Furnished in traditional alpine style and well equipped, the 53m2 apartment boasts 2 en-suite bedrooms, one with twin beds (2m long), a bath and WC and the other with a king size bed (also 2m long) with a shower and separate WC. The living space and both bedrooms each have large windows to take advantage of the afternoon sun. A private balcony allows al-fresco dining later in the ski season and in the summer. Entertainment facilities include satellite TV and free wi-fi. Fully serviced with towels and linen provided, with an option to have a mid-week clean and / or change of towels and linen (at additional cost, supplied on request). Arc1950 was originally developed by the Canadian specialist, Intrawest (who also created the Whistler and Mont Tremblant resorts) between 2003 and 2007 in order to provide, for the first time, a high standard of self-catered accommodation in the French Alps. The traditional architecture of Arc 1950 is striking with a clear move away from the style of earlier developments. All the facilities of the village are right on your doorstep. Shops, bars and restaurants are all located on the village street level as are ski hire, ski school and lift pass office. There is also direct access into the residence from the underground secure car parking (payable locally). The Arc 1950 village itself is strictly car-free.
With the addition of the high speed “Vanoise Express” lift in late 2003, the resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne are now linked to form the “Paradiski” domaine with over 450 km of pistes and many off-piste opportunities. It is possible to ski all the way to Champagny for lunch and back again before the lifts close. Truly a “ski-in, ski-out” location, access to the pistes from the apartment really couldn’t be easier - you can ski virtually from and right back to the locker room door. The apartment has 2 ski lockers and the changing room is heated.
The village is divided into 8 residences. Hameau du Glacier has 24 hour reception (ski season only), a fully equipped gym, sauna, steam room and free laundry facilities. A particular feature is a heated internal walkway to the adjacent Prince des Cîmes residence where there is free access to a large heated indoor / outdoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Hameau du Glacier itself has smaller outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi, also free and open in the ski season. At the other end of the village but still only a couple of minutes’ walk away is the 1,000m2 Deep Nature Spa complex (payable locally) located in the Sources de Marie residence.
Accessibility is another key advantage of Les Arcs 1950. During the ski season, there are direct Eurostar services from London St Pancras to Bourg Saint Maurice twice a week; one daytime, the other overnight. There are also indirect rail services with changes in Paris or Lille. From Bourg Saint Maurice rail station, there is a funicular railway to Arc 1600 with a free coach connection from there to Arc 1950. Frequent flights from a variety of operators are available to Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambéry with car hire, bus, rail or taxi connections from the airports.
As for summer in Les Arcs; there are many activities on offer in the area, including mountain biking, white water rafting and hydrospeed (from Bourg St Maurice), golf, tennis, swimming, hiking, archery, glacier skiing, guided trekking, rock climbing and canoeing. Several ski lifts operate in the summer to give access to many kilometres of tracks and spectacular scenery whether on foot or with a mountain bike.

Really nice well kept apartment; very well equipped and plenty of storage space. It was lovely sitting out on the balcony over-looking the slopes. Alan was very helpful and replied to queries promptly. We would definitely stay in the apartment again!

This is our second time staying in Les Arcs, the apartment this time seemed more spacious. Communication with Alan, was so easy and he was incredibly helpful.
There is no oven, but it wasn’t a problem at all, easy to cook pasta on the hob or order a takeaway pizza!
The ski in/ski out aspect makes the whole stay so luxurious, no lugging skis etc around or getting onto buses.
The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed.
I’d highly recommend staying here, we had a wonderful week.
Thank you Alan!

Our stay was fabulous.

1950 has great access to the whole resort. The apartment is well located with practically placed ski lockers and benches, and good ski in ski out. The apartment itself is more spacious than it looks in the photos. Kitchen is compact but has everything you need (unless you want an oven). Plenty of places to eat out. Living room has a good comfy sofa (just what is Brits like). We were 3 adults so plenty of room. Would be a bit tighter but OK with 4 adults and lots of kit.

We stayed for Christmas and had a lovely holiday. The property is exactly as shown in the photos and is clean, warm and homely. Great view across the Marmottes slope to the mountains beyond. Easy access to heated boot room and ski out/in into the village. Equipment hire, ski school, ski pass office, restaurants and shops all on the doorstep. This was our fifth ski trip and by far the best accommodation and resort. The owner was great at communicating as well. Thank you!

We stayed over Christmas. The apt is very well kitted out. Beds are comfy and place was spotlessly clean. It is literally steps to everything we needed, slopes, ski rental, bars and restaurants. Les Arcs 1950 is very pretty resort and we enjoyed viewing the skiers and mountain views. Having 2 bathrooms was great for our family. Alan was a great host and provided all relevant info. Just to note the oven is a microwave oven which may hinder those who wish to do more cooking. I'd highly recommend this place and hope to return.

