2 Bedroom, 1 Bedroom & Studio Vacation Rental in 4 Apartment historic Building
Our petite 2 bedroom unit is located in a historic complex built in the 1880's to house railroad workers. The building complex sits on 6 acres of land along a hillside. Plenty of trees and grassy areas to enjoy as well as a short walking trail down to the Connecticut River. In the small town of Wells River, you'll feel like you've gone back in time and enjoy nature along the Connecticut River. Cross the bridge and drive into Woodsville, NH and enjoy all the modern day amenities and stores for your convenience. Just two minutes away from food stores, wal-marts, fast food, etc, but you'll feel at peace in this beautiful apartment.
The unit is located on the second floor with an interior stairwell and with a wrap around porch along the side with forest views. We have updated to the unit with modern amenities and stocked it for your comfort with convenient items for your stay.
The living room features two settees and a roku/Internet TV with SlingTV. The small eat in kitchen seats 3 with oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven and fully stocked with dishware and bakeware.
The master bedroom features a queen size bed with memory foam mattress while the guest bedroom has a twin bed. Bathroom has a stand up corner shower.
This unit is part of a complex of other units available as vacation rentals. Rent this unit alone or if looking to accommodate a larger group, rent multiple units together. Please note the stairs and balcony. This unit is not recommended for anyone with difficulties with stairs or young toddlers.

Traveling from Florida to visit family we were welcomed by a quaint apartment that was so comfortable that after our four day visit we did not want to leave. The grounds and the river were beautiful! Everyone there was very nice and made our stay wonderful.

Overall a very lovely stay. The location was ideal for us, 5 minutes from the grandkids in Woodsville. The wrap around porch was perfect to enjoy our morning coffee and bird watch. Lots of vintage charm, trees and privacy and a peek-a-boo view of the river too. My only critique - there was a mechanical issue with the on demand hot water tank and it was very loud when it ran. It is shared with the unit below and it's location in the primary bedroom closet is not ideal, especially if you are a light sleeper. Stuff happens! Allison was very responsive to our messages and we would stay at the property again.

We loved our rooms in this old Victorian house. The setting is gorgeous, and there was everything we needed for our stay. You will need your own personal soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, but all kitchen essentials are supplied, including salt and pepper, ziplock bags, sugar, etc. The laundry facilities are located in the house steps across the parking area and are coin operated. (The washer on the left is a little touchy, and the door must be closed completely before it will start.Tina, the onsite manager, was extremely helpful when I had problems.) The bed was cozy, and the apartment was a great place to come home to after treks across Vermont during the day. There are only two drawbacks which made me give a four rating instead of five. The first was not a problem for us but would be for someone with mobility issues. The stairway leading to the second floor apartment are very steep and narrow. There is a handrail, but I would not recommend them for anyone with back, hip, or knee problems. The second, more bothering problem for us, is that the water heater, an on-demand heater that only comes on when the hot water faucet is activicated, is located in the bedroom closet. Each time the visitors in the downstairs rooms turned on the water, the heater in the closet made loud noises, which can be annoying especially very early in the morning and late at night. Even so, we would gladly stay in this warm, cozy apartment again.

This is my second time here. Location was close to various attractions - yummy apple cider donuts and local farm fresh ice cream. It was close to lots of places for tourists and locals. Thank you Allison for prompt responses!

Fabulous little apartment in Vermont! Short drive to anything you want. Nicely decorated. Great space. Cozy and functional. Loved sitting on the balcony enjoying our morning coffee. Allison was wonderful and completely understanding when we had to vacate early for an elderly parent's care. Just the nicest place.

Peaceful and clean
The property was so clean and peaceful. It was prettier than the pictures online. It is so close to New Hampshire and Vermont is such a beautiful state. It was comfortable and one of the cleanest places we have ever booked. We really enjoyed our stay.

Tina, the on-site manager, was very pleasant to deal with and made sure everything was good with the apartment!! We were only a few miles from the beautiful Kancamagus Highway and many other amazing sights!! This apartment was in a perfect location for us!

We were there from Oct. 3rd thru Oct. 9th. This really cute, very clean apartment was in an ideal location for seeing the beautiful fall foliage!! Allison sent accurate directions to find this quiet place that sits off the beaten path, yet across the bridge that sits at the end of the road on the bottom of the hill, is a small town with everything you need!! Tina, the on-site manager, was very pleasant to deal with and made sure everything was good with the apartment!! This is a great little apartment, located in a very convenient and beautiful location. Check in was very easy and the apartment is very well equipped.
A few things notable things during our stay for other guests: we stayed in unit 11b.
- the water heater for the unit and other units is located in the master bedroom. this means that whenever someone turns on hot water, the water heater will roar to life and disrupt your sleep.
- another sleep disrupter during our stay were the 2 fire alarms in the bedrooms that went off at 3am due to low battery. this startled us so that it caused my elderly mother to fall out of bed and injure herself. we managed to call the local contact who was very helpful and advised us about removing the batteries. so, for other guests staying there, 1) when in need, call the local emergency # 2) ask when the fire alarm batteries were last replaced

Wonderful place!
Loved this apartment. It is warm, quiet, clean, comfortable, convenient. Cute kitchen and living room, cozy bedrooms, and nice bathroom with shower. We will most definitely be back!
