I liked the old fashioned way of thinking and simpleness..the old and safe Spain..and for a Hostal it is very clean and smells good, you have everything you need there. The shower was excellent and the sea was near. Lots of parking. It is away from the central town which I prefered and wonderful nature in the surroundings. The workers were very attentive and hard workers to make your stay pleasant.
it could be a little old fashioned and isolated for some people but if you want privacy and nature it is good!

The hostal was conveniently located next to the sports complex for the Pickleball tournament. Great value for the money!

I was able to book the room at last minute with great price.
The room did not have fridge or microwave.

The hotel is located at outskirts of the Rota, so you are quite away from the busy places like bars, restaurants and etc. and as such I find it as a great place to disconnect and relax. You will be literally next to a gorgeous pine forest with an awesome beach. The rooms are very nice and cleaned every day. If you are solo traveller it could be a real challenge to get a table at the restaurants nearby, since they are very busy especially lunch/dinner times. However, I managed to try the food at the restaurant provided by the hotel and it was good - typical Spanish dishes with some burgers and pizzas in addition. The staff is doing a great job. Take cash with you - the restaurant accepts card payment only if they are above 10 Euros. In a nutshell - I love this place and I could see myself coming back again and again.
I believe that I was given a budget single room, considering that I paid for a regular single room instead and they come with a terrace, which is something I didn't have in the current room. I want to believe that was unintentional mistake. At the end it was fine, I didn't ask to be moved - I just wanted to enjoy my vacation without entering into an explanation mode - with or without a terrace.

Location great. Lots of parking.
Very small room. No one around after 7 pm. No restaurant after 7 pm.

Clean and comfy room, good beds, good aircon. Beach boardwalk to sea close by, separate private terrace, helpful staff
Staff does not speak English, hence our pre-travel enquiry was not answered regarding breakfast. Parking is close, but only available in an open public park, often busy at night, caravans parking nearby. Hostel building is also a busy bar, morning and evening, but residential part is separated by high walls which gives it some privacy

Lovely staff but I couldn’t sleep because of the noise of the bar next to my room, it was tooo loud.
I think the bar belongs to the restaurant. The hotel is small so I think the noise disturb guests in all other rooms.
The bar closed at 12:00 but people kept drinking in the street until 3, 4am.

Amazing location, right beside the beach, nice spot itself, I mean clean and properly refurbished.
Sheets and mattress, first one pure polyester, the second one a sponge mattress. It could/ should be better than this.

Really a great place, very close to the beach and a pine forest - ideal for relaxation. I stayed in a single room which features single bed with a drawer next to it, a digital TV with a very nice music channel, a mini table to put your stuff, a bathroom with shower cabin (shampoo and shower gels are included), towels (no need to pay extra for them), wall mounted wardrobe and a very nice terrace space, where you go and get some fresh air. I liked how tall the ceilings are, thus giving feeling of enough space in the whole accommodation. You enter the hotel through a very busy restaurant and the check-in desk is inside the restaurant - just in front of the bar. The place is well maintained and the room was very clean. Location wise, it is far away from the city centre (or the bus/ferry stations per se), so I would recommend you to check upfront how you can reach the hostel. In terms of price, I managed to get a good deal, so the quality of the service definitely matched the price, but for that I visited the place in early summer - in July/August prices seems to go up. Notice also that the closest supermarket is around 15 minutes by walk in one direction.
The personnel didn't speak English, so I had to brush up my basic Spanish, and I think, the attitude in general was a bit rough on the edges - I don't know, if that was due to the language barrier, but a smile goes a long way to make the guests welcomed and comfortable. I haven't tried the attached restaurant in the hotel due to the minimal amount to spend, if you pay with a card - if I remember correctly, you need to spend at least 10 euro, if you are about to pay with a card. Luckily, very close to it, there is a great place, literally in the forest, which is much more relaxed and also in terms of how you chose to pay for your consumption.
