This spacious, newly renovated, 5 bedroom 3.5 bath home is perfect for your large or extended family. In addition to an open concept living room, kitchen, and dining room, the upper floor features a master en-suite with full size bathroom, walk- in closet and Roku TV/DVD player. You'll find everything you need to make you feel at home in this well equipped kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and glass tile backsplash. Enjoy your meals out on the composite upper deck or at the large indoor table. There's room for the whole family to hang out in the living room area and watch movies on the brand new 55" Smart TV, or to have a family game night (plenty on the bookshelf). With Jack and Jill style bedroom suites on the first floor, parents can enjoy the privacy, comfort and peace of mind that comes with having their own room connected to the kids room by a full sized bathroom. Each room comes equipped with it's own TV, and the queen over queen bunk room features a TV with a build in DVD player for those littles that can't fall asleep without watching their favorite movie. Getting to and from the beach is a breeze as beautiful Topsail beach is just a few minutes walk, even for little legs. We provide beach chairs, sand and water toys, and an umbrella for your convenience. Also within walking distance is a children's playground. For those of you that like biking, and/or kayaking there is a rental nearby as well.
During your stay you can unplug from the world, or stay in touch with friends and family (or work if you really need to) via our free WiFi. If your idea of a perfect vacation includes listening to your favorite tunes, just connect up to our wireless Bluetooth speaker and enjoy.
Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday June- August. Off season rentals offer more flexibility in rental dates.

This house was even closer to the beach than it seemed on the listing and was in a great spot. Check in was easy and the house had everything you needed for a good stay.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was comfortable and attractive, exactly as pictured. The weather didn’t cooperate but we were able to get on the beach for a few days. We also spent a lot of time on their covered porches which we loved. Very comfortable furniture and great views! The owner is very accessible and responds quickly. We hope to return next summer.

The house was very well stocked for enjoyment at the beach without us having to bring much along. They had sand toys, a tent, a cooler, beach chairs and even a beach bag to put it all in! The walk was very short and convenient to a non crowded area of the beach. The host was also very easy to get ahold of and communicate with. I would highly recommend to others.

I needed an extra day because of my grandsons wedding and the owner accommodated us with no problem. We came down for the wedding and wanted to stay for a week of vacation. The place was 2 blocks from the wedding venue and very close to walk to the beach everyday. We had everything we needed at the house. Thank you!!

Everything about this home was perfect! Location, accomodations, living space, views, so close to the beach and all the extras such as beach chairs and beach towels. We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation with our grown children. I would highly recommend renting this amazing home if you're looking for a beach vacation near everything.

Owner was incredibly responsive. Location is top notch. Pretty quiet neighborhood. Local restaurants had excellent food and service. Kitchen stocked well if you like to cook. Surprising amount of spices. Beds were pretty comfortable. Front porch views were fabulous.

Me and my family which was 12 in total and 1 dogs loves the house!! The view from the top front porch made that our favorite spot of the whole house. The house had a nice layout and more then enough space!! Our dog loved it and even tried to refuse to leave lol!! And topsail is always beautiful to visit and this house is so close to the beach we walked there multiple times a day whether we went in the water or not. We would definitely stay again at this house!!

Our family (baby, kids, adults, grandparents) gathered here for a quick weekend stay. Although the weather was quite rainy, we enjoyed spending time just hanging at the house playing games. We liked how close the property is to the beach as well as convenient to any shops, stores, or places to eat. The sea turtle rescue is right down the road and our whole group enjoyed that experience. The owner was great- responsive and flexible with our needs. We really had a nice time in Surf City and felt the house was perfect for a family retreat.

This property exceeded expectations. It was very spacious, convenient to everything and very close to the beach. We loved the deck and porches with their wonderful views.

This was our second stay at Ellen & Rays beachside home in Surf City. Like last year we found the home very clean and comfortable upon arrival. Check in was very easy with the new electronic key lock entry system. Improvements made since our last visit include new furniture and decking on the upper and lower decks. All exterior doors were painted as was the outside house trip. These all add to the "curb appeal" of the house and made time spent on the decks very relaxing.
Ellen called to let us know Tropical Storms warnings were in effect a few days after we arrived and we took necessary precautions with all the outside furniture. No damage to report but the winds did reach 80mph so we were glad she called.
The beach furniture was very helpful and the outdoor shower is a plus when returning. The kitchen is well stocked. The TVs were a big hit for the football games.
Despite a few rain days, we had several sunny days at the beach with huge waves. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach which was never crowded.
We thoroughly enjoyed our return visit and look forward to another visit next year.

