About this apartment rental
Historic apartment rehabbed with many current amenities. Located in front of the old wall of the city of Girona. It is a very pleasant, safe, quiet neighborhood and is, without a doubt, the best area of cultural, gastronomic and commercial interest in the city. We have optional parking. We manage your COVID 19 test through an authorized company. Girona is very close to the Costa Brava and the Pre-Pyrenees. Legalized with the identifier: HUTG-022140 of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
A perfect combination of contemporary modernity and early 20th century architecture. The apartment is very quiet, natural light in all rooms and beautiful views. It has 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and balcony. If you need it, we also have optional parking for your vehicle very close to the apartment (check availability and rates).

The kitchen is equipped with the necessary utensils and appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, oven, microwave, ...). The bathroom has a large shower, washer and dryer. The main historical heritage of Girona - the Barri Vell, the Cathedral and the church of St. Félix, the Jewish Quarter, the Rambla, the Houses of the river Onyar, the main museums, ... - are all within a few minutes walking leisurely . All the necessary services (municipal market, supermarkets, public medical center, police, pharmacy, train and bus station, taxi station, ...), the best shops and restaurants are within a few minutes walking comfortably.
Girona's central train and bus station is about 12 minutes walking from the apartment. The main points of tourist interest in Girona can be visited by walking comfortably and quietly. All the necessary services (municipal market square, supermarkets, pharmacy, public health center, police, taxi station, the best shops, bars and restaurants, ...) are very close to the apartment. If you need it, we also have optional parking for your vehicle very close to the apartment (check availability and rates). From our apartment, the central area of the Costa Brava is about 35 kilometers away (about 30 minutes by road by car or bus) and the Pre-Pyrenees of Girona about 60 kilometers (about 45 minutes by road by car or bus ).

This is a nice apartment literally just minutes away from the old quarter, so lots of great walks and restaurants just minutes away.
Kitchen is pretty small, but we didn't cook in it.
Lots of stairs to get up to the apt - wasn't an issue for us, but it it several flights of stairs.
While it has AC, it's only capable of cooling the living room and does not reach into the larger bedroom, so if the temperature is hot outside, the one bedroom will be hot. (the other bedroom is off the living room - but has no windows and you need to leave the door open to get the AC)

This place in Girona was perfect for our family vacation. Our family of 5 spent 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was a short 10 minute walk from the train station. The apartment was clean and well maintained. Elisabeth and Josep we gracious hosts. There was clear communication and they were very responsive to our texts. Would highly recommend this place to stay while in the beautiful town of Girona.

This property has lots of great reviews and they are all true.
The apartment is a third floor walk up with modernized and clean kitchen and bath. The WIFI and TV (no English language channels) are good. The door locks are nice and strong.
The location is great; a five minute (or less) walk to old town in one direction and a grocery store in the other. The location is safe.
Our host was there right on time to let us in and was patient when showing the features of the unit to two quite tired travelers.
Here is the reason for the low overall rating: Air Conditioning. The apartment has a small AC unit that only blows into the living room. We were there in July 2023 with daytime temperatures of ~35 C / 95 F. The nice large bedroom with the inviting view shown in the property photo is 25 feet down the hall and receives zero AC. We could not use it because it was too hot to sleep there. Instead, we survived our five nights by sleeping in the living room (which was cool enough but not very comfortable).
Summary: Cooler weather - great place to stay. Hot weather - see above.

Overall, a great experience! With a few notes...
Overall, this apartment was perfect for our group of 3! The location and space is perfect. On a nice quiet street as well. One thing that I think is important to note if you need parking, the space does not have specified parking. There is a public lot nearby that you can pay $15/day for that the owners suggested. While technically there is parking available, if you are filtering places to need parking like I did, I think it is important to keep this in mind. Luckily, there is a university with free parking that is even closer than the public lot that was suggested which we opted for.

Lovely apartment and town
Fantastic location at start of ancient wall. Near shopping and restaurant district. A short 10 minute walk to bus/train station. Apartment has a lot of charm and equipped with everything you need. Elizabeth was quite helpful and friendly. We loved our stay here. Highly recommend walking the Sant Daniel nature walk.

