About this apartment rental
Beautiful 2 bedrooms apartment with 5 balconies, situated in a listed historic building. Recently refurbished with colonial style interior decoration. Fully equipped for you to feel at home. Has central heating. Close to Picasso Museum, Alcazaba and other places of interest .12 minutes from the beach. Near regional trains station , 5 minutes walking from national trains station and buses, to be able to visite other cities like Grenade (1 h.), Seville (2 h.). It's no need having a car, you will find all facilities around.
It is located in a quiet neighborhood with many shops and supermarkets close to the apartment (2 minutes walking), the apartment is very quiet, have double glass and in the street there are not very busy. The Modern Museum is 2 min far away from the flat, 10 min walking from main street Calle Larios, close the roman Theatre, Thyssen and Picasso´s Museum.The nearest beach is 12 min on foot. The flat is fully equipped you can find everything you can need for your stay.
Prices are for 2 persons except July and August that are fixed. The price extra person is 15euros/night.
If you need we have available parking 2 minutes by foot, 10 euros/night, 50 euros/week, 75euros/2 weeks.

Really enjoyed the neighborhood. Great restaurants nearby. Reasonably quiet at night. Near grocery, Mercado, bakery, coffee and laundromat. Walking distance to shopping, harbor, museums, etc. Very clean property. Be prepared for small shower and kitchen. During cold months be sure to coordinate with owner re heat — we stayed the month of February, 2024.

The apartment has an optimal position near the centre of Malaga. The price is below the average and it is right for the structure and the position. Maria has been very welcoming the first day, explaining us all the necessary informations to have the best experience in Malaga and kind trough the week. Moreover she answers to whichever question.

Shortened Stay
We really enjoyed our brief stay. Maria was great in offering us help when we arrived. She was also very helpful in our efforts to leave due to the Corona virus. The location is great for touring the old centre of town and for the many museums. Close to shopping, the train station and the bus terminal. It is a good 1/2 hour walk to the beach, but well worth it when you get there.
The unit is nice, but the location is noisy at night with the garbage collection at 2 am and sometimes with people out in the street until midnight. Close to a grocery store. When Spain was locked down Maria was nice enough to tell us we could stay as long as we had to. We were sorry to cut our visit short, but really enjoyed it.

Home away from home
Had a wonderful visit to the Malaga area. Maria was very helpful and welcoming! The apartment was very well situated near bus and train stations and an easy walk to the popular downtown areas. A good place to stay to visit this interesting city and find a few tapas and churros!

Month in Malaga
We spent a month in Maria's apartment in Perchel, an authentic, not too touristy neighborhood in Malaga. The apartment was very comfortable and everything was exactly as advertised. We are very experienced travelers, and Maria was by far the best host we have encountered!!
The location is superb - close to the Centro Historico, Mercado, and bus and train station - and in a real, lively Spanish neighborhood full of shops, bars and good restaurants.. The whole experience was wonderful.

Malaga holiday
We loved the apartment and were pleased to be close to the centre of Malaga. We walked everywhere. Our disappointment s related to the noisy bin emptying every night at 2.00 am and the even noisy building work which started at 7.15 a.m. on the weekdays. It is frustrating to have sleep disrupted every night and early in the morning when on holiday. Other than that we made the most of every day

Piccasso Flat
We had a wonderful stay in Malaga at Maria’s Picasso flat for six weeks from February 27th until April 12th 2019.
Maria is a great, concerned and attentive host who is always willing to help her tenants. We were met at the Malaga airport by a taxi driver, which was all arranged by Maria, who then took us to the flat and later that day we had a visit from Maria’s associate MarieCarmen who explained the appliances, the internet access, the location of the local stores and markets and the area in general. The apartment is very nice and well-furnished although the kitchen is quite small and took some getting used to but we used it to cook most of our meals. The apartment is on the first floor using stairs to access and over a very busy restaurant. The neighbourhood garbage bins, just across the street, are emptied at 2’ish every morning which we found rather noisy. In fairness however, we must add that we live in a small community on Vancouver Island and as such, we are not accustomed to the city noise.
The flat could not be in a better location! It is a quiet, safe neighbourhood within walking distance of the many sites in Malaga and our stay there was very pleasant. The local metro, which also goes to the airport for 1:85 euro, is only a three or four minute walk and the local buses are accessed even closer. The bars and cafes are all around the area are really good and travelers are well received by all. The Café Bar Cuarteles, two minutes away, is particularly friendly and serve great tapas and fish of all types.
All in all, a great stay.

