It was passable for quick visit as accommodation was in short supply due to Golf Open

The bedroom & bathroom were very clean and it was a bonus to have a fridge, microwave, toaster & kettle as breakfast was not included. Coffee, tea & sugar were provided but no milk. Fortunately we had taken our own supplies of cereals & milk.

It would have been better if there were blinds at the bedroom window. We needed to keep the curtains closed to have any privacy. The entrance hall often had shoes etc on the floor & the door at the end of the hallway needed some TLC. No flexibility on arriving before or after the given check-in time without paying a late check-in fee. As this “guest house “ is more like an Airbnb a key safe facility would be beneficial. We didn’t have any cash so didn’t pay the £10 we were asked for when we were held up in motorway traffic and arrived at 4.30pm. The “cleaner” or maybe owner came around the corner from the back of the property- 2 minutes away or maybe he actually lived there ??? Parking is on the street or on the pavement in front of the property unless you pay for the space at the back of the property. The appearance of the property could be improved with blinds at all windows. No. 129 which is two doors down is very smart. A few extra bits could take the property from passable to very good.

very basic, but clean and reasonable value for money.

It's very clean, it's a reasonable price for what it is. If you want to avoid the high prices of the centre for a one or two night stay and don't mind being away from things, it's a reasonable choice.

This isn't a 'guest house' in the traditional meaning of the phrase. It's more a room with some basic facilities. I think it should be called 'Denny's Rooms' or something like that to make this point more clear. Also, a 'guest house' does rather imply that there would be a proprietor on the premises to welcome you. The restrictive check-in times are not very useful for many people who are travelling to get to the place. However, given the value for money and the cleanliness of the place, it is a perfectly adequate place to stay for a night. The beds are rather hard and uncomfortable, but maybe be you are happy with a hard bed. The windows need renovating so they close properly.

comfy and affordable, good for couples.

Room and bathroom were very clean, bed was confortable and a bus stop near by that takes you to city centre.

It would have been good to have check-in instructions before arrival to the guesthouse.

communication level was 0. i have asked property owner about late check in and response was that you have missed it. I had to spend a night outside, as no one opened the door. check in time slot is very very short, between 1:30 and 3 PM. so totally disappointed and will never recommed to anyone to stay there.

the man was a good person he recent people who treated it bad so may ask for a 20 pound deposit but apart from that it’s good

Work for singles on a short stay

Clean and comfortable room, you have everything inside the room, microwave, fridge, cabinet for clothes and one for dishes

The smell get in the rooms if someone cook or use the microwaves in other rooms. Reception staff is not that friendly. Location a bit far from most of bus stations. No many shops around.

Amazing value for money, extremely convenient location, bus stop right on the door step, everything you need there, extr

everything you need is there. exceptionally liked the fact they had a personal iron and ironing board, tv, a fan to accommodate for the (VERY) hot weather and a mini lamp to give a nice evening lighting. The bathroom was regularly cleaned and maintained, everything seemed exceptionally clean to be honest. there was also complimentary tea/coffee, personal kettle microwave and fridge

The WiFi was slightly odd. overall decent connection but couldn’t link the TV to the WiFi and spent quite a while sorting it but it never worked, however, the TV was nice and convenient. There also was no kitchen and the entrance door and entry part was a little stiff but again, nothing terrible. The floorboard were also very very squeaky but as long as the person below couldn’t hear then it is fine of course, I was just conscious of that with every step I took. However, again, overall these are very little things just for note to the landlord but they kept it very well.

Enlightening

There was Netflix on the telly; stolen from a previous guest. Listening to Denny shout at another guest was pretty entertaining but we did need to sleep.

The shouting, the specimen jar from a hospital in the bedside cabinet drawer and the next morning when the taxi driver said “why did you stay there”.

The room was bright and clean, comfortable bed, modern facilities

The person who seemed to be the manager appeared to be lacking in social skills. I was asked to pay an extra £5 for being let in at 9 pm, even though the manager lives on site.
