Awesome, loved the cabin

This was, without a doubt, our best home share experience ever. VRBO should use this place as their quintessential example of what a rental should be. I told Bruce months in advance how this was my 72-year-old mother's dream vacation. He contacted us several times to make sure it lived up, and it actually exceeded everything you could imagine.
I have never seen such a well-stocked kitchen. We were able to make a Crock-pot meal while traveling to the Tetons and Jackson so we had a hot meal when we walked through the door. The Blackstone and Weber grill (with ALL the accompanying gadgets) were great. Storage bags, Reynolds wrap, Tide Pods, cleaning supplies -- we literally could have pulled up and started living as if we'd been there for months.
Dubois has a small grocery store about 20 minutes out, and we hit the Friday night rodeo as well. We also were able to head down to the Wind River Native reservation for a day trip. This cabin proved to be our perfect location to be 1 1/2 hours away from everything we wanted to do (including Yellowstone, obviously).
The cabin itself? The intricate decor details were amazing. Every day, my wife and mother found something else that they loved about the Western motif. And, as I told Bruce -- for my mother to compliment someone's "level of clean" is like receiving a Congressional Medal of Honor. Each day, we had visits from elk, antelope, and/or deer. Finally, you won't believe the views from the drive up/down. Stay here. Period.

We loved the property! The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. We also loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch to drink our coffee and the fire pit in the evening for s’mores.

Bruce's cabin was everything you want in a cabin and more. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The UTV rental shop was right out our front door so we could just walk to pick up our rentals for the day. We were also close enough to make a day trip to Yellowstone. Dubois is such a nice little town and had a great 4th of July celebration.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a relaxing place away from everything else, but still accessable to enough to keep us busy for the week.
The owner was very helpful and addressed any needs quickly.

Our family stayed at this beautiful property for a side by side trip in the area. What a great place! Bruce has everything you could need at this house. Bruce was so easy to get a hold of as well!
We had coffee on the deck every morning and enjoyed the beautiful scenery! There was a restaurant down the road (crooked creek) that has amazing food and a hard working staff.
The area itself is great to ride! Great trails & beautiful scenery! The town of Dubois is fun to visit too!
We can’t wait to come back to this property to snowmobile too! We will be back! Thank you Bruce!

Had an awesome time. Property was exactly as described. If you are into exploring via by foot or side x side, the surrounding area is vast. We spent a lot of time hiking in Dubois, and at Grand Teton National Park. Wildlife abounds all around the lodge too. At night, while on the veranda, look up into the sky. It will be majestic. Thanks Bruce and Karen for a great vacation.

Great setup for our group of 9. Next to the trail and fuel. Plenty of room to spread out in the house, cook meals, and hangout. Large garage to work on sleds and ability to park truck and trailer right on property. Excellent property and extremely responsive host.
5 stars!

There was a group of 8 snowmobiling and relaxing at the cabin. Access to the trails was great. The rental shack is within walking distance which carried essentials and fuel for the sleds. The house has all the necessities and was warm and inviting. We built a fire a few nights but the loft got very warm so we didn't the last night. We will most definitely be back.

Our family spent a week in the wonderful Wyoming Dubois area. Spruce Lodge was a comfortable, cozy, and clean retreat! Days were filled with exploring while evenings were enjoyed relaxing by the crackling wood fire. Consequently, this home was perfect for our family retreat. In the future, we hope to return to the region and this charming cabin!

My family and I had plenty of space in the cabin and enjoyed being able to relax in either of the spacious family rooms after our days of hiking and exploring around Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We couldn’t imagine a better place to stay! Bruce was extremely responsive and helpful with all of our questions.

My spouse and I make annual trips to the Shoshone/Bridger/Teton area to disconnect and refuel. This was our first stay in this beautiful home, and every aspect of our stay far exceeded our expectations. The house is well stocked with any need you may experience; stop in Dubois for groceries before you head up Union Pass and you will be set for your entire stay. Excellent sleeping and lounging areas, and if there with a group, it would be easy to spread out and enjoy time to yourself. While you have a fabulous kitchen and dining area to entertain your crowd, we recommend strolling over to Crooked Creek if you need a restaurant treat. The food was fabulous, too - and bringing it back to the house as takeout still allows you to sit on the porch and enjoy the scenery and fresh air. We had our ATVs and a UTV with a trailer and the driveway/parking is designed perfectly to assist with in-and-out for that type of setup. We really also appreciated the use of the garage space when we had some small tinkering to do on the ATVs to keep out of the elements. We can't say enough about our stay and are planning a return for sure! Thank you for allowing us to stay at the Spruce Lodge.

Spruce Lodge mountain vacation
The cabin, which is located on the side of a mountain, was comfortable and perfect for 11 members of our family. There was everything needed for preparing meals. Prong horns went running in front of the cabin a couple of nights and deer were in the front yard in the early morning. We went hiking almost every day around the cabin area, in the Tetons, and in Yellowstone. Some of us played games in the evenings and some relaxed. The deck and view from the deck were wonderful. Because of mosquitos, I would suggest bringing bug spray or area bug repellent.

Beautiful views! The starry skies are amazing!
Beautiful views but it’s a very bumpy, unpaved road getting to and from the property. Also, read up on how to avoid altitude sickness because you’re at about 9000 feet! The cabin is lovely; well stocked with all types of appliances, tableware, etc. and very clean as well.

Beautiful views and fully stocked house! We were a little shocked how far off the main road it was but it was gorgeous! Always wildlife coming and going!

Great Cabin Stay
We loved our stay at the cabin! It was very spacious and cozy and had all the amenities that we could need! It was about 1 hour away from Grand Tetons and about 2 hours away from Yellowstone National Park! We saw birds and a fox near the cabin! The cabin is up in the mountains on some bumpy gravel roads so it took us about 15-20 minutes to get up and down from the cabin each time we went into town or on our day trips. Otherwise we had a fabulous time and loved the huge fire place, cozy beds, comfortable living spaces, and outdoor fire pit!

Our Tetons Adventure
The cabin was wonderful. It was spacious for our family of 8, was very well equipped, had great views and enough privacy.
The Crooked Creek restaurant which just opened was also very convenient and had excellent food. Bruce is also an excellent host and checked to make sure there were no problems during our stay.
We would love to come back and stay again.

Perfect!
This place was the best of the best. Our 2 grown kids had the bottom level to themselves. 2 bedrooms and a bath. Complete with living area just for them!! The main level with kitchen was spacious and very well stocked!! Coffee, filters, seasonings, even laundry and dish detergent! We saw wildlife every day at the cabin. The ATV rentals across the street was convenient and Yellowstone was just an hour and a half away. Amazing. We hope to be back someday. Louisiana is quite a trip, but this cabin was worth it!

Perfect lodge and location
The house was perfect for our snowmobile trip. There was plenty of room for our group and the property is in great condition. We were able to keep our sleds in the garage, which was nice for any repairs or adjustments we needed to make. It is right next to the trail, too. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain vacation.
