Sunset Bay cottage was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. It’s in a really beautiful neighborhood and Yarmouth port was so charming. The house itself was surrounded by blue hydrangeas and other really pretty flowers. Inside was spacious, really nicely decorated and incredibly clean. The amenities were perfect, Living space was perfect, the beds so comfortable and kitchen/bathrooms outfitted very well. We loved the deck, hot tub and yard. The views of the marshes and grasses were so pretty. I was content to just relax in the house and backyard. Lots of shops and restaurants were close by along with beaches so we had the ideal location. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. I highly recommend considering this beautiful home.

We had a beautiful week weather wise. The house had plenty of games puzzles and bikes as well as kayaks available which we took advantage of. Bathroom shower curtains/ doors not the greatest but overall a very nice place to stay . Loved the outdoor shower and jacuzzi. Would definitely rent again!

This house is a beautiful rental property, my family and I could not believe it was pet friendly. There was plenty of room for my parents, 80 pound family dog, and me and my fiancé. Sunsets were beautiful especially if you walked down the street a bit to look over the marsh. The hot tub in the morning looking over the tall marsh grass with bright blue skies was very peaceful. The house had everything you could need. Plus it is only a mile from some very good restaurants like Inaho and Yarmouth Inn. The only thing that was a bummer was the bugs but we did not get citronella candles so maybe that could've helped. The grill was clean and worked well and the outdoor shower was very nice! The location as convenient and scenic, we were very pleased with this property.

Inviting and Comfortable Home for Family Trip
This house is a wonderful option for a quiet and relaxing getaway on the Cape. The marshland view just outside the plentiful windows was lovely and tranquil. Our group of five people plus our dogs felt right at home and we had plenty of room to unwind during our week long stay. Great location near the beautiful Gray’s Beach and easy access to everything Mid-Cape. It was clear from when we made the reservation, all the way until checkout, that the owner (Nancy) is hands on and takes great care in ensuring her guests are satisfied. She wants to ensure that the house meets or exceeds expectations. We had a wonderful stay.

Quiet Neighborhood and Convenient Location
I spent a week in Nance's rental with my family over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the marsh trails for exploring and central to everything on the Cape. Nancy is very responsive to any questions or needs. There were a number of extra fees, which I wasn't expecting given the nightly price of the rental, but you can choose which additional amenities you want to pay for. Overall we had a great stay!

Perfect spot!
We had a great week at Sunset Cottage. The house is in a perfect location - on a quiet street with a beautiful backyard and a large, comfortable, accommodating deck. The house is clean and well equipped, the beds are comfy with top notch linens, the living room with the large smart TV is a great spot for evening movie watching and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare all your meals. The big grill out back certainly came in handy. Grab a drink and sit out back to catch a spectacular sunset while listening to the myriad of songbirds. The owner is wonderful and was immediately responsive. Don’t hesitate ... you will love it here!

Beautiful sunset
My family of 5 (plus the dog) had a great stay. Nance was a great host, really easy to communicate with and provided us with great information about the area to help make our stay even better. The view from the yard was beautiful, we found ourselves rushing home every night to see the sunset from the yard. The house was perfect for the 5 of us and was very convenient to rte 6 and 6A. We also enjoyed hiking and biking right from the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Simply Perfect
House was just perfect and such a breath of fresh air after this year of lockdown. Warm, airy, serene and clean Nance has created an oasis! The best part for me was the proximity of the walking trails and the pup was exhausted from our daily walks to the beach. Great town, walkable from house and great location on Cape. Beaches were colder as it was start of fall but still has some days in the warm sun! House was perfectly decorated enough touches but not overwhelming or cluttered. Just great and can’t wait to go back!! Oh and SUPER clean and Easy to Check In!

Relaxing Getaway on the Cape
Great communications with owner—extremely responsive. House exactly as advertised with lots of information provided including local gems for outside activities (dog friendly beaches, biking and kayaking spots) and restaurants for curbside and outside dining. Outdoor space at the house wonderful for games with a huge yard and ideal for sitting outside and reading or just enjoying the view!

Great house/location! Huge yard for dogs & outdoor entertainment
We had a wonderful time staying at this house. It is set back in a quite neighborhood which was great for morning walks. It had a huge yard which the dogs loved and the deck was very spacious so we were all able to enjoy the backyard together.
The house definitely had the Cape feel to it, the layout and decor was perfect for the 6 of us. Bathrooms were nice and updated and all bedrooms had plenty of room for everyone.
We were unfortunately a part of the tornado that came through which put a slight damper on things. Power went out in a few places and flickered throughout the neighborhood. The deck umbrella went down but Nance was able to accommodate and we got another one the same day.
Make sure you head down to the end of the yard to get a view of the sunsets as they are pretty impressive. Grey's beach was a great small beach about 5 minutes from the house. Just make sure you go at low tide!
We did use the Kayaks and bikes which were also a great amenity to have.