Clean and comfortable.
Maria was a good Hostess ensuring we had everything we needed to make our 9 night stay comfortable. The apartment is as shown in the pictures. It was very clean and all the furniture was in great repair and comfortable. It is easy walking distance from both the train and bus stations as advertised, approx 30 minutes to the beaches. You can go to the train station and pick up a 10 fare bus pass for 8E30 and the number 3 bus, 2 blocks away, takes you right to the beach. So for us the location was not ideal. As for facilities, there was no tumble dryer as advertised, the wifi was shared and really really slow. In addition we found it noisy at night. The garbage bins just across the street (6 of them) are picked us at 2ish every morning.

Excellent place to explore Malaga
We stayed at the apartment for four days, and enjoyed our stay a lot. We were received by Maria upon arrival and she made us feel at home very quickly. Maria also arranged a nicely priced parking space in a nearby parking.
The apartment is very nice, although the kitchen is quite small. The apartment is well furnished, and is within walking distance of many sites in Malaga. We took a taxi to get to the Castello de Gibralfaro, and walked back downhill to the city. It is very easy to explore the area around Malaga, provided one has a car at one's disposal.

A lovely apartment and delightful host
We enjoyed the high ceilings, impeccable cleanliness, and spacious living space.
We did find the tiny kitchen took some getting used to but it had everything we needed.
Lovely to have Mas across the road for shopping.

Great photos of the property and not so great reality...
That property was the biggest disappointment for our family! Planned to stay there for 9 days and we were ready to leave the next day after we came... Unfortunately, due to the peak season, we were not able to find another place right away and basically were forced (by circumstances) to stay there longer than we wanted... Of course, with all these moves and changes we lost a lot of money as well as the most precious and extremely valuable time of our vacation. Communication with the owner was stressful and not "customer friendly" at all...

A lovely Flat!
Really enjoyed our stay at the Picasso Flat, Maria was wonderful in helping with anything we needed. The flat is just situated minutes away from the old city and close to the train station. It's just a few blocks away. There is a wonderful Fresh market very close, a grocery store just steps outside the building. A wonderful restaurant just below the apartment . I felt this apartment was located in a great spot. Will return.

Very convenient location, very comfortable home
First of all, the owner was very easy to work with and very helpful. Whenever we emailed her with a question or wanting advice, she always replied quickly with what we needed. Her mother is nice, too.
The apartment’s location was excellent. Leaving the building, we were at the door of a supermarket in about 30 seconds. The train station was an easy ten minute walk. The drive to the airport was simple. The central business district and river were about 15 minutes by foot.
The apartment is one floor up from the sidewalk, using stairs. One floor directly below the apartment (that is, at sidewalk level) is a very nice neighborhood restaurant. It is a quiet, safe neighborhood. Living there was pleasant.
The apartment has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a small but well equipped kitchen, and a living room-dining room combination with a small library with some books in English.
The kitchen has a clothes washer and a rack to dry the clothes on.
The beds and the rest of the furniture were comfortable. The entire apartment was well furnished, welcoming, and felt like home.
There is really no good place to park on the street so if you have a car, definitely rent their garage space. Although the garage is two blocks away, it’s an easy level walk. The parking stalls are large and the garage itself is a big commercial one with plenty of space for driving inside. We were impressed.
The only problem we had was locating the apartment the first time. Although it is easy to spot it on a map, actually getting there in a car was difficult and time-consuming because all the one way streets seemed to go in the wrong direction, one after another, so although we would be quite near they would take us far away from the apartment, time after time. We’d be half a kilometer away, yet it took half an hour to actually arrive there. After we found a useful route, though, it was easy. The first time, either walk or take a taxi from the train station, or if you have a car, use a GPS that shows one way streets and all up-to-date construction information.
We heartily recommend this apartment.

The location was very good....close to the beach, shopping, etc. We went to Gibraltar from here along the coastal highway, it was a beautiful drive. The only downside was that there is a restaurant in the next building that tended to be quite noisy at night".
