Quiet Lakeside log cabin with teaching\/studio space available for retreats.
About this cabin rental
This classic northwoods log cabin is perfect for quiet honeymoons, family vacations, girls weekends, or hunting/fishing/snowmobiling getaways. Nestled on 6 wooded acres overlooking beautiful Connors Lake, Minnesota Kind Lodge offers a rare peace that you won’t find on the busier lakes, while still providing world class fishing & wildlife spotting. Connors lake is a private lake with no public access. You often have the entire lake to yourself -with the exception of resident loons and herons. We have a fishing boat, a paddle boat, a double kayak, and multiple paddle boards available, but the most popular spot on the lake is the shallows in front of the dock just 100 level feet from the cabin door. Many great meals have been caught dropping a line off of the dock. The cabin has all of the amenities you need to sleep 10-13 comfortably, with a giant sleeping loft and pull out couch available, but the space is intimate enough to use as a private romantic escape for couples and honeymooners. A wood fireplace keeps the great room cozy on winter nights, and the also offers central heating and central air conditioning to keep the everyone comfortable year round. A fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs sits in a clearing just off of the water and a grill is on hand for cooking outside. Inside there is everything you need to cook 4 star meals- a gas stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker etc. We provide stainless steel pots and pans and all the cooking tools and serving dishes you need. The thick pine tables were designed and built especially for the space. Downstairs there is a bar, and ice maker for entertaining. Host your holiday get together at Minnesota Kind Lodge and leave your stress at home. Have you ever wanted to host a retreat? Walk a short level path through the woods to a second space that is also available to rent. This studio space is perfect for teaching classes (tables and chairs available upon request) writing retreats, church retreats, yoga, dance, art classes etc. The studio space has central air and heat, and beautiful views of the surrounding birch, pine, and tamarack woods.

A wonderful winter get away. The cabin was cozy and had many thoughtful touches and decor. It felt remote and we enjoyed walking in the surrounding area. The cabin had everything we needed. We will happily return.

The cabin was wonderful in oh so many ways. The entire property was way more than we ever imagined. The remote lake gave us such a sense of solitude. A very relaxing getaway for all of us, (ages 7-70). The pictures don't do the property justice, it is absolutely beautiful up there. A wonderful memory for all of us.

This was a very nice and spacious cabin in Northern Minnesota. It is on a secluded lake that was great for fishing. We even pulled bass and northern off the dock. It fit 10 adults comfortably and there was plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Quiet remote lake, great getaway! Caught many pan fish right off the dock. May want to bring your own fillet knife.
Sandra was easy to communicate with. Thanks for your hospitality!

Enjoyed our stay at a private log cabin in northern MN. The lake is very quiet, had fun fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Our dog loved swimming and had room to run. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. Thanks for letting us enjoy your cabin!

We love it at the cozy rustic log cabin. Feels like home away from home. It had everything we needed and more. Fishing on the dock was also great. Host was kind and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend it and would definitely be back in the future.

This was exactly what we were looking for: a cabin-style property, away from civilization but still a 10 minute drive from any necessities. The entire family stayed over New Year’s and Mom took the phones away [bwa haw haw] so we could enjoy our time without electronics.
The cabin was VERY spacious (could easily allow for 15 people, if needed) and was extremely clean. There is a TV if you want, but we enjoyed some of the many different games & books that were furnished all over the cabin.
Plenty of space, two bathrooms, and everything you need in the kitchen. We will definitely be back in the winter months but we are so looking forward to seeing this place in the summer or fall!

Spent a couple days at this cozy log cabin with our teenage boys. They had a blast sledding and playing outdoors. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor fires and appreciated that they had plenty of wood. The house was well stocked. The internet and cell reception was great. Thanks for the hospitality.