Hermosa Girona
We enjoyed our stay in Girona immensely. The location on the edge of Girona’s medieval wall provided a beautiful view from the apartment bedroom. With quick access to the old town, it was easy to explore and wander the streets of the town and walk the wall.
Our host, Elizabeth warmly welcomed us to her apartment and provided information to get us started. We appreciated her recommendations for places to eat.
The apartment was ideal for the two of us, but would also be an ideal location for an additional 4 people or family. The cosy kitchen would allow for the preparation of meals should you choose to cook. Other amenities such as the washer/dry came in handy.
Thank you to Elizabeth who responded quickly to our call when I accidentally left the keys in the apartment.

Comfortable apartment in a great location
Elisabeth and Josef gave us a warm welcome and were extremely helpful and informative. They kept in touch with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was OK. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped . It was in a perfect location to see the main sites and to visit the many restaurants, bars and cafes in the old town and beyond. Our first visit to Girona and we would definitely recommend this apartment, we hope to stay here again ourselves.

Great location. Lovely city.
Location excellent for exploring Girona and Girona excellent for exploring the area. The apartment was small but good use of space and perfect for the 4 of us. A/C was very welcome and ceiling fans for the bedrooms. The only issue was the parking. Free our even cheap spaces are at a premium and the underground car park nearby was very expensive. This only caused us problems on 1 of our 7 days. I would still go back in a flash.

The owners were kind enough to meet us early to drop our bags at the beginning of our 14 day stay. Everything was clean and in working order. The apartment was in a perfect spot for sightseeing and our attendance at a language school. Girona is a reasonably quiet and very clean place. We loved the tiled floors throughout the rooms and were able to cook, eat and drink using items provided. No hesitation from me in staying here again if we needed.

Cozy & Walkable Flat Close to City Center
This cozy flat has beautiful original tiled floors reminding you of the old country. It’s spacious and very clean with comfortable beds in a family-friendly neighborhood close to Girona University so you see college students walking in area as well as small children in the playground across from flat. It’s an easy short walk to restaurants, shopping and touristy sites – the Cathedral & Jewish Quarters. Focusing on the craftsmanship of the stairwell and the cleanliness helps take your mind off the amount of stairs – beautifully made! Good communication with Elisabeth, she responded quickly to all inquires. She and her daughter were a delight in greeting us, providing a tour of the flat and guidance on places of interests especially the beach (Calella de Palafrugell). Love the beach – approximately an hour from flat but well worth it! There's several options to park car close by but free parking is up a steep hill/stairs. Don’t miss your opportunity to enjoy this authentic flat.

Beautiful apartment, right on the edge of historic Girona. Peaceful, lots of character.
We had a wonderful time in Girona and this lovely apartment made it easy. The apartment is right on the edge of the historic district, steps away from the town wall (I highly recommend walking the wall!). The apartment has nice historic details, and beautiful floors. There is no elevator to the top floor, so my 82 year old mom had to take breaks on the way up. The apartment was extremely clean, had good linens, enough kitchen equipment (although we didn't cook). The beds were very comfortable. The washer/dryer was great - although it would have helped to have instructions about how to use them in English (also the detergent). There is a park across the street with a kids play structure, and easy stroll to cafes, and even a good market (Lion's market). Walk just around the corner and you're in the thick of the historic district. Such a charming town with friendly locals, fantastic art scene, vibrant town marketplace, exciting history. I will definitely come back to Girona - and I would definitely stay in this lovely apartment again!

Simple but charming flat in ideal location
Elisabeth's Home Away flat on the very edge of the beautiful historic centre of Girona has everything necessary and nothing superfluous to requirements. We loved our base for two nights and as we were just my sister and I we had plenty of space to spread out and were happy to make and eat our simple meals in the kitchen; although Elisabeth also supplied some good shopping/visiting/ice cream tips! The apartment is very convenient for the old town, short walk to restaurants and shops. Lots of space, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. It is on the third floor and the building doesn't have a lift, you need to be reasonably fit!

Nice view from above
This apartment was very nice. It was huge too! Very clean and comfortable. I assume the tile floors were the original floors; so cool! The owner met us on site to hand over the keys, and she was very friendly. She also shared some local information with us of where to park, shop, and save money. The view from the balcony is nice of the city wall and the park below. Perfect spot to have a glass of wine and people watch away from it all.

I spent 7 nights in this Apartment. The location is right at the south end of the old city. It's perfect! Quiet at night. Easy walk to all the cafe's and restuarants. I'll stay here again next time I go back. Thanks Elizabeth!!!
