OUR OPINION
Spacious, cosy and central! Chalet les Sauberands has a number of features that makes it extremely popular : the TV room is light and spacious and really doubles as a second sitting room with access directly onto the deck; the office is a good size and overlooks the garden; both the hot-tub and outdoor pool (summer only) enjoy mountain views . All this means that there is generous space for groups to spread out. The clincher is its proximity to the town centre!

Last minute booking worked out
Booked this a week before holiday as french covid restrictions changed. Great chalet with plenty of room for 10 individuals. Lots of living space, nice log fire, and good kitchen for cooking for 10. Short walk to town, but longer walk to ski lifts and buses not that frequent we found. Really good boot room and nice hot tub (can fit 4/5). Overall great stay and would rent again.

The Perfect Getaway
We have just returned from what I would describe as the Perfect Mountain Holiday Home. There were 12 persons in our group and the Chalet was ideal for this amount. The situation was Perfect as the Chalet is 5 mins walk from the town centre and only 5 mins walk from Les Planards ski slope where there is ample skiing for beginners and those who want to push themselves a little further. But in a very quiet and relaxed area. The garden is big enough for kids to build their many Snowmen.
The facilities at the Chalet are all of a high standard, the rooms are of ample size and the property was clean and tidy. The Hot Tub was used every evening after a hard day skiing and was perfect for those aching bones.
The Log fire was fantastic and is the focal point of the Lounge and dining room. There is Sky TV but who needs it when you have a lovely fire like that to sit and stare at.
The company who looked after us (Mountain Base) were fantastic from the moment that we booked the Chalet. Nothing is too much trouble and they have a range of activities which they are happy to organise. We were even asked how we would like the bedrooms organised (singles, double beds..) which in all of the apartments and chalets where we have stayed before has never been asked. As a little extra touch, I asked as to whether the fire could be lit and ablaze for when we arrived. It was and what a lovely welcome.
In Summary, the chalet was ideally located, perfectly maintained with the quality equipment which you would expect from this type of Property, and a perfect holiday home for Mountain based activities. I would highly recommend Chalet Sauberands to all! Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Chalet Sauberands was the perfect chalet for a long-awaited luxurious family Christmas holiday and located to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. It is a fabulously designed and decorated chalet, full of charm and ambience. The chalet provides good accommodation for several generations of a family holidaying together. It was great to have a lounge room downstairs for the kids to watch their TV programs, while the big kids relaxed after dinner in front of the log fire. And with four bathrooms - there was no fighting for baths and showers after skiing. It was amazing to sit in the hot tub relaxing your aching muscles, while drinking in the view of the mountains. AWESOME!!!The chalet is perfectly located with a short stroll into the heart of Chamonix town centre, and easy access to the main train station and the Mer de Glace station. If you dont fancy dining in - you are within a easy walk to some fantastic restaurants. We all loved it and would highly recommend it.