The house was nice. With 4 different cars, kayaks and fishing gear there was plenty of room for all in the parking area. The ourdoor shower made cleaning off sand very easy. The inside of the house was clean, spacious and would be suitable for a longer stay than just the weekend we were there. It is certainly a place we would go again.

We had a fantastic experience at Ellen's beach rental! Communication was excellent, and the home was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, and there were plenty of outdoor spaces to relax. Highly recommend!

This property was very clean upon arrival at it. It is a very short walk to the beach and my kids enjoyed it. It is very spacious and has plenty of bedrooms. It is also less than a mile from the town of Surf City. Excellent restaurants and shopping. I would rent this property again.

This house is clean, comfortable, and very well appointed for a large group. It's also a short walk to the beach, with no busy streets to cross with little ones :-) The owner was very responsive and great to work with.

This property is by far one of the best stocked properties we have stayed at! There were probably 20 beach towels, plenty of beach chairs, sand toys, beach umbrellas, a beach tent, boogie board, a cooler, etc. We were amazed when we arrived at how much beach necessities were provided! The house also has composite decking on both upper and lower decks which looked brand new, this was great for our crawling 9 mo old that traveled with us and wanted to play on the floor outside in the shade! No splinters! The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, cups, pans, silverware for our large group of 12! The pictures really do not do the size of the kitchen and living area justice, there was plenty of seating for us to eat dinner together and to prepare big breakfasts. The full size washer and dryer was also nice especially with 6 kids there. The huge front upper level deck had a lot of outdoor seating and a really nice view of the ocean. The adults spent many mornings sipping coffee there and many evenings after a day at the beach hanging out. We definitely used the outdoor shower and at one point were showering 4 kids and two adults in there with room to spare! The walk to the beach was quick and easy because it is so very close to the house. I would highly recommend this rental for families with children of all ages and would not hesitate to re-book for 2025!

We loved the house. They had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Loved all the beach toys etc that was available to us! It was wonderful. I would like to see a closet for the Master suite. I had no where to hang my clothes. I used the hall tree in the entry hallway. But it was perfect for my family of 14. I would go again!!

This house was perfect for a trip with our extended family. The set up was great for our two households with kids plus the grandparents. We loved the easy walk to the beach, the outdoor shower for washing off the sand, and the large outdoor decks for hanging out and listening to the waves. Plenty of beach chairs, towels, and beach gear for the family. We would absolutely stay here again

The house was well maintained and cleaned. Lots of games and beach stuff for the kids. I stayed there to celebrate my retirement with my family. We had a great time. The location was perfect. The owner worked with us on the dates. I highly recommend the house.

It was a beautiful home with all the things that you need! It includes beach chairs and had a fully stocked kitchen which was nice because we only ate out once. Only bad thing was that we were not notified that pest control was coming and they walked in on our family during breakfast. A little awkward.

“One Particular Harbor” provided a wonderful location for our fall beach vacation. Everything about Ellen’s house was exactly as described. Clean, spacious, and comfortable. We watched the sunrise from the upper deck most mornings and the sunset from the back porch. The walk to the beach is very short and manageable when carrying chairs and towels. The beach is very clean and stretches for miles. Many small, uncrowded places to eat and hear live music.
Ellen is a terrific host and we are already planning our return visit.

This house was perfect for a large family and 3 small dogs. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the main living area and balcony had lots of room for 12 of us to relax, eat and socialize. The house is well equipped with beach chairs and towels, games and books. The only drawback was the slow and limited cable package, but we weren't there to watch TV. 😊

Great property, location and price. The property manager is remarkable. This is the second time staying in the property and we have never been disappointed. When I say the listing was not accurate I simply mean the bedding situation changed after the initial booking but the property manager was diligent in notifying us in advance of the plan to swap out 2 twin bunks for a single double bunk so we just brought an air mattress to accommodate the change. Heating ducts and exhaust fans could use some attention but the rest of the house was very clean. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to rent this house again. Thank you

Our Family loved this house. It exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the living spaces were very spacious. We loved spending time on the decks. The access to the beach was short and easy. We could not have been happier.
