Lovely accommodation in great location. However I feel two improvements would greatly improve the property. First is screens on doors & windows to prevent insects & improve airflow as well as fresh air at night. Two is ceiling fans in bedrooms to circulate air as the water cooler fans in bedroom didn’t help much. Otherwise great.

Sunset Abode is a short drive from Sydney but the breathtaking views from the house over Pittwater make you feel like you are a million miles away. The house is well appointed and provided a beautiful background in which to celebrate a family birthday. Barrenjoey House is 3 mins walk away and we also enjoyed a delicious dinner there one evening.

We had a perfect 3 days at Sunset Abode celebrating a family wedding. The property was generous in size and central to all the area has to offer. The home provides a stunning outlook and everything you could possibly need for a fabulous break. Helen was great to deal with, answering questions promptly. The bottle of wine was a extra thoughtful gesture.

We stayed for our wedding weekend and used the house to get ready. It was a spectacular location and backdrop for our initial photos.It was a great place to stay.One note was that I was surprised at the traffic noise at night. Didn't realise the road below was so busy.

I can see why our hosts are SuperHosts. They were delightful to deal with from beginning to end. We were two families with kids aged 6-8 and it was a perfect home and location. In fact it was better than the photos and the location was just idyllic across the road from the wharf and beach. Thoroughly recommend!

One of the first things that you appreciate on arrival is the house is positioned to enjoy the great views across the Pittwater. The house is spacious and comfortably accommodates 8 with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. Well appointed the place is a great weekender that feels like you are getting away from the city. Would recommend.

This was a lovely space and had a great view but I feel it could have been cleaned better, and maybe some pest control could be factored into the price for a more comfortable stay. There could have been a better cleaning process prior to our arrival as there was old food crumbs on the carpets, cobwebs in all bedrooms and dust on many surfaces. The bedroom door lock was broken on the ground floor and window locks in the ground floor room were also broken.

Our second time stay at 1134 Barrenjoey Rd and we loved it. So easy to settle into this nicely appointed home away from home. Fantastic location with everything you could need to make a weekend relaxed and enjoyable. No pool but an amazing view over Pittwater, topped off with beautiful sunsets. We stayed 3 nights from Thursday to Sunday and we all relaxed from the moment we stepped in the door. Our kids loved their own space down stairs, the adults relaxed in a great entertaining space overlooking the water, park, harbour beach and ferry wharf. The kitchen has everything you need and looks out on gardens behind and harbor in-front. A stones throw away from great restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Choose to do nothing and soak up the atmosphere or adventure out and explore a special part of the sydney basin. We loved it so much we have booked again in September for my wife's birthday. Thanks Helen for making it so easy!

Stunning views, excellent location

This property is just amazing. The views, the location in walking distance of cafes and restaurants, lovely shops, walking tracks and beaches can’t be faulted. We didn’t even need to use our car while there for a week. There are four bedrooms plus a study, a lovely garden, and views of the water from almost every room. The bottle of wine on arrival was a welcome touch and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals each night. We even saw dolphins and a seal swimming past the beach across the road. It was the relaxing winter getaway we all needed!

Great place for a weekend away with the girls. Helen was very responsive, check in was easy and house was extremely well equipped with everything u could need. Plenty of room throughout the house and the deck was ideal for morning breakfast and evening drinks.
