in the middle of nature

it was in the middle of the jungle and near to the national park. Dulaj looked after everything and organised a safari tour for us. we saw so many animals! he even picked us up because the place was hard to find.

the beds were very hard.

Mooi huisje midden in de natuur.

Schoon huisje voorzien van alle gemakken. prima douche en goede airco. De rust midden in de natuur. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Het bed vonden wij behoorlijk hard. Na een dag safari is er weinig keuze in het menu om te bestellen. Er wordt geen alcohol geserveerd. Er is verder niets in de omgeving dan natuur. Je kan niet zelfstandig de locatie verlaten. Locatie is buiten het dorp adres komt niet overeen met de informatie op booking.com

Sehr saubere Bungalows & herzliche Gastgeber

Sehr saubere Zimmer, die Bungalows liegen mitten in der Natur. Freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die gerne bei der Organisation von Safaris helfen. Das Abendessen (Curry) in der Unterkunft war lecker.

Wenn es regnet, ist man quasi im Bungalow gefangen und kommt nur schwer von A nach B. Während unseres Aufenthalts hat es leider sehr viel geregnet und es war sowohl der Yala Nationalpark, als auch die Unterkunft überflutet. Ebenso sind leider viele Straßen kaputt gegangen, so dass teilweise sogar die Jeeps auf dem Weg von und zur Unterkunft stecken geblieben sind.

Perfekter Ausgangspunkt in einem gut ausgestattem Bungalow für unsere Safari

Wir wurden am Ende der befestigten Straße mit dem Tuktuk abgeholt, nach einer längeren Anfahrt sind wir mitten im Dschungel angekommen. Dort wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und haben einen luxuriösen Bungalow an einem Seeufer bewohnt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und haben uns eine tolle Safari im Yala-Nationalpark organisiert. Nalinda war unser Fahrer, der unglaublich gut gefahren ist und uns mit seinen Adleraugen wahnsinnig viele Tiere gezeigt hat. Das Essen im Wadula war sehr sehr gut! Wifi war sehr gut. Die Weiterfahrt wurde problemlos organisiert.

10/10 Safari lodge, great staff and great Safari

your room is its own out building with a lovely big bed and en-suite. All toiletries are provided in the bathroom, and you have a lovely terrace outside with sun loungers to enjoy the peace and quite. the staff are amazing and do everything they can for you. they provided us with taxi service by collecting us from Ella, and then dropping us to Hikkaduwa after the safari day for very good rates. the safari was amazing, and we saw all the animals possible in Yala including Sloth bears and Leopards. 10/10 would recommend

Above my expectations, the staff is very helpful, the safari is very well prepared

Very quiet and clean place. Owners speak good English. Air conditioner works extremely well. Location, there is a lake nearby, very nice walk. Safari is well prepared. Driver speaks very good English, very experienced and tried hard. We had elderly and kid with us, I was very concerned about the bumpy ride. I am glad it turned out ok.

The food was too salty for us, although the baffolo curd desert was yummy.

It is not a stay it is an experience. Loved it!

This is not a stay in a hotel. this is an experience! From the moment you arrive, location is a bit hard to find, but they’ll pick you up and drive you to the resort. The other brother stands with a welcome drink and a refreshing towel. The room is great, good bed good shower and clean. Even good wifi in the room… I had twice dinner there and once lunch. I asked for a lake view table and they arranged it beautiful with lamps and a campfire. Stunning! The food is sooooo good, best I had in Sri Lanka. Everything you ask, nothing is too much for them. I really was amazed Go here!!! you will love it 😍

Exceptional

The individual houses are located in the forest with a lot of amazing animals and green plants. A rooms are really clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts are extremely kind and polite people, who can arrange a jeep safari in the Yala National Park if you need. With the delicious dinner in the garden was an unforgettable experience for me staying here and it was my favorite accomodation during our three weeks in Srí Lanka. (out of 8)

Exceptional

Amazing stay! Wonderful lodge, the dining area outside is very romantic! You can book a private jeep safari for around 55-65$ per person! We even got a pickup from the beach (2 hours drive) and a drop off to Ella (2 hours) for a very good price. You can get lunch and dinner there since it is in the middle of the jungle! The staff is soooooo helpful and lovely Absolutely recommendable!!! Go for it!

Exceptional

Wadula Safari is an amazing place, located in a quiet, peaceful spot right beside a lake, very close to Yala National Park. Cottages are modern, comfortable and clean, equipped with everything you may need. They are surrounded by nature, so all you hear are animal sounds and you can easily spot monkeys and various species of birds while just sitting on the terrace. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, we really felt looked after. The food was delicious, rice&curry we got for dinner was actually the best we had in Sri Lanka. The safari they arranged for us was the highlight of our trip: it was perfectly organized and we saw lots of animals, usually without anyone else around. Highly recommended!

Perfect stay

Everything about our experience here was perfect. The accommodation is set in a remote area next to a lake and really feels like you’re out in the wild. The bungalow was really clean and comfortable and we loved all the little touches in the room. The staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Our breakfast lunch and dinner were all very tasty too! We also did a safari tour through Wadula which I would highly recommend, one of the highlights of Sri Lanka for me!

Magical and unique stay

Wadula Safari was the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka ! The property is ran by two brothers, Dulaj and Chamit, who are so attentive and kind. They provide breakfast, lunch and dinner and cooked amazing traditional food. Meals are served in an outdoor dining area by the lake, lighten by candles at night - just magical ! The room was sparkling clean and they provide toiletries as well. The property is settled in a jungle forest and you can spot black face monkeys and elephants. it feels so secluded, peaceful. our stay was incredible and we highly recommend it ! Clem and Leo
