Stay was easy. Good communication from host. Off-street parking. Lower level of house. Stairs down to get in, but easy enough.

The property is an old house in a university neighborhood with one upper and one lower unit. We stayed in the lower. The inside has been updated fairly well and was clean with comfortable beds. The only exception was the range which had rusted drip pans and the oven was dirty. I arrived alone at 9PM and there was no light on in the stairwell down to the front door. The steps were steep, there is no handrail, and it was dirty. I had to maneuver my bags down this dark hole then had to find my phone light to see the code pad on the door. It was dangerous and scary. Then I discovered there was no internet connectivity for my devices or the TV. I reported these issues right away but did not receive a call back until 12 hours later. The maintenance man, Harold, was very nice and replaced the outside light (it was broken) and reset the router which was in the upstairs unit. Two nights later the upper unit was rented by college age people who had a very loud party until 3AM. Calls to the management were useless and we finally resorted to calling local police who resolved the problem. Randy called at 10 AM stating he was on call overnight but had a cold and had taken medication so didn't know the answering service had tried to reach him. I asked him if we would be compensated for all of these problems and he said no. If this description sounds like your kind of place then rent it. I will never stay at any Mountain Time Vacation Rental properties again.

Visiting our daughter at UNC, this was a perfect walking location for the homecoming festivities. Most things were just great, and the few minor issues were acknowledged by the rental company. All and all a good experience!

Enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately we had trouble with flies. House very clean and comfortable. Bathroom small.
Staff very kind and helpful.

Comfortable bed!
Basically only used it to sleep in and have breakfast. Very comfortable for 3 adults and an infant. Relatively no noise from the upstairs, only occasional footsteps.

This is listed as a bungalow read carefully it’s a basement apartment
My friends and I decided to stay at this location. The address is not given to you until day of your stay along with key code. I was given the address and gave the address and access to my friend. When he arrived alone there was a family inside the house at that address. This property is listed as a bungalow. Definition by Webster a one story house with a low-pitched roof also a house one and a half stories and usually a front porch. This is a basement apartment and they should list it as such. The basement entrance is not marked clearly nor was it explicit on the email so my guest believed he showed up to a rental that was already rented. after paying an extra guest fee, my guest ended ended up on the curb waiting for me to get into town and clarify that there was another entrance. He is also almost 7ft tall and almost hit his head all over on very low ceilings. There were a lot of bugs inside a caterpillar, silver fish, an earwig and spiders all not invited. I have videos of all of them if anyone wants to see. I believe the ad references cruiser bikes there were no bikes. No blackout shades either just white blinds and some were broken. The ac unit sounded like a jet engine in the living room. Though probably no surprise cause there were complimentary earplugs next to the bed. I don’t like being deceived by false advertising. When I’m on vacation with my family friends and dog I’m not going to try to find another place last minute. I really feel we got put in between a rock and a hard place on this one and the rock won. You can have my money but this reviews on me enjoy.

Seeing family after 19 months
Initially there were a few things to be taken care of. Stacy was on top of it and resolved them quickly. One nice day outside gave us opportunity to have a picnic outdoors grilling dogs, making smores, playing horseshoes and enjoying family and grandchildren.

Highly recommend
We were very happy on arrival to see a very cute little house. Basement apt was perfect for what we needed and was very welcoming. We arrived at night and the porch light down the stairs was hard to see but we did see it not being familiar with the house. We were very happy to have designated parking and also access to laundry should we need it. And this was a perfect location to get to UNC and close by great coffee shops.

Basement Bungalow
My spouse and I stayed here for 2 weeks during the pandemic. School was out so the area was much more deserted than normal. This home is across from student housing and a few blocks from the university. Also a close drive or bike to several tasty places for takeout. Check-in was easy. We met the upstairs Vrbo renters the night we checked in, who had 4 ppl and 3 dogs. They told us they were there for a month. The first day we had an issue with ants and the management company was very quick to send over pest control on the same day. They were very responsive. There was a city wide power outage and they were also responsive (however not much could be done). Overall the property was suitable. Bed was comfortable and there was room for pets. Updated furniture, fixtures and decor. Fast internet (great since we were telecommuting). Main issue was the upstairs renters. Be aware that if you rent the basement, there is a good chance there will be vrbo renters upstairs. These renters (not the management) made our particular stay less than desirable. Dog stampedes and a 7 year old crying could be heard perfectly from downstairs during work hours (and after hours). We never used the backyard because their 3 ill mannered dogs didn’t like our sweet well behaved 10 year old dog. They made it clear they were the only ones who would use the backyard. We never used the washer/dryer either as it’s upstairs and accessed from the backyard. Wasn’t going to risk that connecting door being open and being potentially attacked by a dog. As I borrowed a bike from the back shed, their dogs jumped all over me, pushing me to the ground. The first weekend there were 3 barking and howling dogs upstairs, so loud we couldn’t watch tv or hardly think. I called the management and they didn’t answer. I called vrbo but nothing was done. They said I could spend my own money to find a new place and maybe I’d get reimbursed. I was never contacted back from the management company about the dogs howling and barking upstairs. We actually left and camped in a friend’s backyard an hour away because between the noise and hostility of the upstairs people we couldn’t take it. They did leave 2 days before we did, and everything was great. Moral of the story: this would be good for a few nights, but if you’re planning a long term stay, keep in mind it’s a crapshoot on who is upstairs. Would have loved to use the backyard and washing machine- no fault of mgmt company, just jerky upstairs guests.

Cozy apartment near UNC
Cozy basement apartment. Old home, but nicely furnished. A/C worked great in summer. It was nice that one bedroom has enough room for a king size bed, and the other bedroom has a queen bed. It was comfortable for 3 adults, and location close to UNC was great. As other reviews have noted, being downstairs below other renters is a bit of a downside, but for us the noise factor wasn't bad. Off-street parking, backyard, BBQ, firepit and bikes provided some pleasant outdoor options. We may stay again, but probably for short stays.

Greeley stay
Pros and cons....the steps were hard for me. Didn't realize it was quite like that. You really need to spray for bugs. Too many scary looking ones. Upstairs folks were loud. Nice bed, bath, and kitchen area. Living room was nice. Parking was tricky with a big truck in both spots

Great location and Clean
Nice furniture and a great shower.
Accommodations are in a basement with outside entrance.
If you are tall, a couple of the door ways might get your attention.
Parking is not reserved, but plentiful.

WONDERFUL
The stay was absolutely perfect. It had the perfect amount of room for the people that we brought. The backyard was fantastic, we used the firepit everynight we were there. I had an amazing time and will try to stay here again if in town.
