Superb Summer Break
Fantastic welcome from the host Julie, who offered lots of friendly advice and suggestions as the best places to visit i.e Ronda, Sentinil, Zahara etc. The pool, gardens and views are beautiful. We had freshly picked grapes and figs from the garden. A 5 min walk to the town Plazza which offers a good selection of bars and restaurants. We tried most and all are highly recommended; fantastic food, very reasonably priced and friendly locals. We are already considering a return visit soon.

Algodonales Holiday
Julie was a friendly and welcoming host with great advice for visiting the local area. The town centre is a 5-10 minute walk away with numerous places to eat & drink at very reasonable prices, Pizzeria La Cueva was our favourite, delicious pizza, tapas & pasta. The apartment was cool even in the 30+ heat. It’s a great base to explore the surrounding area of beautiful Andalusian towns & landscape, we climbed to the castle above Zahara to watch the sunrise one morning, the views of the lake & the town below were quite breathtaking. We visited Seville for the day & on Julie’s advice parked on the outskirts & got the train into the city centre which made the trip much easier. A stay here is highly recommended.

Algondales a great base
Really well situated for exploring Seteneil, Olvera and Lake Zahara. The accommodation was great and very peaceful. The pool was lovely and we had it all to ourselves.
Gorgeous, well maintained gardens. Sadly missed the oranges on the trees but the lemons and grapes looked like they’ll be ripening very soon.
The owner Julie is next door so frequently pops by to offer advice.
Would love to retune to the area again, we missed a couple of places because the kids were so happy to have a pool to themselves.

A perfect spot for a getaway in the south of Spain
Julie was an excellent communicator and our arrival at the house was relatively relaxed. The apartment was exactly as advertised with the additional benefit of being surrounded by the most abundant orange trees. Freshly squeezed juice was on the menu for every breakfast. It was a good base for exploring the nearby “white villages” as well as a quick trip to Ronda. We even managed a trip to Cordoba from here without too much trouble. The local village, an easy 5-10 minute walk, has lots of good places to eat or to enjoy a cooling drink. Beds were comfy, the apartment was cool even though it was 31C outside. The pool is also a great benefit. Highly recommended. Thankyou Julie and Warren for hosting us.

Rural, quiet, and in a beautiful setting
We enjoyed our stay in Algodonales, despite the unexpected cold weather in November. The apartment is older with a small kitchen and living area but two ample bedrooms with single comfortable beds. Both bathrooms are clean and roomy with great showers and ample hot water. Julie and Warren were very personable and helpful. They gave us great advice on places to visit and ways to get there. If you're going to Seville by car, do take their advice to park and ride using the metro. Easy and fun. If you go during warm weather, you'll love the pool and opportunities to relax in the sun in the garden.
It is a wonderful location for visiting white Andalusian villages and for many outdoor sports activities and hiking.

Excellent accommodation in a great location.
We stayed for 4 nights in July as part of a month long trip from Barcelona to Gibraltar.
The property is in an excellent location with great scenic views.
It's very quiet with all the facilities you need should you wish to stay in during the evening but the great restaurants in the town are so cheap it's not really worth the bother.
Julie was an excellent hostess will give you all the information you need on the area to ensure you get the best out of your stay.
The pool is lovely and so refreshing after a day out exploring.
The property is extremely clean and comfortable and is a credit to all the hard work, care and attention to detail that Julie and warren have put in.
If you are looking for somewhere as a base to explore this area then look no further.

Great apartment and fabulous host
Julie and Warren are just great. They gave us valuable information and recommendations about our visit. They are personable and available . The apartment is very spacious. The beds are the best we slept in during our entire month long vacation. The living areas were comfortable and kitchen contained all required equipment. We are grilled with our visit and would come again.

Wonderful property and hosts
The apartment is part of a larger house with gardens and the pool area. The apartment itself has two floors. The bedrooms are on the lower floor and are nice and cool if it gets warm. The upper part is the living room with a small kitchen. We usually had breakfast and dinner at the apartment, which we prepared inside and then ate out on the terrace.
We traveled with a 4-year-old, who was quite excited about the pool and the fact that there was a cat, a dog and two horses.
Julie and her son Warren live in the other part of the building and were very helpful with everything and also provided a lot of information about the surroundings and places to see. They were always available when we had questions and lovely to be around.
We had a wonderful time there.

Thee most wonderful place to stay in Europe!
We knew Casa La Parra was going to be great but it was beyond our expectations!
The service was unbelievable - Julie and Warren not only ensured all possible amenities were available but always at a first class standard. Although they must work so hard to maintain such an impeccable quality, they never failed to find the time to help us in every way possible as if they had all the time in the world and made us feel so welcome that we felt part of their family.
Casa La Parra is a beautiful place and is ideally situated between Malaga and Seville. We hired a low cost car for our stay and Julie (the owner) advised us about all the best places to visit and my goodness, we certainly went to some stunning places and enjoyed so many delicious meals for an absolute pittance!
The hospitality was most enjoyable aspect of our stay and the worst was not being able to stay longer!

Lovely accommodation and excellent central locatio
Julie and Warren greeted us with a tour of the well-maintained property. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. Warren was especially helpful with IT issues we experienced! Julie provided us with helpful tips as we made our way to Seveille, Jerez and the white towns in the area. There are many fruit trees on the property...unfortunately for us the fruit was still ripening. We did appreciate the bottle of wine that Julie had waiting for us. The property is at the edge of the village and it was convenient to walk to the main square where the stores and restaurants were located. Thank you, Julie and Warren!

