Right across the street from the best beach we’ve found on the island so far. Firefly type bugs flying around are awesome, other than flies congregating indoors without seemingly any invitation, bugs weren’t a problem. Bunk beds in 3rd bedroom actually suited our 50 year old daughter and her 13 year old daughter just fine! Food prices are very high! Bring your wallet!! Stuff it before you get here! Back up outside grill thankfully made up for seriously dead main grill. Everyone loved our 6 night visit 🏖️👍

Everything I read about this home was accurate, but I can't emphasize enought about the wonderful location of the house. A quiet place on a quiet road, and just a minute walk to probably the best beach on the island. Everything about this home was outstanding. We spent 6 peaceful days here and already have talked about when we will return. James, who handles the rental, was professional, friendly and responsive. A+ all around!

The house is much nicer than the description and photos. Perfectly equipped with all appliances. Beautiful and safe location. We were with an active 2-year-old child and at no point was I afraid when my son walked around the neighborhood alone. The host responds to messages immediately and is always helpful. A great place and I recommend it to everyone looking for a place on Eleuthera.

This villa is in a great central location located directly across from the beautiful Rainbow Bay Beach. It’s a great spot for watching sunset and we even went over with our morning coffee. It’s a few steps down the driveway and across a quiet little neighborhood street. The photos don’t really convey how close it is. You can also relax on the front porch and still have a pretty nice view. The villa itself was very neat and clean and in good condition. Rider, the manager was very helpful and responsive when we had questions and a problem with the a/c which turned out that a lizard had crawled into and blocked the drain pipe. We were very happy to have access to a washer and dryer as we try to pack light and the beach towels always need to be washed. There is a large entertainment area separate from the house that is perfect for hanging out in the evening but we didn’t need to use it with just the three of us. The kitchen area seemed to have most everything with the exception of a sharp knife to cut our limes. We ate all of our meals out so only used the kitchen for making coffee and keeping drinks and a few snacks cold. There was plenty of hot water for showers for our crew of three. The drain was running a bit slow in the small bathroom so we all used the master bathroom for showers. We made Rider aware of if so I’m sure that will get cleared up. Wi-fi and cell service was pretty good and we only had one brief power outage. I would definitely recommend this villa.

No spa I realize I was very late due to pink airline the caretaker was gone fast the owner said talk to caretaker but no number or email given it was stunningly beautiful and the rest was amazing the master bath shower is a treat the beds are great my family and I would happily go again much as I dislike restricted beachs love the house n yard.

Paradise Bahamas Villa and Rainbow Bay was absolutely beautiful! The villa was clean, the kitchen had all equipment that we needed, the beds were comfortable, the outdoor sitting area was nice, the laundry room was perfect and the view was incredible. James our property manager responded to our needs quickly. We had power outages the first few days of our stay but we were told that that is a normal occurrence for the Island.
Rainbow Bay beach is right in front of the house. It was one of our favorite beaches along with Gauldings Cay beach which was about a 25 minute drive. Rainbow Bay beach has umbrellas and picnic tables along with wonderful swimming and snorkeling right outside your front door.
We found 3 convenient grocery stores about 10/15 minutes away from the house in James Cistern and one liquor store. It’s best to bring cash with you because it is difficult to find ATM’s. We found one ATM in Governor’s Harbor which thankfully did work. Places do accept credit but the card readers were down at times. Restaurants are available and all were good but a bit of a drive. We did bring a suitcase full of food based on our last visit to the Bahamas which ended up being a good decision. We found the groceries to be limited and very expensive.
This was our first time to Eleuthera and it did not disappoint! We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to stay at Paradise Bahamas Villa again! It was absolutely perfect for our family!

The house and the location are beautiful! The property is very well-maintained and clean. We appreciated the comfortable beds and fully-furnished kitchen (a rarity with vacation rentals). The neighborhood feels safe and quiet and has several restaurants and a general store nearby with most of what you'll need. The outdoor shower was great for getting the family rinsed off quickly and there's plenty of space to store beach gear. Rainbow Bay Beach was awesome (we had it to ourselves a couple mornings) and I regret not renting a kayak to explore a bit more. Looking forward to next time!

