Cottage was very well equipped and furnished, a lot of thought had obviously gone into the interior design. The kitchen had all things necessary for simple or complex meal prep and having the cleaning kit was really helpful.
Location was great, a short walk to the lovely village of Winchcome and also to Sudley castle. It was a lovely bonus to have free access to the castle which is definitely worth a visit.
It was a great break and is definitely in my list to re-visit.

House clean and tidy with good size tv, a couple of games, books and plenty of kitchen equipment. Outside area had a bbq with picnic bench but was not ready for us to use. Upstairs bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms lovely and beds comfortable. Plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. Lounge was a good size for a family as used the sofa bed and there was plenty of room. Mattress on sofa bed a little worn but if being used for small children it would be more than adequate.

I stayed for two nights in the Emma Dent cottage. The cottage is clean and in a quiet location. There is an open plan kitchen/living room, plus downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom. One room has a double bed, and the other two single beds. The shower is large and you are supplied with toiletries. In the kitchen there is a pint of milk in the fridge, plus tea/coffee and mints. The cottage is a short walk from Sudeley castle and entry is free if you show your key/proof of staying at a cottage. I also recommend asking to do the tour at £5. The cottage is also a short walk away from some restaurants, so although you can self-cater, you can easily also eat out. For entry, you let yourself in, as you will be given a key code to retrieve the front door key. I very much enjoyed the Emma Dent cottage. I intent to book it again for next year as I found it ideal.

We loved this cottage. It's beautiful inside and out. The location is perfect -- a walk of less than 5 minutes to the center of Winchcombe, but in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac with a few other pretty cottages. Small private parking area with plenty of spaces. The downstairs -- living room, dining area and kitchen -- is very spacious and nicely furnished, with all the modern conveniences. The upstairs bedrooms are quite small. There is a closet in each, but no drawers for storing clothes. Perhaps the hosts will consider putting a small dresser in the closet. Overall, we were very happy with our choice.

We stayed as a family; grown up children and parents. We went to Giffords Circus who were performing at the castle. This beautiful cottage was the perfect location. The village is fabulous. We are vegan and there are plenty of vegan food offerings to choose from.
It is easy to cook in the cottage too as the equipment provided was excellent. The rooms are both ensure and there is plenty of space both inside and outside to hang out in.
Fabulous thank you.

Our family recently stayed at the Emma Dent cottage. The cottage itself was exactly what we wanted and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked for all our cooking needs, bedrooms and bathrooms were great. Upon arriving we were greeted with a lovely note and some treats including lots of tea and coffee and some milk in the fridge. This was the perfect base to explore The Cotswolds. It's a short walk to the High Street with several options for food and beverage. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area.

Emma Dent cottage is a very clean and exceptionally comfortable cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. Having free entry to Sudeley Castle, which is beautiful and very interesting, was a bonus.

We were very pleased with our recent stay in Emma Dent cottage.
In a small development of other rentals it was like stepping back in time.
The cottage was spotless, looked like it had been recently refurbished. Very well stocked with everything you would need.
Perfect for a short break, within easy walking distance of the lovely town of Winchcombe.
Our only criticism was a lack of drawer space in the bedrooms.
Lovely little courtyard for enjoying a glass of wine.
We had one small problem which was resolved immediately by a call to the office.
Free entry to Sudeley castle was an added bonus.
Would thoroughly recommend these cottages.

A nice detached house with two bedrooms and separate bathrooms. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is there is this efficient home .
The kitchen is well equipped, dining table and chairs for our family of four. The Living room sits up to 6.
It is located close to both Sudeley Castle and the town, an excellent location.
4.7
Cottage excellent.
Just a few downsides - not much storage space upstairs and the bedroom felt quite squashed with the 5ft bed in it. Also the two steps into the bedrooms were hazardous.
Nice to have a tray set out for us and milk in the fridge. The cottage was very well equipped, the patio superb and the big shower was great.

Very clean, comfortable and spacious cottage whilst visiting family locally. Have stayed before and will be back again!! Although Sudeley Castle was closed this time we were able to go on some lovely walks and enjoyed a delicious meal at the local pub the White Hart.

Lovely warm cottage for winter stay. We have stayed here many times and it is always of a very high standard .

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma Dent cottage which we found to be very comfortable and superbly placed for both Sudeley Castle and Winchcombe town as well as walks in the surrounding countryside. We very much appreciated the early check in and would love to return.
Just one friendly suggestion - more dishes, plates etc should be provided as this would save on your dishwasher costs! Only five dishes for four people isn’t enough - 12 would mean the dishwasher only needs to go on once a day instead of at least twice, saving power and the planet! But this is a common issue in self catering properties. Thank you again

We actually rented Emma Dent for 2 weeks as a base for touring manor houses and castles. The cottage experience far surpassed our normal style of moving from one B&B to another. Very comfortable and private. We highly recommend The Plough Inn for meals.
4.7
Very enjoyable stay on the whole.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma Dent. The accommodation is excellent. We were disappointed about the building work and scaffolding right next door and the loss of a nice seating area as no one could describe sitting at the back as pleasant. Also we were woken early and overlooked in the back bedroom. It did not spoil our holiday, but I think we should have been alerted to the situation beforehand.

Emma Dent cottage in Winchcombe
The area is lovely for a few days away. The cottage is situated in a quiet area. There are pubs, coffee shops and grocery shops in the village as well as a local bus to Cheltenham.