Our first time in Arc 1950, and the first time we've taken our kids skiing, and have to say that both the resort and apartment were fantastic - we couldn't have wished for more. The apartment is in a lovely building with open-fire in reception, and has great views overlooking the piste. The apartment is well equipped with the two bathrooms a real bonus with the kids. The lockers in the boot room, with ski in.ski out access, made everything so easy. The kids loved using the pool in the afternoon as a break from the slopes. And a great, comprehensive set of information provided by Alan, who couldn't have been more helpful with our pre-trip queries. We will definitely return, the perfect apartment in the perfect location.

Very nice flat, very well located in a nice building in the upper part of the resort. Very well equipped (tv, wifi, kitchen appliances…) and comfortable. Easy check-in/check-out procedure and easy to reach and efficient concierge service. We spent a very nice week there with the family.

This was my third time at this great apartment with family. The location is superb, overlooking the slopes with wonderful views. Ski in/ski out from a large locker room. The accommodation is more spacious than most you will find on the mountains, well stocked and furnished, comfy beds, two large bathrooms. I went for two weeks and as before didn't want to leave. The restaurants are only a few steps away and the owner and managers of the apartment couldn't be more helpful. Great skiing on the doorstep for all levels of skiers. I have been to many ski resorts over many years and this is by far the best I have stayed in. Everything is spot on right down to the little touches - towels, bedding, welcome pack, and so much more. Brilliant as always.

Highly recommended! I've stayed in similar places but what sets this rental apart is the fantastic service from the owners who couldn't be more friendly and accomodating. The property itself is ideally located, extremely clean, comfortable and very well equipped. A genuinely well deserved 5 star rating. We will definitely be returning. Nev (London)

Great host, wonderful apartment in perfect location. Very spacious. Ski in and out, sizeable ski and boot lockers. Easy parking. Easy to find. Close to everything, from shops to restaurants and bars. Stayed here on numerous occasions and having skied for many years, this is bar far the best and biggest apartment I’ve stayed in. Can’t fault it any way. .The pool and sauna etc are easily accessible. Reception staff extremely helpful. All topped off by the provision of towels & bedding.

This is honestly one of the best apartments I have ever stayed in when skiing, and really large compared to to your standard apartments. The layout is great with a bedroom, bathroom, and toilet on each side of the apartment, I have never seen the like of it. My daughter loved it, and made the evenings so much better as it’s so homely and somewhere you want to relax in and enjoy.
Rented the apartment as wanted to go to 1950 but know many of the apartments are now tired and old and wanted a privately owned one. Have to say it was immaculate and in great condition.
I stupidly locked my passport in the safe and lost the code (read the instructions in the folder first as it works in an unusual way). I did find the private property agents to be poor in getting back to me and taking it seriously (may just have been my experience and a one off) and got more worried as the week went on, but the owner was absolutely fantastic and sorted it out really quickly.
Absolutely amazing apartment and holiday. Have never written a review but felt compelled to.

We are a family of four- my husband ,myself and our two adult children. This is our third visit to Arc 1950 and so say no more!! We love everything about the village and the skiing here .It has to be the perfect resort with genuine ski in ski out facilities right from the door. There is varied skiing for all abilities and the snow is so good at this altitude. The village has everything needed for a great holiday and all conveniently set out around the colourful square. There is a very welcoming feel to the village and we found everyone to be extremely helpful and friendly.
We would highly recommend this apartment. It is spacious and light and very well presented with everything you need for your stay here. There are lovely views of the piste from the lounge and bedrooms. We loved having the convenience of two bathrooms for the family.
Every day after skiing, we used the facilities of our building, Hameau du Glacier and the facilities of the Prince des Cimes next door (conveniently linked with a heated walkway) We loved the indoor outdoor pool, sauna and steam room after a day on the slopes-always most relaxing! There is a good selection of restaurants and bars in the village and we loved the take away pizzas, tartiflette, lasagne etc.,
Most of all, Alan the owner, has been extremely helpful and informative throughout the booking process. He sent us detailed, useful information about the apartment and the facilities available in Hameau Du Glacier and Arc 1950. Alan was keen to answer any questions promptly to ensure we had the very best holiday. We would highly recommend this apartment and would love to return. Many thanks.

We enjoyed a great weeks skiing at Arc 1950 in this lovely sunny apartment, which looks over the slopes. Arc 1950 is well placed to enjoy great skiing and there are lots of good restaurants In the Paradiski area. We'll be back.