Home from home
We have stayed at Julie and Warren's on numerous occasions and this is, in itself, an indication of the accommodation. The hosts are always welcoming and the two bedroomed apartment is clean and is fully equipped with everything required for self catering. There is also a wood burner in the apartment, not that we needed to use it as it was too hot but on those colder mornings/evenings it must be very welcome. There is also a facility available for english tv for those that need to catch up with the soaps!! As mentioned above - home from home.

Perfect place for a relaxing holiday.
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed - including air conditioning! Julie and Warren were fantastic hosts and went out of their way to make sure the holiday went smoothly - the pool and gardens and setting were fantastic - very relaxing and it's in a good location as you can get to bigger towns or the national park or the village is on your doorstep for shopping etc. Recommend it highly.

Lovely stay
We were greeted warmly by Julie at Casa la Parra. The accommodation was well equipped and comfortable a real home from home. It was very clean and well maintained with beautiful gardens and views. The surrounding area was very pretty with some lovely white villages.. A car is probably essential, but there are some good walks near by if you want to leave it behind for the day. Algodonales is a very friendly bustling little village with a good mix of little shops, a couple of small supermarkets plus some friendly restaurants. A little market popped up on Thursday morning out side the house. Our stay was made extra memorable by our lovely hosts Julie and Warren.

Casa La Parra, Algodonales
Just back from a 7 night visit in January and we had a super time. Julie couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the studio apartment and loved the fact the kitchen facilities were in a room separate to the sitting/bedroom. The kitchen was the best equipped one we've ever come across-Julie has thought of everything you could need, no matter of how much or little cooking you want to do. The entire apartment was spotless and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We sat out in the sun on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains, olive and citrus trees. We even picked our own oranges and lemons! We had good wifi in the apartment too. Algodonales is a lovely small 'white town' but has shops and restaurants/bars so all you need is on your doorstep and the prices represent excellent value for money. There's also a large Mercadona supermarket in Villamartin, about a 20 minute drive away, that has a super selection of everything. We'd highly recommend staying at Julie and Warren's and would love to return, sooner rather than later!

Casa La Parra Algodonales
We had a lovely time at Casa La Parra. During our stay the weather was exceptionally hot , and having such a beautiful pool with good shade, and comfortable sunbeds and pool furniture, was just perfect. The pool is exceptionally large, probably the largest in any house we have stayed in in Andalucia, and we have stayed in a lot !
It is all beautifully maintained by Julie and Warren. We spent a great night on the terrace looking at the planets and stars through their telescope . MAGIC .
Algondonales is a friendly real place with a great central square which is really family friendly. A short drive away is the stunningly beautiful Zahara de La Sierra , which is more than worth a trip. We also went to Olvera, which although we have been to Andalucia a lot , we have never seen, a real gem , and a must if you are in the area! Lots of places to eat in the area ranging from exceptionally cheap Menu del Dia about 8 euros for three courses including a drink within easy walking distance , to more upmarket places in Zahara, with stunning views!
All in all a great place to spend time and relax. Julie and Warren , a great mother and son team will make you more than welcome. Thank you very much for such a lovely week.

'A perfect place to relax, unwind and explore'
This is a hidden gem: the house & the area are fantastic! We stayed in the private apartment which had everything you could have needed for any length of stay, probably the best we have visited in spain (and we've been to many). The gardens and pool were a perfect area to relax and unwind combined with outside barbecue and eating areas which gave fabulous vistas.Julie ensured our stay was perfect, the right attention to detail without intruding on our privacy. Can also highly recommend the village of Algodonales, a really friendly Spanish town with a great selection of bars and restaurants serving excellent value/quality food! Thank you for sharing your home with us! Hope we can be back one day!

Paradise in Andalucia
This is a villa/farm in the hills around the sierra grazalema national park. It is beautifully situated to access the hill towns by car each day. Julie and her son Warren are wonderful hosts who take care to answer all inquiries and provide local knowledge suggestions to insure you see the best spots. She sent us to Setenil and knew we would love it ( which we did). After a long day, she would offer cake and tea when she saw we needed some refreshment desperately. Just made us feel totally at home. Warren even helped me with some problem I had on our car rental. Cannot say enough good things about the place or the hosts. The view from the porch out over the hills is one that is hard to imagine. Great value for the accommodation and everything is spotless. This is the best place to stay for several days and use as a central location to access Ronda, Granada, the national park and all the white towns.

Idyllic
We stayed in the private studio for 11 days in September this year. Having avoided Spain for some years we were enticed back to it by the prospect of this lovely property and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived Julie & Warren welcomed us into their home. The studio was lovely and a lot bigger than we thought. The pool area and gardens were immaculately kept and although there were other people staying more often than not we had this area to ourselves. They gave us useful information on where to go and also about pre booking certain venues we wanted to viisit. Using this as our base we explored most of the white villages and some of the larger towns and ended up with 3 days in Seville at the end of our visit. The house is on the outskirts of the village and everything is within easy walking distance and believe me with some of the streets being so narrow you are better off on foot. There are tapas bars and restaurants so reasonably priced you dont have to venture far afield. One of the highlights was to come back after a day out and sit on the terrace with a drink and a slice of Julie's homemade Lemon drizzle cake..bliss. I would definitely recommend Casa la Parra to anyone wishing to explore the real Spain.