An excellent stay
Beautiful group of cottages walking distance from both the charming village and Sudeley castle with its stunning gardens. The cottage (Emma Dent) was very well appointment and brand new but in a typical Cotswolds style. It’s free on 4 sides but overlooking a charming courtyard where also the other cottages are. A few walks seem to start right next to the cottages or in the immediate proximity. The construction site mentioned in the brochure is right beside Emma Dent cottage so maybe it’s a bit noisy at the moment during the week. It hasn’t affected me since I arrived on Friday afternoon. I definitely recommend it.

Relaxing stay in Cotswolds with family and friends
We had a wonderful time staying in the Emma Dent cottage, with my brother and his family staying next door in Queen Mary cottage. We were visiting family locally in Winchcombe and made use of our free entrance to the beautiful Sudeley Castle and grounds. All thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A lovely, clean and spacious cottage.

A short break
I booked the cottage for my son and family when they visited us in Winchcombe as we do not have much room for them all.
They loved it and made use of their free admission to the castle. The little girls wanted to stay for ever in their "little house" and I wish they could! Folkestone is a very long way from Granny! They loved their room and there was a cot for the baby too. My son said it was like living in a film set, very beautiful!

Christmas Stay
Beautiful cottage in a first class location. Excellent access to the grounds of Sudeley Castle, the high street and the Gloucestershire Way. We have stayed in this cottage twice now and can't fault it. Highly recommended

Girls weekend
Great stay again in one of these cottages. Highly recommend. Would like more tall drinking glasses available though

Emma Dent Cottage at Sudeley Castle
Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Clean, comfortable and helpful, friendly staff. Just perfect.
4.7
Clean & comfy
This is a lovely cottage, clean& comfortable. Light, airy modern bathrooms. The kitchen is modern with up to date appliances and Neff induction hob for cooking, which is very quick and responsive.
(Had a problem with the washing machine on the last day, but it was sorted out for us on the morning we departed).
Sudeley castle just up the road and the restaurants etc are a 5-10 minute walk away.
4.7
Lovely stay
Loved the cottage. Close to the Main Street and all the shops. House was quite comfortable. The washer and dryer came in very handy. Took advantage of the free entrance to Sudeley Castle.
4.7
My review
Bed was so uncomfortable and the the double bed so small . lot of cobwebs and spiders which I hate.
4.7
Dark and cold
We love Winchombe and Sudeley castle, so the location of Emma Dent was perfect. However we won't be returning because the house is very dark even on the sunniest days. We were lucky to have an outside temperature of 30 degrees but the house remained cold. There is very little outside space and what there is was not well-tended and has tatty chairs. The two bedrooms are very small, but did have generous en-suite bathrooms. I felt the glossy photos of the house online made the house look much brighter and larger than the reality. Overall the house felt a bit neglected inside and out. We have rated customer service at only 2 because we couldn't get through on the phone to the office when we needed to report a malfunctioning toilet (although we may have been successful in leaving a voicemail - not sure).

Great weekend getaway
Lovely little cottage in an ideal location. Really well prepared and cleaned. Well equipped kitchen.

Wonderful cottage
Wonderful little cottage in a great lication. Cosy and comfortable with everything you need. Highly recommend.

The cottage was in tip-top condition on arrival, instructions on how to gain access were clear and concise. The house was well stocked with basic comestibles, china, cutlery and other utensils and equipment. It was well furnished and offered the utility and enjoyment of an outside table and chairs to enjoy the warmth of the evenings. The beds were comfortable and both have their own en suite bathroom. Emma Dent cottage is a short walk to the centre of Winchcombe and therefore very convenient for dining and wandering around, as well as being easily accessible to a number of walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside and Sudeley Castle. There was a very useful compendium about the cottage and precincts and the history of the place, as well as suggestions of walks that we could do. All in all, a great place to stay. We’d love to go again.

Family weekend
We had booked this cottage for a family wedding, which then had to move. We kept the bookings to have a family get together anyway, and we are glad we did. The cottage was lovely and a great place to stay. Our family were staying in other cottages close by so this was great for us to get together each night. We enjoyed Sudeley Castle, which was only a short way away, and it was very welcome to have the entry included with the accommodation cost. A great stay in a lovely cottage.

Great Stay
Excellent property in an enviable location, close to the charming Town with very quiet clean and comfortable accommodation, however we did miss the seating as in the outside photograph.
Lots of walking and places to visit, the Elephants displayed at Sudeley Castle were a magnificent site.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful cottage
We had a fantastic 3 nights staying at Emma Dent cottage. The cottage was perfect for us as 3 friends with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen and living area is great and we loved the location. Free entry to the castle was great and Winchcombe has some lovely pubs too, aswell as being a short drive from lots of other lovely little towns.
We just wish we had stayed longer!
4.7
a couples three night stay
The cottage was everything we expected and as described on the website. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, very comfortable and in an idyllic spot.
The only very slight negative is that the tv is up on the wall which means that sitting on the sofa you have to tilt your head back which is uncomfortable if you have neck problems. The space underneath the tv is completely empty with plenty of space to put in a tv unit and place the tv on the unit. For this reason we have not booked Emma Dent for next year but have booked one of the other cottages with tv at eye level on a tv unit.

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a great location!
The cottage itself was beautiful and traditional but with all the mod-cons we needed. It was immaculately clean and was a very welcome and cosy sight after a day of hiking in the local area! We hope to be back very soon!
4.7
Very enjoyable!
Pretty cottage, everything that you would need is provided, lovely and clean and close to good restaurants and pubs.

Would definitely recommend.

Great base for the Cotswolds
Emma Dent cottage provided an excellent base for our stay in the Cotswolds. It is also one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed at. The complimentary pass to Sudeley castle was also very welcome. Highly recommended.