My husband and I stayed here in 2015 for our honeymoon, and was excited to come back and we were so blessed that we could actually stay at the same place 8 years later! It has been totally remodeled beautifully! The pictures do not do it justice! It is so beautiful! We have searched the island over to see if there was any place we would rather rent from, and both times have not seen seen a better location and home anywhere! It is so convenient being centrally located. Each day we explored both north and south, but our favorite beach is directly in front of the house. I thought it might be disappointing not being directly on the beach, but it is so close, literally down the driveway, across a non busy road and you're steps from the beach. We fell in love with the new little park/sitting area above the beach, which was our favorite place to sit and watch the sunset every evening. We enjoyed great snorkeling around the cays out from Rainbow beach. We had no issues at all with anything. The beds were so comfortable! This trip we decided to cook most meals in, and had everything needed to do so once we went grocery shopping. WiFi worked great, as we brought our Roku streaming device. My husband likes his vacay to be laying on the couch watching TV, and cooking meals somewhere clean and nice with a good air conditioner, as I occupy myself with what's available close by, like beaching, snorkeling, swimming reading, kayaking, etc. and that's exactly what this place enabled us to do! I regret not renting kayaks ahead of time for our 11 night stay, but will definitely do that next time! The island is so safe and beautiful, and we absolutely loved exploring all the places we didn't get to on our last trip, and there's still places we didn't make it to! Next time we will try to come a few weeks later so we can enjoy the fresh grown pineapples! Thank you SO much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home! We will definitely want to come back, and hopefully we won't wait 8 years! ♥️

Our family absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Mavel’s place on Rainbow Bay Beach. We loved that it was centrally located on the island and just across the street from the beach so we could go back and forth when needed. My girls loved the tide pools on the rocks and all the little fish. We all enjoyed the beach on the calm days and got use out of our floaties then. Water shoes are a good idea. We checked out many of the other beaches on the island and they all have their own charm, including Hidden Beach, directly behind Rainbow Bay on the Atlantic side. If you like to pick beach glass, this is a great spot too.
The house itself has a great layout. It has been recently updated and is pretty well maintained by Bahamas standards. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had all the things we needed for our stay. In thinking about our stay, there was nothing we were disappointed with and wouldn't hesitate to book this same house on our next visit to Eleuthera. Ryder who looks after the house was more than friendly, as were many of the other part time residents of Rainbow Bay. Excellent start to our vacation.

The location is terrific - very close to the beach and other beaches in the area. The pictures of the house do not do it justice - it is really quite lovely and well maintained.

We enjoyed this property so much! Very comfortable, beautifully furnished. The Kitchen and outdoor grill area had everything you need.
Gorgeous views and the beach is steps away. Locals are welcoming and so helpful.
Definitely a location for making memories! Highly recommend!
Hope to be back soon.
Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great home and amazing location!
We loved our time in Rainbow Bay. The beach is directly across the street from the house making it easy to get back and forth with the kids. We also explored many different beaches, the central location of the home made it so convenient to go both north and south. We will definitely be back!

No better rental in Rainbow Bay!
Awesome experience! I contacted the owners several times and they always responded promptly. When we arrived we had the number to call and James was there within minutes to let us in. The pictures of the house do not do it justice. The beach is literally across the street- 1 minute walk. This also added security during the day as cars were coming and going from the beach parking lot. We had two families. A family of four (kids 8 and 10), and a family of three (with a one year old). The house had plenty of room! We were supposed to have another family at booking but they didn’t come- we still would have been comfortable. The bedroom with the bunk beds can sleep four. There is also another room outside which would be perfect for teens (or adults)as a “hangout”. The front and side open up for beautiful views. There are also huge couches in there- with a full bathroom. I cannot recommend this place enough. We are already planning to come back next year. We did take out from Mel’s and skipped Rainbow… but we mostly cooked. The appliances are all new and great- but make sure you understand the oven! It’s a double and we almost ruined our pizza crust one night. Great location to tour the North and Central. We went from Preachers Cave down to the Island Farm below Palmetto Point.

