About this villa rental

For those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern hectic life, this house is the perfect all-season getaway; autumn when earth just smells of first rain, winter next to the fireplace, spring next to flowers, summer next to the pool.

The house is located in a small settlement in the rural area of Kiparissonas, entirely built upon ruins dated back to the 18th century.  Upon arrival you will have the ultimate back-to-nature holiday without giving up any of the luxury you deserve.

This house is a stunning original stone building with a natural rural surrounding in the popular region of Central Greece. It boasts a large, picturesque stone terrace, stunning views across to the island of Evia and a traditional yet elegant design. With space for up to six people (can be exteded to 8, or even more by adding our grandma's house which is nearby), it is ideal for families or friends who are looking to enjoy the warm climate in an authentic rural environment.

Our house has been lovingly restored to combine modern style with traditional farmhouse features. The open plan living space is light and airy with doors opening straight onto an terrace. Traditional floor tiles, wooden ceilings and more than one feature fireplace. On top of that, the farmhouse-styled kitchen is perfect for preparing a delightful feast.

The master bedroom has far-reaching view over the majestic landscape. Further twin rooms have each their own bathrooms, and a separate house can be used upon request to ensure that there is plenty of room for combined family vacation.

If you can tear yourself away from the house’s gorgeous interior, the beautiful landscape outside begs to be explored. Many of the area’s best mountain walks start from right outside the door, and provide the perfect opportunity to find peace in the spectacular views.

The sea is but a short drive away and is renowned for its beaches and small taverns preparing exquisite fresh fish.

You can take a day trip to the famous, breathtaking monastery of Meteora, and the well known Plastira lake. At whatever time you decide to come, one thing is for certain: Kiparissonas brings all the adventure and remoteness of a back to nature holiday at all its luxury.

The house is even better than it looks like int he photos! It is situated in the mountains a short drive away from Volos airport. It is beautifully furnished with local material, for example the floor of the house is made of the wood from local dried wine casks and the stone floors are made from local stone. Designed and built by a local architect who also owns the house, the house is eco before eco was even a thing! The owner and his family are amazing people, big hearts, cultured, they are able to explain the history of the entire area, and engage you in conversations of any topic whatsoever! There are enough spaces in the house for at least a big family, with a well-equipped kitchen, huge spacious shared areas in the house, and a cozy outdoor seating area around the stone table. There is a separate guest house a bit further down, and a swimming pool behind the outdoor area, with a small ledge from which you can jump off from. Because of the pride the owner and family have in the house, it is very well-maintained and clean. The house is perfectly situated to go for hikes in the surrounding mountains, where there are wheat fields and goat herds. Life is very tranquil and authentic. The village is called 'village' in Greek, that's how small it is. Most of the villagers there know each other for generations and are extremely friendly. During our stay, we were invited for dinner to almost every house in the neighbourhood. The town centre is very cute and charming, residents sit outside and have mezze and drink ouzo while kids are playing under the stars. It is also a short drive away from the lake, where there are a few nice restaurants with cheap, delicious food, and a short drive away from the port, from which you can reach a few charming Greek islands. Highly recommend this property and the only pity is that I am not able to make it there several times a year.

A tiny village with less than 30 inhabitants in "The middle of nowhere". Up on a little mountain with views of the sea which is 15 minutes drive. The 3 bedroom/3 bathroom house is cozy, and very romantic. Traditional Greek architecture by famous architect George Michailidis. We loved it so much we plan on going again in the spring. Go once and you will be hooked !
