About this farm stay rental
This farmhouse located on 500 acres, is a 2 room/2 bath house. One room has a efficiency kitchen (2 eye electric cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, small dishwasher and small refrigerator) open den area (tv) with a full bed tucked away with a privacy curtain and full bath. The second room has 2 bunk beds, tv and full bath. Outside on the back porch is a propane grill and a washer/dryer closet.
Off the front porch there is a stairway that leads to the roof top with awesome views.
The house is built using two 40' metal shipping containers as the interior frame. It is unique and charming and made with old cypress and pine wood that was reclaimed from other building on the property that were built over 100 years ago.. We have miles of pet friendly, well maintained farm roads that are great for walks, jogging and cycling (when dry).
This house is located on private, gated well maintained, gravel drive on a very historic working farm just 7 minutes from downtown Memphis. The farm is rich in history. Native Americans lived here from both the early inhabitants to the transient Eastern Tribes of the Trail of Tears, that originates on and runs through the farm. Also, Spanish history,--Hernando De Soto visited this site in the 1500's. Civil War activity, Sultanna sinking ect.

This place will absolutely not disappoint! If you’re looking for the convenience and access to the big city, but in a quiet, safe, and adorable spot, this is it! Host are so friendly and accomodating, the farm is beautiful, and lots of little extras like the barn and gardens. Can’t say enough great things about this property!

What a unique property! Peaceful, farm setting with southern hospitality in an absolutely charming shipping container home. Check out the roof-top deck and views. And, yes, it really is that close to Memphis.

Emily is a super host. Great communicator and helpful when needed. The container home is just as described and much more. The home is very clean and charming. The beds are comfortable and the location is perfect. Only 7-10 minutes from downtown Memphis. The roof sitting area is ideal. You have access to the barn for your entertainment along with those staying onsite. I can’t say enough about our short stay but will return in the future for an extended stay. Thank you Emily.

We were in town for Beale Street Music Fest and this was a perfect location, we were less than 10 minutes from Beale Street. Emily was super accommodating and quick to communicate. The property was so cute, just wish we would’ve had more time to just enjoy it all! This will be my go to anytime we travel to Memphis area!

Wonderful experience at this property. Less than a ten minute drive to Memphis. Full use of entire property including a barn with a fire pit, tv, ping pong and more. Also allowed the kids to visit with the horses.

Oasis Near the City
You won't believe you are a short trip to downtown Memphis when you pull into this adorable farm! Everything you need is provided and the hosts are accommodating and amazing with communication. You truly feel like a guest when they offer for you to pick their blackberries and love on their horses. We were traveling with our daughter and her new husband to help them get ready for professional school in Memphis. The two sides with separate bathrooms, beds, TVs, and fridges were perfect for us. We had space to watch movies and play cards together, but then also had privacy. Perfect for our weekend stay!

The rooftop deck was great. The owner and managers very friendly and helpful. The best part was the dog friendly farm. Our dog loved being off leash and playing with other dogs. We will return.

Great Spot!
Wonderful location and a farmhouse feel. We had a work trip that took us near by. The property is large and the owners said it was ok for us to walk around. We fed the horses a couple times which was fun.

Wonderful Place to Stay
This is an incredible place to stay! We came for a University of Memphis football game and it couldn’t be easier to get into Memphis! So close and yet we couldn’t wait to get back to sit on the roof deck with a glass of wine and watch the sunset and see the stars come out! The house was great, the beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked nicely! We will be back!

We were in town for a football game - and found this great place! Beds were comfortable, plenty of room and the roof deck is awesome! We only made coffee, so didn’t use kitchen utensils but there seemed to stocked. If you are headed to Memphis and want a quiet , quaint place- this is the answer for sure!!

Fantastic!
I can’t say enough about this wonderful property and the hosts. The adorable container-box cottage was much more spacious than it appears in the pics and was stocked with absolutely everything we needed, plus some. We arrived the day they shut down the i-40 bridge and Charlie was super helpful in ensuring we found our way to the farm. We really enjoyed meeting the hosts’ dogs and horses, as well as Emily and Charlie and other guests. I really can’t recommend this property more. I would love to go back for a longer visit!
PS: Even with the bridge closure, we were able to get in and out of Memphis reasonably quickly.

Nice place
Very nice experience. Very accurately considered a farmhouse with a kitchenette. In the country but 10 min drive from city.

Peaceful and Convenient
The container house is the newest of the 4 or so rental cabins on the farm clustered together but spaced apart, so you are alone in the middle of the farm, which was good. My teenage son and I and our dog were traveling thru Memphis and this was a great stop. Peaceful, easy, nice owners, pretty land, and good roof top deck.

6th Visit
This is my 6th time staying at this property and it never disappoints. Emily and Charlie are very accommodating and any house at their farm is spectacular. This is a must stay iv you are ever visiting Memphis or the surrounding are.

Fun, functional and convenient!
This was a great, fun property to stay at for our three days to explore Memphis. We met our daughter and her dog, Charlie, here and had plenty of room in a very comfortable setting. Tucked away from the noise and chaos of the City. Yet we were able to be on Beale street within 10 minutes. Our hosts even had some farm fresh eggs and english muffins for our first breakfast. All we had to add was some bacon, sweet potatoes and Prosseco!
The information packet was very helpful in finding some good eats and things to do. I would add the underground railroad museum to your list. Fascinating!
Everything that you need for your stay is here and easy to access. Including a propane grill on the back deck.
This is the only property we will stay at if we ever return to Memphis.
Thank you Emily and Charlie for providing us such a unique experience.

Awesome Stay
Unfortunately, I did not get to stay due to a family emergency, however my sisters and mom were able to stay. They rated it and A+ and said they would definitely stay here again.

Great Place
Really great place and still so close to downtown Memphis. The extra touches by the host were great and the place was very well decorated and clean! Only negative was that when the wind blows it is VERY loud and there was a very small leak when it rained, but overall I would absolutely recommend!

Quiet and well appointed
Charming place, comfortable beds, we enjoyed the quiet in the evenings after the hustle and bustle of Memphis. It really is 8 minutes away! Eggs and English muffins in the fridge was an appreciated touch.

Quaint
My 7 year old couldn’t wait to cook the eggs and English Muffins provided by the owners. The hot plate was a hit!
The cabin was nice, quiet and located in a great spot close to nearby attractions. We especially enjoyed Graceland of course but also enjoyed all the other historical landmarks as well.
We will be back.

Great little place but much bigger than a hotel room!
Great little place very convenient to Memphis. While it was only a 10 minute drive to Downtown Memphis, it felt like we were many miles into the country when on the farm. I really appreciate what the owners have done to preserve the history of the farm. It is much more than what you can see in the photos. The owners checked on us to make sure we arrived and had what we needed but were not in any way intrusive. When we come back to Memphis we will stay here again.
