The property itself was fantastic. Great location, very spacious, the atmosphere was perfect. However, the little things need some upgrades. The stove would not bring pans up to temperature, so we had to use the grill outside. The wifi was very slow. The knives were blunt. The TV in the living room is very old. Overall, we were had a great time, but the little things stopped it from being perfect.

Plenty of room for our family! Plenty of parking. Neighborhood was great! No complaints. Would definitely book again.

If you are looking a sparkling, new, model home of a cabin/vacation house, you may want to look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a comfortable home that exudes warmth and allows for you and your family to come together, relax, and make memories, look no further. It was quiet, the surroundings are beautiful, especially the view from the rear deck towards the woods. There is a hiking trail just a couple hundred feet from the rear of the cabin. It is an easy hike and we did it every day. On the trail there was an abundance of flora, butterflies, birds, and wildlife to admire. We will stay here again. Here are some things you should be aware of: 1. There are no open fires allowed so you CAN’T use the fire pit portrayed in one of the pics. A little disappointing, but understandable given the fire danger. 2. Bring camp chairs with you for using in the fire pit area. Even though we couldn’t build a fire, we enjoyed sitting and reading there surrounded by pine trees and large boulders. The chairs are also useful for the balcony off the Master Bedroom. The chairs on the balcony are pretty worn. 3. There was no traditional coffee maker, just a Keurig, so bring k-cups. (Other than than not having a traditional coffee maker, the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you meed) 4. This should be a no brainer, but bring insect repellent, we also used a Thermacell Lantern on the table on the rear deck to ward off mosquitoes while eating an playing games on the rear deck.
Bring you family, enjoy, and make memories…

We loved everything, specially being close to the lake.

The house was nice, showing some age but nice and quiet, the inside was clean but deck and exterior not so much. In the master bedroom we found wet spots on the carpet, proceeded to see water dripping from the ceiling all weekend, there was a cover taken down from roof so I assume someone knows about issue. Dripping sound
made it VERY hard to sleep, Friday morning I reached out on vrbo website with a question about check in... just got a check out response today 4 days late. Disappointing to not get a response all weekend, and the key code and lock box was very confusing,

We’ve stayed @ many different rental properties @ shaver so good some not so much. This property is is the best so far. Everything functioned properly at this property with no complaints. This is a perfect location and an amazing house. It did not disappoint. We got plenty of snow this trip, which was great. I would definitely stay here again. Snow plows were prompt on both the driveway and roadways. Thank you for a great family getaway. Will definitely be staying here again.

Snow and cabins just go together so well, we were able to witness snow fall during our stay. Our family will hold the memories for years to come

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was great, except one family member had to leave because there was not Wi-Fi. Unable to stream movies or use fire pit at night

this house was very comfortable and accommodated two of our families. it's full with all appliances, kitchenware and utensils needed. has a beautiful porch looking out to the bonfire area which we loved. string lights made it very pretty and comfortable. very nice area with a walking trail behind the home. this is our 2nd time staying here and would love to make it a tradition for the years to come. the only thing that I would like to address is how it needs to be further cleaned right before we stay. we pay enough money for a clean home. although counters and the area was wiped down and cleaned. there were left over food from what I'm thinking previous renters and there was rat droppings in the drawers in the kitchen and pantry. there was a package of food that was chewed through from rats. there was so many spider webs through the entire house. when it was time for bed there was spider on our pillow. there was a big spider in the shower. and even one crawled on my sister in her bedroom where she stayed. this home is lovely and comfortbale to stay but please take the time to thoroughly clean for the next family.

Besides the deep cleaning we had to do upon arrival, my family and I had a beautiful white Christmas experience! Plenty of room & space 😊

Visited Shaver Lake for an early snowy Christmas. The location of house was perfect. There was plenty of space to play in the backyard. House was the perfect size. This house did have some cons. The upstairs sofa beds were just springs, you’re not able to sleep on them. House was full of cobwebs, the tvs are outdated, kitchen floor was dirty, the gas stove burns very slow and the light on oven goes out. But overall had a great time.

This cabin is absolutely lovely and we had a wonderful week there. The kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We were very pleased to have AC, but wish that we were able to program it or turn it off. The Nest had a mind of its own and often times we were freezing. The internet was extremely slow which made streaming difficult, but this turned out to be a good thing as we played card games instead. We were not able to use the exterior fire pit which was disappointing. But this was outside of the owners control, due to there being extreme fire danger. So if you plan on visiting during the summer, be aware that you most likely will not be able to use it. Living Room couch is extremely comfortable with lots of sitting room.

