About this house rental

Traditional duplex villa, just 100 steps from the sea, in the heart of the city, in the old town.
Ground floor in open space, with living room, kitchen and bathroom. With internet available, WiFi, (Free).
The first floor has a small hall with a table / desk with hinged chair. Large bathroom with shower tray. The bedroom with double bed has a large wardrobe and window with mosquito net, electric shutter. The hall has a velvet window with electric control, which allows ventilation and is equipped with a blackout curtain.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, induction hob, microwave, washing machine and dryer, fridge, toaster and 100 L water heater. Nespresso capsule espresso machine. Modern and quiet air conditioning unit. It was built again based on an old structure of old walls.
It is located 100 m from the garden by the Ria Formosa where boats for the islands and boat tours are taken.
A 5-star hotel is located about 300 m to the west where you can enjoy spa and gym, heated outdoor pool, as well as all the services associated with a unit of this type namely gastronomy and entertainment. Sleeps two adults. NO PETS ALLOWED.

First off, my host/manager was fantastic. Whenever we needed assistance, she was there no matter the time. She gave us recommendations for restaurants. grocery stores and sightseeing. I had an issue with the neighborhood. It was old and dirty. Several times I had to clean dog feces off of my shoes. Parking was always an adventure I usually had to park 3 or more blocks away. This made carrying groceries to the apartment difficult. But again, I truly enjoyed my stay and Marta (the manager) was wonderful.

Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Markt von Olhao. Der hat sehr viel zu bieten und da die Wohnung auch sehr gut mit Küchenutensilien (und allem was man sonst braucht) ausgestattet ist, kann man die feinen Lebensmittel auch gut zubereiten. Martha ist eine zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Für Menschen mit eingeschränkter Beweglichkeit ist die Wohnung nur bedingt zu empfehlen, da es auf dem Weg zum Schlafraum im ersten Stock eine enge Wendeltreppe zu passieren gilt. Zum Sonnen gehen Sie an die Strandpromenade oder auf die Inseln. Für uns hat alles gut gepasst.

This tiny apartment is very cosy with fully equipment. Quiet and peacefull in the old town with Portugees neighbours. Close to the markethall and ferrys. We have had a wonderfull time, although we missed the sun a bit inside. Marijke.

Eine kleine und schöne Wohnung unweit der Markthallen in Olhao. Beinhaltet alles was man braucht um eine gute Zeit dort zu verbringen! Fußläufig ist alles (Supermärkte, Fähranleger, Markthallen, Restaurants) in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Die Organisation des Aufenthalts inkl. Abreise war sehr unkompliziert und flexibel! Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter "Gastgeber"! Mein Partner und ich würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort einen Urlaub verbringen und die Unterkunft definitiv weiter empfehlen!

Huis is perfect voor 2 personen. Mooie schoon moderne inrichting en alle apparatuur werkte perfect. Je stapt buiten en je staat midden in een bruisend vissers stadje met zijn prachtige markthallen. De eigenaar was vriendelijk en deed er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken. We komen zeker nog een keertje terug.

Petite maison pour 2 personnes refaite à neuf et conforme aux photos, peut-être mettre une photo de l'escalier. Située comme indiquée sur l'annonce, prés des marchés et de la marina. La maison était très propre. Dans la cuisine, il faudrait un peu plus de verres. Le propriétaire est un homme très agréable, qui nous a indiqué le fonctionnement des appareils (wifi, velux électrique etc..), il nous a laissé son numéro de portable au cas ou nous aurions besoin de lui. Les tapas au bout de la ruelle à droite sont excellentes. Je recommanderais cette maison à un couple d'ami.

The description of the property was as listed and so much more. The apartment was spotless and pristine and perfect for two people. We were able to walk to anywhere in town easily and especially loved being very close to the waterfront, fish market, and farmers market. The variety and quality of the fresh food available was delightful and the kitchen adequately finished with the tools to prepare our meals. The easy access to the train station was a huge bonus and allowed us to explore the Algarve from end to end. It was only a 12 minute or so walk once we learned our way. Tomas was extremely helpful and proved information on local attractions, maps, and restaurants. His English is excellent. The tapas bar around the corner was is not to be missed, Tapas e Lendas, and the waiter assured us that the food was so delicious because it was made with love and we believe it! We would highly recommend this property to anyone desiring to travel like a local with all the amenities of home, we would definitely return to this Homeaway listing.

Small but cozy, very clean

Owner is very friendly. Good emailcontact and phonecontact, in English. Thomas picked us up on the outskirts of town the evening we arrived. He gave us a small tour in the apartment. The description on the site is accurate: it's a small but cozy house. It has 2 floors and a spiral stairway, it took some effort to get the luggage to the bedroom, but Thomas helped us. The apartment is in a quiet alley, just behind the "boulevard" with all the restaurants. There were 2 tapas restaurants around the corner. The ferry and Pingo Doce supermarket are about 8 minutes walking and the trainstation about 15 minutes walking. Pro's of the apartment: comfortable bed and shower, tv in bedroom, internet, 2 toilets, coatrack, dishwash liquid+brush, handsoap, plenty of towels, enough cutlery and pots/pans. The only negative points: there is no balcony/terrace and it can get a bit chilly in the morning/evening and somethimes a bit moist on the topfloor. The apartment is fillend with chairs and tables, but you can stowe them away to get more space. We rented bikes at EastAlgarve Bikerental. Mike (english) brought them to the apartment. The bikes were ok and the service was great. Cycling to Faro was hell, you have to follow the N125 for a long time. To Fuzeta it was ok, you have to find the Ecovia cycleroute, that was splendid! From Fuzeta to Tavira was very nice. We did a boattrip to Farol and walked to Culatra and took the ferry back from there. The National Park, a few km away, is very nice to explore by foot or bike. We used the train once, you can buy tickets on board and bring your bike for free.
