features in the main common areas but with very well appointed bedrooms and bathroom.
Excellent cooked breakfast.
Nice additions to greet including cake and biscuits, coffee or tea. Also a small torch available if not wishing to put the lights on when getting up during the night!

Lovely farmhouse, lots of character.

Lovely family run farm house. Fantastic welcome and facilities.
Along with hot drinks available in the room, a slice of home baked cake was most welcome and appreciated.
The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with the private facilities offering complimentary toiletries
The breakfast options were plentiful and fabulous. A wide range of continental and cooked foods, along with a juices and hot drinks.
Although my stay was short, I will definitely be staying here again.
Many, many thanks

Tranquil and very comfortable
Sat Nav takes you to another property, not the owners fault though

Everything was so relaxing and friendly. On arrival a wonderful piece of cake in the room, much appreciated after a tough days cycling in the hills to get there but so well worth it. Very clean bedroom with a good size en-suite shower room with toiletries, and a nice comfy bed. The farm, which has so much history, is located in a beautiful setting, so peaceful and relaxing, felt very much at home. The proprietors and family could not have been more helpful and welcoming. A wonderful full English breakfast to start the days onward cycling, such a shame I had to move on, would have loved to have stayed longer. The local pub in Butterleigh village was most welcoming, serving nice food and good beers and only a pleasant mile walk from the farm with stunning views whilst en-route so well worth a visit.

Lovely location but be aware that it is remote. The building is an old Devon farmhouse and very beautiful and as it is a working farm I woke up in the morning to the sound of the cows in the field - vey peaceful
Mattress was too soft for me but that is a personal thing

The host was super friendly and the piece of fruit cake and milk left in my room upon arrival was a lovely touch!
Breakfast was enormous so you're definitely not going to go hungry after that!
I enjoyed the secluded location but it may not be for everyone!
I had a flat tyre on my bike and they were totally fine with me staying a while longer in the morning whilst I sorted that out which I was very grateful for!
Absolute bargain for the money!
I was happy to only have a bath and no shower but for some, this might not be ideal. I'm not sure if the other bathrooms have a shower.
4.7
I loved the farmhouse itself and the bedroom was very spacious and the bed comfortable.
Although the bathroom was huge and very pleasant I would have appreciated the opportunity to have a shower or at least to have had a shower attachment to the bath taps.

Chose Lower Ford Farm due to cost but it far exceeded what I expected for the price: really comfortable, lovely room, great cleanliness, excellent breakfast and I was made to feel very welcome.
Nothing to say - everything was excellent.

Absolutely lovely little place. such a friendly welcome, super uncomplicated for changing my room to one that had a bathtub (that's why I booked that room in first place), amazing cake with the tea in the room, everything spotless clean, decorated with much love for detail, just made me feel cosy and welcome and relaxed. great breakfast! will definitely be back
that it's so far away from me, haha