Beautiful home!
We loved it here! House was spacious & plenty of room & beds for everyone. House was clean & appliances worked well. There is a wrap around deck that was perfect for our baby in his walker. There is a place to sit in the back of the home with a fire pit (which we did not use). There are string lights across the area which make it beautiful at night. Theres a hiking trail directly behind the home that we definitely enjoyed. Our only issue with the home are the old TV's. The one in the living room was old & had a big yellow spot in the middle of the screen. We rented the home on Super Bowl Sunday & the TV was terrible. The TV in the larger room would not connect to the satellite box making it useless. Upgrading the TV's would make this house perfect. Would definitely book again.

Didn’t stay because National Forest closed but was charged full rent.
Even though California closed the adjacent national forest a few days before our stay the owner would not refund or reschedule our stay. They said the property was still accessible. But for what? To sit there are stare out the windows?
I had to pay for the full time even though I didn’t stay there. No point with the National Forest being closed.

Nice, but in need of repairs
The house was nice and worked well with my purpose. Disappointed that what was listed in the description was not correct. Photos and description definitely needs updating. The Foosball game was not in the house and the jetted tub was out of order. The air conditioning was almost useless in the house, making sleeping at night difficult. Bed rooms were not set up in the fashion that was described in the pictures.

Will recommend this house to everyone. The view was amazing. The house came with all the accommodations. Enough room for my family. The kitchen came supplied with everything we needed and more. Will be staying here again

Rockin AC
Loved the place, everything was great except no Fooseball table, Air Condition was a major plus, and worked well during our stay as it was near 100 degrees, easy access to trees and sitting area in back yard. Definitely would stay again.

We stayed for three nights at the cabin. It provides ample space and the kitchen provides all utensils for cooking at least some basic meals. For a premium vacation rental we would have expected a little more though. Almost all lights in the upstairs multi purpose room were not functioning. The two bedrooms with queen/king size beds have broken and intermittent lights also. Frustrating and so easy to fix. The listing mentioned a foosball table which was not at the property, so the listing should be updated to reflect that (we were really looking forward to it). The gas stove had very low gas pressure, making even basic cooking very time consuming. The coffee maker had not been cleaned before our stay and the jar was visibly dirty from previously cooked coffee. While there was dish soap, there was no cleaning sponge etc. that would allow cleaning any dishes or cutlery without the dish washer. Instead, a white face cloth was placed at the sink. I do not think it is a good idea to clean e.g. a pan with tomato sauce with a white face cloth so be prepared and bring some dish sponges with you. Also, the internet connection was terrible. We had problems to do video conferencing, which has become a necessity in the pandemic. The cabin was okay for our stay. If the owners would put in some really minor work it could be great, and of course the listing should not promise things like the foosball table that are actually not at the property.

Rockin Buffalo cabin
We stayed beginning of March 2021. Still snow on the ground and great backyard with areas for children to sled. Good size outdoor deck to enjoy. House was great and cozy, however, we were unable to get inside of the home on scheduled time checkin day due to cleaning crew took 20min after our scheduled time to vacate home. Interior was nice and homey. Fireplace was wonderful! We had 6 kids with us and we were all looking forward to the foosball table as pictured in listing, unfortunately there was no foosball table present and little to no games in home (thankfully we brought some of our own). Multiple lights burned out in kitchen, and upstairs game room lights did not work which made it difficult once sun went down, also there was a can light in the ceiling of the living room that was loose (needs repaired). Master bedroom was roomy and bed was comfortable. 3 bathrooms were nice. Our Kids loved the bunk beds. Aside from a few minor repairs with lighting that home needed We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

We stayed here in December 2020. The house was big enough for 12 of us to stay. The kids had a great time. Few small things I noticed. The house looks really big in the photos but the living area is slightly smaller. Few blinds in the master bedroom were broken, so it was too much bright light early in the morning. The sofa beds in the other bedroom upstairs were not comfortable to sleep. For a short stay that may be okay. For the trash, I had to call the property manager and he mentioned that the trash had to be packed in bags and left in the house.Overall we all had a good time here.

Great stay
Loved the house and the space. Close to the lake and to the town. The back deck was amazing at night for dinner. However the ants were definitely a problem attacking any food we had on the counter tops and in the downstairs bathroom. I would definitely stay there again. It was a great stay for my family.

Very nice, comfortable cabin
This cabin was perfect for my family of 5 adults and 4 young childen. Space for parking was more than adequate, all appliances worked well, plenty of seating in at dining table and in living room. Loved the game room and the wrap around deck, part of which was covered and out of the weather. We booked hoping to have snow and while we did not have that when we arrived, the kids loved all of the boulders to climb on and all of the trails around the area. We did, however, get some snowfall during the second night and morning of our stay...it was delightful...it was like waking up on Christmas morning for the kids!

Feel free to contact me, Thank you

A beautiful property in a lovely setting.
Some housekeeping defecits. No pillowcases on downstairs bed; no laundry detergent to start laundry; dishwasher was left with food in the bottom so we did not use. I left notes for all of these.

Amazing location
Would definitely recommend for those looking for a relaxing vacation