The log cabin was the perfect getaway for our friends and family. Secluded location right on a quiet, private lake. The weather didn't cooperate however we were able to explore Grand Rapids and Hibbing. The only comments we had for the property would be the loft is a very nice space however it does not have a door, did not affect our visit just something to note. The last comment we had was the cabin was great overall however for some reason the water had a noticeable smell to it, the filtered water at the sink was great. All and all this was a great place to relax and unplug for the weekend. Would recommend to others!

This was our second time at the cabin and it was even more magical than the first time! We fished (bass and sunnies), kayaked every day, swam out on the paddle boards, sunned, had fires, golfed, hiked, RESTED. The ambience that Sandra has created at the cabin is so welcoming and comfortable. You really get the feeling that it is a happy home and continues to be an amazing haven for all the guests. Don't hesitate to book this cabin! In three weeks, we only saw two other people twice on the lake. It's like you have it all to yourselves. A really wonderful place on the edge of the wilderness! Thank you, Sandra!

This was our second stay at this property. We love that they have paddle boards, a kayak, and a paddle boat for guests to use. Other things that make this a must-stay is that it is on a quiet private lake and they allow dogs. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. The host is very responsive and helpful.

Paradise at Connor's Lake
Super host Sandra, the lake itself, and the fabulous log cabin created an unbeatable atmosphere of tranquility and a haven for the weary 21st century traveler. The lake is private. We only saw someone in a kayak from a distance on the 12th day of our 14 day vacation. We paddle boarded, kayaked, and fished. To be noted from previous reviews, the oarlock is fixed on the rowboat and we spent many mornings and evening fishing for bass, sunfish, and bluegills. The cabin was a dream with a fantastic loft. The sunrises are unbeatable. I can't say enough about this place and we immediately booked it for next summer on the way home from the cabin! The owner, Sandra, was fantastic to work with. No amount of questions fazed her or tried her patience. She responded immediately to our questions. All in all, it was a dream vacation for us!

This is a beautiful cabin with everything you need. Decor was spot on, cozy and full of charm.
The lake is small, our only disappointment was that the boat and oars was not operational. There is a two person paddle boat, kayak and paddle boards.
This would be a perfect spot for a girls weekend or a bigger family gathering. We would love to return!

Check in was easy and communication with Sandra no complaints. Disappointed with a few things. Water too weedy around the dock area. Unable to swim or use floating devices. Many Lilly pads on one whole side. Unable to use fishing boat. Only able to use one paddle because holder broken and also tabs on boat 2020 so expired. Paddleboat nice. No firewood available as stated in amenities. Told to buy our own after we were already there. Refrigerator wouldn't shut unless you lifted the front corner with your foot. Loft and bedding areas nice. Bring your own water bottles. Overall we had a great time. We found swimming areas at the state parks.

A lovely cabin on a secluded Connors Lake. Plenty of watercraft for getting out on the lake. The row boat didn't have oars or proper mounts but we used other paddles to get around. Wished there were more paddleboard paddles for the 3 SUP; there was only one. Lake has lots of crappies, sunfish & northerns. There are chairs for sitting around the fire at night or lounging in the shade or on the dock. We got more wood in Effie.
Loft slept most of our party/family. There's a large master in the main floor & one alcove by front door. Additional bed & space downstairs. Along with the second bathroom.
The living room flows into the dining area & there's a large window to view the lake.
Big Fork has large grocery store for anything you might have forgotten. Plus an outdoor museum about the areas history.
Scenic State Park is about a 15 minute drive away. Good for day trips & hiking.
Overall it's a beautiful log cabin with a rustic feel. It was clean & well stocked with towels & bed linen. We only saw one other canoe on the lake during our stay. Quiet & peaceful place to stay.

We loved the small, private lake and the paddleboards. We played golf and disc golf in Bigfork, and visited Scenic State Park. The nearby grocery store and restaurants had everything we wanted. The wifi, laundry, and appliances worked perfectly. The kitchen REALLY needs sharp knives, though. If you plan to stay here, bring your own knives!
