Carlos, the owner, was everything you would like a host to be. He pays attention to all the details to make you feel at home.
He greets you at the entrance of the facility, offers you some coca tea for free whenever you want, he even has a rack full of goodies for you to pick (soroche pills and other things).
The rooms were lovely, really clean and tidy. The hot water works everytime.
The hotel is in a very good location, near to Plaza de San Blas, which is one of Cusco's most attractive zones.
As the name of the hotel says, it has a lovely balcony with outstanding views of the city. Would recommend to go at night time.
Lovely place to stay, and the value is amazing.

Very kind host!

Carlos was extremely hospitable and friendly. He made sure to check in on us during our stay, answered any and all of our questions, and gave valuable advice for getting around Cuzco/what to explore. We spent our first few nights in Cuzco here and certainly felt welcomed. The room was comfortable and clean with access to a kitchen if necessary. The balcony view was absolutely breathtaking too.
The reviews are not wrong-- it is definitely a climb to get here but I promise it is so worth it. Not the most accessible location if you are looking to stay close to the plaza, but it is definitely a pleasant stay if you are willing to take the hike. And hey, if you are planning to take the Salkantay Trek or Inca Trail, you'll get some training in on your way up to Casa Mirador!

Carlos was extremely communicative and friendly. Decent room, beautiful view from the terrace. I would definitely stay here again!

Really lovely hostel. Incredible views over the city, lovely rooms - one of the nicest we'd had in 6 weeks. Carlos, the host was super helpful recommending places to eat, visit and helping me to get a new SIM card too.
We liked everything. The only comment I'd have is it would be great to have breakfast included for the price and the floors with the views have so much potential for socialising. Breakfast could help make that happen. Other than that, a great spot.
4.6
we have not opted for breakfast
as said by all, location is something difficult to access with the altitude but the views are really good.
4.6
the owner was super friendly and explained everything in great detail
the room and especially the bathroom was tiny, with water running only on low pressure

Best view in Cusco from the bedroom balcony or the terrace. Carlos is a superb host, he helped us organise a taxi to bus station and even helped us carry bags up the steps to the road. Very helpful and friendly, offered useful tips and advice when we were struggling with the altitude too. Also having tea and coffee in the bedroom and a TV with Netflix was a real bonus. Best place we have stayed in South America.

the staff is amazing
location is great for the view but not great if you don’t like to climb stairs (especially with the altitude)

Carlos was incredibly helpful and friendly, he went above and beyond to help us arrange transfers etc. The room was a good size with warm beds, and the views from the balcony/terrace were spectacular. There was a nice kitchen with facilities to cook if you wanted to, you could buy bottled drinks and there was coca tea in the rooms. Excellent value for money!
It’s a very steep climb up, so plan your day carefully to avoid having to do it too often! The showers were a little weak and difficult to get hot
4.6
the staff was very nice and the view amazing
noisy especially during the evening and difficult to reach with luggages

The balcony was the highlight, and the water, when we had it, was hot. No fault of the owner, we had no water at all, Carlos was forced to push all his reservations to other hotels. He kept us informed the whole time. The bed was extremely comfortable.
While there was shared kitchen, it was dirty and ill-equipped. The coffee maker had broken and not been replaced. The room itself was very clean but the public areas were not. The furniture in the room was low quality and the rug was the type you buy by the foot. In a land of rich, inexpensive textiles, it would take very little to make it pretty, plus cleaning is free.

The room was nice, and the view was amazing. Carlos is a great host, he was always reachable and he tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
The hostel is high up; you need to go up a lot of stairs.

We had an amazing experience here! The rooms.were nice (the televisions even had Netflix!) and what a view of Cusco! But the best thing about this hostal was the great host Carlos! He was extremely friendly and helped us with everything!

Breakfast was good, staff was nice
- there were stains on the bed sheet
- no shelf area in the bath

The owner is VERY accommodating and helpful. I was able to check in very early, do laundry, and store my extra luggage while trekking. Lots of blankets, so even though it’s cold at night, I slept warm.
Water temperature was inconsistent.

It was clean. beautiful view. Awesome staff.
The location is literally a hike.

amazing views and super helpful staff
wish the shower was just a little bit warmer!

Amazing view, worth the stairs you need to climb to get there. The owner was very nice and gave us useful info to get around Cusco
4.6
The views here are great! Carlos, our host was very welcoming and comunicative. He helped arrange transportation for us which made our stay even easier. The location is also great as it's out of the busy tourist area but still a short walk away from everything.
4.6
Owner was fantastic guy, unbeatable views from room and terrace. very clean too
Not much. but its quite a bit of a hike up from main square
4.6
One of my best experiences when it comes to communication and customer service. Carlos is a very kind and helpful host! I stayed there for 6 nights, so the steep stairs got a bit tiring after a while. On the other hand it was a good altitude training! ;)
4.6
The view from the property is amazing and totally worth going little bit uphill. There is a kitchen and washing machine (free of charge!). The bed is very comfortable and the intenet fast. Carlos is great host, ready to help with anything and he speaks english. He even let us to do check-in as early as 6am when we arrived by the night bus from Puno. Thanks!

The host was the most helpful one we ever had. He helped multiple times and even did phone calls for us and printed documents.
The hotel has an amazing view on the whole city. It is definitely worth a bit of exercise.
4.6
The view overlooking Cusco was beyond me expectations. Plaza de Armas was a short walk. I felt very safe in the neighborhood.
All the vendors about Plaza de Armas were overly pushing and relentless but that's the nature of Cusco.
4.6
The service of Carlos, he picked us up after a long trekking and made sure everything was oke. Cleaned our room in stay and be in contact. Will organise a ride to the airport for us. You’re a legend Carlos!
We had a little problem with the water in bathroom, but wasn’t that big and trying to fix it all the time.
4.6
The view is simply amazing. You are in a room with panoramic view on whole City. You have access to free tea and kitchen which is nice. Also there is a pizza delivery available to door which was nice on one evening. And The best of all our host. He is simply amazing. The contact with him was great and he was so helpful we couldn't imagine anyone better. He printed our boarding passes, arrange taxi in very good price to the airport, helped us with medicine when we got sick, gave excellent food reccomendation... And much more....we loved our stay there.
There are indeed many stairs which above 3000 meters are hard to manage. We just were too lazy and went to city every time only once and in evening were spending time on our tarrace. There is hot water but very hard to manage, once is boiling and once little cold, but we have mananged to take a shower anyway 😉
4.6
The view from the balcony very special. Carlos was great help. Organized a nurse to come and give me a PCR test for United States entry at a great price
Be ready for the stairs but the haven at the end is well worth it

Nice views. Thick blankets. Friendly staff.
Hard to find. Very noisy. Shower wasn’t very warm.
