About this house rental
The Florida Farmhouse, built in 1902, is a 2800 sq ft home located in the Historic District. A five minute walk from downtown, The Farmhouse puts you close to many great restaurants, craft breweries, quaint shops and entertainment venues. A great place to stay if your family or group of friends are in Sanford for reunions, weddings, sporting events, or whatever brings you to Celery City. The Farmhouse has a very open, sprawling layout. The dining room seats 12-14 if you want to get cozy (8 chairs plus 2 benches). The fully equipped kitchen has additional seating for 6. This flows into the centerpiece of the group gathering place- a huge great room with Smart TV and Bluetooth sound system. The home features 2 master suites, 2 bedrooms and a loft. One of the bedrooms has adjoining bonus room for both sleeping and secondary entertainment (it has a trundle bed and a 2nd television). Two very unique and compelling features of this home are the handicap and pet accommodations. There is a handicap ramp that provides access to one of the master suites. The bathroom in that suite has a walk/roll in shower- no curb or tub side to interfere with access, and plenty of room to maneuver. It also has a built in bench, safety rails and hand held shower head. Also, there is a built-in dog kennel- a 3 ft by 8 ft climate controlled, tiled space in the laundry room with a gate. Sanford Paw Park is just one block away and many of the venues downtown are dog friendly. Or- if you want to explore on your own and leave Fido home you can do so, knowing he is tucked away safely in his own little bedroom.

Property is well maintained. Everything was there that is necessary. But could have used more plates that are microwave safe. There were plenty of plates but just not what you put in the microwave. A suggestion to the owners. It would’ve been nice if all the bathrooms had a permanent dispenser for liquid soaps shampoo and conditioners. That way you can top it off after each guest leaves. Because not everyone carries all that as it’s usually available at their stay where ever it may be.
Overall it was a nice pleasant stay. Family enjoyed staying together. It was well supplied with laundry detergent and dishwasher pods.
Five star review!!!

Beautiful old home! Walking distance to downtown Sanford restaurants and shops. We had a total of 7 adults and it worked out perfectly. Large kitchen for cooking, large dining room and living room. Clean and neat. Also a large back deck for cooking and eating outside with a grill

Super nice, clean and spacious. Convenient to many restaurants and services like grocery stores and so forth. Previous guests had left some provisions/non-perishables making our community cooking efforts very satisfying. Would enjoy the opportunity of staying in this property again.

Really cute house built in 1901 with enough renovation to make it super comfortable but without losing the feel of a great house built in 1901. It had way more space and bed than we needed! The bed were all really comfortable. The living room couch also got an A+ for comfort. It is walking distance to Down town Sanford which seems to be having a really nice revival. We ate at the "The Old Jailhouse" which is a must but make a reservation. Great food and amazing setting.
Overall, I would absolutely stay again and the owner was very friendly and open to any communication needed.

The host was always available and replied very quickly, they property is located walking distance to the downtown area. The home is very big, the pictures don’t do it justice plenty of space for all of us, comfortable beds. The house is old but decorated very beautifully.

The farmhouse was very spacious and comfortable, and absolutely delighted our family of 10! We also had two very little ones (15 months and 3yrs old) that could ramble safely to their hearts content. The host was very quick to respond and helpful at all times. Simply wonderful!

Locals wanting to host out of town family for a wedding just blocks away.
Older family members truly benefited from the ramp leading to the bedrooms from outside the home . Also from the walk-in showers
We had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy as were the sofa and chairs.
Susan was an amazing host who communicated quickly to answer questions and a special request.
Overall, very happy we choose to stay at this historic home

Boombah Sports Complex
Property was ideal for our group needs. 4 families in town for travel baseball tourney. FarmHouse had plenty of space and beds to meet our groups needs. Ideal location, steps from the downtown Sanford area for evening activities. Only 15 minute drive to Boombah for games. Will definitely look to Susan for future events..

Better than the pictures.
I thought the place was a great space for our family gathering and we had a good time while there. In particular the shared living spaces were larger than the pictures made them seem with high ceilings and a nice open feel.
My mother spoke directly with the property manager and had a great experience with her. Found her to be very accommodating, especially since it was very hot outside and ensured it was nice and cool inside the house.

Fantastic!
Loved everything about the house and location. Had our family Christmas here and it fit our needs perfectly. Great downtown with a food truck event on Saturday night. Lots of great restaurants. We ate at the Jailhouse and although pricey, quite tasty and neat setting.

Great place for a family gathering in an historic community
This was a fabulous place for a family celebration of upcoming nuptials. The location was within walking distance of an historic city in central Florida. The property provided plenty of space for visiting and very comfortable sleeping accommodations. Sanford, Florida is an historic city on Lake Monroe (of the St. John's River) with lots to do and fun places to eat. The is clean and well maintained, and the owners very helpful.
Try Hollerbach's german restaurant and the river paddle boat cruise. The is a nearby zoo with an adjacent Zip-line.

Wonderful house, great location
Our family stayed here to attend a wedding. The house was perfect for us. Large, comfortable common areas, room for all of us. We loved the way the owners have kept the farmhouse feel but made wonderful modern upgrades. The wedding was just a few blocks away, so location was perfect. Plus, we could walk to downtown Sanford, where there were plenty of fun restaurants, shops, etc. I would highly recommend this place!

Lovely historic farmhouse
We stayed for five nights in the heat of a Florida July, and absolutely loved this place! It is over 100 years old, but so well cared for. Tons of modern updates make it completely comfortable, but the owners maintained the original farmhouse feel and charm. There were eight of us and the place was huge for this many. Both the young kids and my teenagers all had their spots and loved the space to spread out. We loved this place enough we hope to come again another time we visit the Orlando area. It is so comfortable I'd even "commute" to the Orlando attractions from here. It is a little off the beaten path being up in Sanford, but so much more pleasant than the millions of hotel rooms and condos that make up most of the Orlando area inventory. We did not get a chance to meet the owner, but we spoke with her a few times and took her advice on some great places to eat nearby. She was so sweet and helpful with our questions. Honestly, we just really loved our stay here!

Perfect place for a group
The Florida Farmnouse easily accomodated the 12 people we had in our group. Susan was extremely responsive, although we really had no reason to contact them as everytrning was perfect. Plenty of supplies (klithen, laundry, towels and beddings). Oustanding experience!

Wedding Stay
Everything from the very beginning of our inquiry about the property was stellar!!! Susan is the sweetest, so very accommodating, and wants her guests to be happy and to enjoy their stay. The home is beautiful, charming, and immaculate. I can not recommend more highly! It is in the perfect location if you need something close to downtown Sanford. Our wedding was at a venue (520 on the Water) very close by so this was the perfect location. STAY HERE!! You will not be sorry :-)).

STAY HERE!!! You will love it.
What a gem of a house. My family stayed here while in town for a wedding. We could walk to the venue, the historic district and other local businesses. The house is perfect! Plenty of room to spread out, a large table for family dinners, and all the amenities we needed. We look forward to our next visit.
