A wonderful family feel beach house so comfortable and with every mod con you could need. The stunning views from house and garden made this a truly special experience. We will return!

Lovely beach side property, but also very good winter property, the sun room was amazing to sit in and ideal for Christmas, especially for the children and all the toys!!
The kitchen had everything one could need, and although a bit cosy, there was enough room for us all around the table.
The beds were very comfortable, and a separate TV in the children's bedroom was a definite plus ( for everyone!!)
The host also kindly let me know what was open, over the break, so I was able to book lunch out for us all.
The parking was close, and access to everywhere, good walks beaches, and shops.
We had a wonderful family Christmas with 3 generations staying in the house, having not been together for over 3 years!!
I would definitely recommend this house for people to stay at!!

A view to drink in
The view from the sunroom was so beautiful that come rain or shine we were all sat around in there for much of our spare time. It's a great people watching slot as the coastal path is opposite. The beach is a very short walk away and meant the children were there for swimming, surfing or paddling every day! Younger children or non-swimmers would be best to stroll a little further over to the main beach as there can be a rip in Baby Bay. The main Polzeath beach is close by with lifeguard cover during the day and ice cream shops, the latter of which we tested extensively as fortunately calories don't count on holiday.
The house is a little dated in parts, but the owner has gone out of their way to make all the key parts really work. The modern kitchen meant that eating in was easy with up to date appliances and a family sized fridge and freezer (we had a Sainsbury delivery the first evening) and plenty of room for us all to sit and share a meal. The ability for three people to get washed at the same time (after using the outdoor shower to warm through and rinse off) is fantastic when the British weather is less than reliable and the sheltered area outside so that wetsuits can be left to dry under cover is very valuable!
Our visit to this property was delayed by 18 months due to COVID and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Her communication from start to finish was brilliant and really helped us to feel confident in our stay. The house was cleaned to within an inch of it's life and my COVID worries were very much unfounded as it was all taken very seriously. Using a local cleaning service is a wise move by the the owner as little niggles like one of the thermostats needing a new battery was dealt with within 24 hours.
It was fantastic to have a parking space as during busy times the parking is full, although finding somewhere for the second car took a little time and it wasn't in a permanent slot until late evening once day trippers had gone for the day.. Fortunately once we were all in situ we could share the one car and not have to worry.
Overall we loved the house for it's location and the importance the owner placed on our safety and wellbeing. If you are going over school holidays make sure to book places to eat and things to do early as they were all very busy, bring your wetsuits (or hire from Polzeath main beach) and have a blast.

Wonderful week in Polzeath
Blessed by good weather we enjoyed a great week at Cowrie. The house is wonderful for families who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle of Cornwall. Early morning dips before breakfast at Baby beach then surfing on the main beach later. My family had a ball. (Breakfast was had in the small garden directly above the beach. Idyllic) The proximity to the coastal path enabled walks one way to Rock or the other to Pentire point. Both fabulous.
The house is well equipped for family suppers and bedrooms perfect for a holiday home. The outdoor shower after the beach is very useful.
All in all, one day I hope we`ll make it back. Thanks Svetlana for the house and great communication. (Also the cake on arrival!)

We’ve stayed in polzeath many times but this was an excellent spot- With perfect access to the beach and a great garden overlooking the sea for sundowners. Right on the coastal path so great walking too. It all worked well for us and we loved our stay.

Holiday
Had a great time in Cowrie, weather was rainy but we were in the water each day so it didn't really matter. Hot outdoor shower was very welcomed after a surf. Great communication from the owner.

A proper Polzeath holiday
We have just returned from a great family holiday at Cowrie.
It is the ideal holiday property, close to the beach, wonderful views and very comfortable. Added to this it has been thoughtfully organised for surfers, walkers paddle boarders etc with a wonderful outside shower and drying room.
No matter what the weather this is the ideal for a mixed age family holiday.

Another great week in Cowrie
This is the second time we've stayed at Cowrie. The property is well maintained, well appointed, clean and tidy, and very homely--all in all, a lovely place to stay. The location is fantastic. The children found plenty to do in the garden and the games room, and it takes just a minute to get to the beach or on to the cliff path. The location is fantastic. We'll be back soon.

Brilliant half term holiday
Cowrie is in a perfect position close to two beaches. Ideal for those with smaller children who want rock pools and sand castles and for those who want to surf.
The house is very well equipped, warm and comfortable.
We had an excellent holiday

We had a fabulous stay here, the location was perfect for those of us wanting to walk down to the beach for bodyboarding (and the warm outside shower when we arrived home afterwards was a lovely bonus!) or get straight on to the coastal path (very steep, beautiful views) but also flat enough for the grandparents to take a leisurely walk into Polzeath for coffee and cake! The house itself is comfortable and very well equipped. Every need is catered for with covered outside space to hang wetsuits, 3 inside bathrooms, several TV's and great wi-fi (mobile signal not good though). The sun room with its views of the sea and clifftop was much appreciated by all, particularly the grandparents. The owner is very helpful. Couldn't recommend this more highly!

Met and exceeded descriptions
The property sits on a wonderful, but exposed, coastline which offers splendid views but a fair share of damp weather if you are unlucky. The bathrooms and kitchen were all modernised which made the property much more charming than a brand new white plastered beach front hangout. Great access to beaches, rock pools and walking trails. Highly recommend walking the foot ferry route to Padstow instead of taking the car. We managed it with kids, grannies and a baby. Booking a food delivery gave us a lot more time on the beach and at many of the nearby attractions.