Perfect Stay on the Cape
Everything about Nance’s place is perfect! Beautiful big yard for lounging, grilling and eating, and enjoying the sunset. The house is fully equipped with all your beach necessities, kayaks, and bikes. The kitchen is fully stocked and allowed us to cook some great meals, including entertaining some friends. And finally, the house is super comfortable! It is great for families and crawling babies. Couldn’t recommend more!

Wonderful place for a family vacation
This cottage was lovely! Very well maintained, clean, very comfortable, and had all of the amenities we needed (except maybe a beach umbrella, maybe next time! ;-)). The bedrooms were very comfortable and good size. Nance was very attentive and checked on us to see if we needed refills of anything mid-week (ie- toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, etc). It was in a nice quiet neighborhood that allowed for safe biking for the family (bikes provided were great!). Although we didn't use the kayaks, it's nice that they are there for guest use. There was plenty of room for when he had a couple of friends over for dinner as well. Wonderful views of the bay when you are out in the yard. It was nice that we weren't more than an hour from anywhere we wanted to visit (Provincetown). My boys have already said they want to go back, so when we head back to the Cape we'll be contacting Nance again! You will not be disappointed renting this cottage!

Great Time in Yarmouth Port!!
This is our second year staying Sunset Bay Cottage. The house is very comfortable, well appointed, and has what you need. Nance (the owner) has put in the effort to be welcoming and she provides a lot of good information to make your stay fun and easy.
The location is great! The house is in a neighborhood so you can take a walk without needing to venture out onto busy roads. The location is close to both good beaches and grocery and other shopping.

Beautiful marsh views
Lovely home, perfect for a family. Ideal location for exploring the marsh; next to a path to the beach. The views from the large back yard were magnificent. Clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated house, well supplied with bicycles and boats and life vests. The house also has an attached garage with garage door opener -- an unusual amenity. Would have liked to stay longer!

Beautiful home in a perfect location!
This is my second year renting from Nance. I love this cottage!! I found the cottage to be immaculate upon arrival. Nance does an awesome job on the upkeep of the property. She provides her guests with all necessary essentials for a relaxing vacation such as beach chairs, bicycles, towels, linens, etc.. The upstairs bathroom has been remodeled and it looks beautiful. The neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet especially for walking my dog. My father and I enjoyed our breakfast on the back deck. The cottage is less than a 10 minute drive to Mayflower Beach which allows dogs during off season. I made my daily stop at Captain Frostys to pick up their award winning clam chowder and lobster rolls on the way to the beach. Thanks for the accommodations Nance. See you next year.

Gin & Tonic for the Soul
Spent the 4th of July week in this wonderful, well managed property in beautiful Yarmouth Port. The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood bordering conservation land that offers beautiful sunset views (hence the name) and is filled with birds and wildlife - from the deck we saw a doe with her babies and a turkey hen with her chicks. The cottage was well appointed, fully stocked and very clean. The bathrooms and kitchen looked recently renovated and the house is nicely decorated. The central air conditioning really helped during the hot days and there are lots of toys for those who want to bike, kayak, go to the beach, etc. Additionally, the owners provide a lot of reading material for those who want to explore and don't know the area well. Plus there's a new deck and adirondack chairs in the yard near the salt marsh for those who just want to sit and relax. Would definitely recommend, and not hesitate to stay here again.

Absolutely amazing!
Nance was amazing and the cottage was stunning. The cottage was clean and quiet and our dogs loved being able to go on hikes and travel with us. Nancy checked in to see if their was anything we needed and even left a little gift for us on the table. Truly an amazing stay and would definently recommend this cottage and nance to anyone who really wants to relax and enjoy their vacation.

Perfect cottage for a relaxing vacation
This is our 3rd year staying at the cottage. We keep coming back because it is just perfect. Nance always adds a little update each year and keeps the cottage in tip top condition. Such comfy furniture and bedding. Great views and location on the Cape. It has everything you would need and more. No complaints from this renter!

This was the first time I had ever rented a home for a vacation getaway. The pictures I had seen of the home were beautiful but I was weary. Upon arrival I saw the cottage and fell in love with it. The cottage was immaculate. It's located in a quiet neighborhood. My dad enjoyed taking his dog for a walk. Nance does a very job of maintaining a beautiful home and grounds. The bedrooms are very spacious. The walk in shower in the master bedroom is awesome!! Nance is a very good hostess, she has thought of everything someone could possibly need during a stay at the cottage from bikes to kayaks and beach chairs. The cottage is about 10 minutes to Hyannis. If you decide to visit Hyannis you should try the Brazilian Grill and be sure to bring an empty stomach. The cottage is also about 20 minutes or so to Chatham. Captain Frosty located in Dennis less than 10 minutes from the cottage has the freshest seafood. The lobster rolls are very good as well as the fish and chips. I could not have asked for a better relaxing vacation. I have already reserved the cottage for next year. THANK YOU Nance for the hospitality !!