Lovely and convenient
The property is ideally situated about 1/3rd of the way down Eleuthera and is convenient for sight-seeing and for crossing the road to a wonderful small sand beach. It is quiet and restful since the property is not on the Queen's Highway but located in a small community. Groceries are close by but don't expect a major store. The property is beautiful.
Whatever you do, don't forget the bug spray! Be sure to make a reservation at the Front Porch.
We did have a major problem with a flood from the hot water system in the main house resulting in having no hot water in the house for the week we were there. Fortunately the "gazebo" building on the property had a separate hot water system and a shower (as well as a blessed laundry), so we fared ok except for dishwashing which required heating water up on the stove. The property manager came over pretty quickly but the part had to be ordered in and shipped from the USA and was not there yet by the time we left. There were a few other smaller glitches: the fan didn't work in one room; the screen door was off the track but we got that fixed; none of the knives were sharp. We did leave a detailed list with the property manager and discussed them with him, so hopefully subsequent folks will find these concerns addressed. The owner has offered to discount us when/if we stay again although we would have preferred a rebate of some sort due to the inconvenience with the water. The lighting in the kitchen area was not ideal.
Overall it was a comfortable home for the week. It must remembered that you are on an island with limited resources for addressing unexpected maintenance issues.

Wonderful stay!
We stayed at Paradise Bahamas Villa during the Christmas holidays. The weather was perfect and the sun was hot but not scorching. The only problem is the amount of daylight during that time of year. We wished we had more outside time, as it was absolutely beautiful!
The house suited our family just fine and we loved the outdoor spaces the villa provided. The beds were very comfortable and so is the main living area. The kitchen was ample, however we couldn’t used some more cutlery for cooking and eating purposes. But hey, if that’s the only downside then, you’re doing ok!! 😀
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, we took good care of it and hope others do too. We’re already planning a trip back! We have so much more to see!!

Over the moon - scratch that - rainbow happy with our choice!
Rainbow Bay beach is essentially an extension of the front yard. It is a gorgeous, intimate, barely used beach in a quiet neighborhood.
The house layout makes perfect sense for our family of four. The house had all the cooking, cleaning, first aid, etc. things available. We will book again one day.

Rainbow Bay Stay
Our stay at Rainbow Bay was very enjoyable. House was spacious and pretty well equipped. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. Easy to keep the house clean and organized. It would have been nice to have an outdoor grill, as we cooked several meals at home and would have liked to be able to grill outside. Overall was a great stay.

1000% worth it. You can't ask for more when staying here. The views alone with take your breath away. Property is exactly as advertised and the staff is super friendly and willing to help. Everyone on the the island are super friendly and rarely see that. I would definitely stay here again.

first Bahama trip
The property was lovely, and the beach was beautiful. Freddie was very kind and accommodating. It would have been helpful to know a little more about the area especially because we were first time travelers to the area. We were not prepared to have many places accept cash only - including car rental.

The property was AMAZING and just as it appears in the listing. We had all the comforts of home and the added benefit of a beautiful beach across the street. Everyone was very friendly and helpful during our trip. Looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect Vacation Rental!
Paradise Bahamas Villas was the perfect vacation rental. The booking of the rental was great and well communicated with the owner and Freddie. The owner responded to all the question we had. The house is amazing and has all the modern amenities. Everything you need for a great vacation. The location across the street from a sandy beach was a must for our family vacation and was perfect! The views from the front porch and garage roof were the best for morning coffee and early evenings. Rainbow Beach had several picnic tables and palapas for use, along with great snorkeling. A rental car is a must to explore the island from north Harbor Island to south Lighthouse Point. I highly recommend Paradise Bahamas Villas! We will be back!

Exceeded All Expectations
The photos of the property simply do not do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are wonderfully landscaped, and well maintained. The house itself is perfect for a family, or small group of friends like us (me, my wife, and two of our friends). It was spotless, and has all the necessary comforts to make your stay completely enjoyable. The appliances are all modern, and in perfect working order. The view of the Caribbean at Rainbow Beach (which is literally right across the street) is incredible, especially at sunset. Being centrally located on the island was perfect for us. We made multiple day trips that allowed us to cover the entire island, from Spanish Wells to Lighthouse Beach. The caretaker, Freddie, is very friendly and helpful, and made himself available to assist us at any time. We have all been to Eleuthera before, but this was our first stay at the Paradise Bahama Villa. We all agree that this is by far the best property we have ever stayed at, and hope that our next stay can be here as well. Our sincere thanks for making our stay at Eleuthera our most memorable yet.