This is ideal in many ways. The location is fantastic; private, safe, and still close to everything. The owner is very easy to work with. The house itself is charming; great deck, good furnishing and bedding, excellent fireplace and lovely layout. The house is stocked! Kayaks, outdoor furniture, games, kitchen supplies, etc. It was really a bit magical to spend a week adjacent to so much undeveloped public land; like spending vacation on the water in a bird sanctuary. Heaven!

Staying at Sunset Bay Cottage was a pure delight. Our family enjoyed a wonderful week of sunshine and ocean breezes while relaxing at this wonderful home. The setting is picture perfect with a field of golden marsh grasses at the base of a large backyard that looks out to Barnstable Harbor and the sand dunes of Sandy Neck Beach in the far distance. My husband and I would sit in the Adirondack chairs with a glass of wine while our three children had a blast running around the yard playing tag and playing catch. We cooked many meals on the large outdoor grill and deck while watching the white-tailed bunnies come for a visit at dusk.
The home is very clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. Our children loved having the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs to themselves while we had our own private suite on the first floor. Nance is a caring homeowner. She stopped by to visit one day and answered a few of our questions and gave some suggestions on things to do which was so kind.
Our favorite bay beaches were close by and we drove to Hyannis (15 minutes) and took the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard one day. We recommend without a hesitation.

This is our second stay at SBC and we loved it even more this time. The cottage has everything you need, from comfy couch, chairs, beds, pillows, stocked kitchen, wonderful views, lots of wildlife (we had raccoon, bunny, chipmunk, squirrels and birds), great water pressure and many options for play - bikes, kayak, a wonderful, fun trail one house down, great walking in the neighborhood.
The location is ideal for trips to beaches, all the quaint towns on the Cape and great shopping. We had to go to Boston for the day and it is only 1 hr 20 minutes away.
Our favorite restaurants are - Skargo's (get the oysters Skargo!), OLd Yarmouth Inn, Yarmouth Pizza, Lost Dog Pub, Land Ho!, The Squire in Chatham and great take out at Brewster Market (best pizza and cheese steak ever) and Petersons Market.
Go take a hike at Wellfleet Wildlife Bird Sanctuary.
You can't go wrong with this rental and Nance is the best landlord. She helped me order 1/4 of a cord of wood for the fireplace which helped out so much.
Can't wait until our next visit.

My family of six had a wonderful week at Sunset Bay Cottage. The yard had beautiful views out over the marsh with the ocean beyond and there were nature trails right next door. Several days we walked the trails to Grays beach with our dog who enjoyed his stay as much as we did. Our favorite beaches were close by too-Chapin, Mayflower, and Corporation. We drove one day to Provincetown for a fun filled day at the beach and cycling along the bike paths. Nance, the owner, was very helpful and provided plenty of information about things to do and places to eat. My daughter left behind her flip flops and bathing suit and Nance was so kind to mail them back to us.
All the furnishings are quality pieces and we especially enjoyed many days on the deck preparing our meals on the large stainless grille and dining on the custom made trestle table with high end chairs. The house has everything you will need…towels, bicycles, kayaks, life vests, helmets, games, and a cooler. The neighborhood is quiet and there are plenty of places to ride the bicycles. Just pack your sunscreen and bring an SUV to transport the kayaks. Nance even supplies one kayak holder that attaches to a roof rack.
This was a truly memorable vacation and we highly recommend.

We stayed there late July 2014-8/2/14 and the setting was great. Large yard next marsh that had trails to walk on. Quiet street and plenty of places to walk the dog. Close to Grays Beach but also Mayflower, Corporation and other beaches. Owner was very, very helpful and provided plenty of information about things to do. We forgot some items and I recall the owner was nice enough to mail a bathing suit to us, she really took ownership of our stay. House was well kept. Highly recommend. I would stay there again for sure and it's the type of spot that would be great in the early summer like May or in October because of the Marsh trails being right there. Great stay!

Another great summer vacation at Sunset Bay Cottage. We come back every year because it keeps getting better. We loved the updates of new comfortable deck chairs and outdoor rug and the new slipcovered sofa in the family room. Our family went fishing and kayaking at Dennis pond several times. We also ventured to Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown and brought the kayaks for a really great day with whale sightings and even a tall ship. We even went to the Wellfleet drive-in which was a blast! Next year can't come soon enough!