Beyond our Expectations
Everything exceeded our expectations! The house was absolutely beautiful, clean, and well-equipped. The pictures don't really show it, but there is a nice out door sitting area. When you are looking at the outside of the house, it's the small little building to the left. That is also where the laundry room and the third bathroom is.
We loved being so close to the beach. If you need a break from the sun, want to make a sandwich, grab a drink, or need to use the bathroom, just cross the street! So convenient! Every evening I would run down to the beach to watch the sunset. Before coming, we didn't know how this beach compared to other beaches on the island, but after going to four different beaches our group unanimously agreed that the one across the street (Rainbow Beach) was our favorite. The locals that frequent the beach also told us that they like this beach the best. We snorkeled around the little island on the left side and saw starfish and many different types of coral.
Stay here. You won't regret it!

This house is brand new and totally renovated and wonderful. Great location with many sites in close proximity. Freddy, the caretaker, is wonderful and is very attentive.

Centrally located, beautiful home.
We enjoyed two weeks at the Paradise Bahama Villa and found the central location and home's amenities provided a great base for exploring the island. Loved the 'cabana room' adjacent to the house for happy hour and quiet evenings. Rainbow Beach is small but enjoyed the easy of access and the convenience of the palapas to provide shade. A rental car is a must to explore the beautiful pink sand beaches of the Atlantic coast. Front Porch restaurant in Hatchet Bay is a delicious gem and LeoRose in James Cistern is fun when the band plays Tuesday and Thursdays. James Cistern is also a great place to buy the dialy catch from the fishermen. Bring lots of deet based bug spray for the no-see-ums at dusk and throughout the evening.

HOUSE WAS IMPECCABLE, LOCATION AMAZING!!! 5 STAR RATING
We stayed for 1 week in Feb, 2019 and planning to return soon. It was the easiest booking we've had. The owner and caretaker got back with us quickly and making arrangements was uncomplicated. The house was beautiful, furnishings very comfortable and high end. The location was perfect and across from a spectacular beach. We travelled around the island quite a bit and we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Modern Vacation Home Across from the Beach 3 bedroom in Rainbow Bay, Eleuthera
Overall great property for a family vacation in Eleuthera. Modern updated home that owner keeps upgrading. Other homes in Eleuthera have older dated homes. Good communication with owner Mavel and caretaker Freddie. In front of and across the street from Rainbow Bay beach. Nice to come home to a calm cove /sandy beach after a day of exploring the many beaches of Eleuthera. I recommend.

Beautiful Home, Attentive Owner & Helpful Caretaker!
This home is in fantastic shape and in a great central location. If you need anything at all Freddie is always available. The owner is very helpful and responds quickly. You cannot go wrong with booking this home. I just hope it is available in the future.

Nice home, but needs some tweeking
We arrived on a Sat only to find the grill is more of a rotisserie with a grill below. Meaning you have to grill on your knees. We, also, had NO propane until Tuesday because Mon was a sabbath holiday in Eleuthera. The toilet seats in both bathrooms were loose & poorly seated. Otherwise, our stay was nice, but not as optimal as our prior stays (~ 6 times) When you list an amenity, it's expected to be there & ready to use. Another nice touch would be TV's in the bedrooms.

beautiful villa across from the beach
We loved our stay at Paradise Bahama Villa. The house is perfect size with all modern appliances. Plenty of sand toys, snorkels and games available. Perfect location across from Rainbow Bay beach. Freddie the caretaker was extremely helpful and sweet. We would definitely recommend it.

The best you will find!
Our family was lucky enough to stay at Paradise Bahama Villa for two full weeks during this past holiday season. As you see from the pictures, this home has been totally updated with tasteful and useful appliances, furniture, etc. The owners are incredibly nice an helpful and the caretaker (Freddy) was responsive and even called a few times to be sure that we had everything we needed. This is the best property on Rainbow Bay in our opinion. The lanai even has a small propane fire pit to sit by and watch the sunset. Everything in this home is top notch and top quality. Don't miss the outdoor shower to rinse off after the a day at the beach which is practically in the front yard. The property is also covered with palm trees and fresh coconuts. Truly happy to have been one of the first to experience the newly renovated and totally beautiful Paradise Bahama Villa. We will be back again and again. We love it! Thanks!
