Best Location in Galveston: family-friendly Jamaica Beach. The beach is literally just steps from the rear of this amazing home! Sit on one of the huge decks and watch the kids play on the beach.
Remodeled in 2024.
This large 2,100 square foot home is unique because its all on 1 level. And it’s located on a large lot (1/3rd acre), so there is lots of room for the kids to play outside while you enjoy privacy, space, & unobstructed Gulf views.
The massive decks, which extend all around this house, are huge - over 1,300 sf of total deck area (with plenty of shaded areas) - so all can enjoy. The main rear deck on the main level is very spacious - 50 ft long & 12 ft deep. That’s 600 sq ft! Ands there’s plenty of shade. Also it couldn’t be any closer to the soothing Gulf waters. Plus there's a large upper "Captain's Deck" with incredible, unobstructed ocean views.
Sleeps 14 (3 kings, 2 Fulls & 6 Twin beds). There are 5 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are very large.
All beds are have newer, high quality mattresses.
This home is located in beautiful and family-friendly Jamaica Beach. You can't beat the location - just 10 mins from Galveston attractions, but in quiet, fun, safe, Jamaica Beach.

There's a BBQ grill for outdoor grilling (bring your own charcoal). Please bring your own charcoal briquettes and please discard the unused charcoals so that the grill is ready for the next guests. And pls don't throw your used charcoals in the yard.
Also, you do not need a golf cart as you are literally only about 20 steps to the beach.
In addition, Jamaica Beach Police frequently patrol the beach, so the beach area is always family-friendly and fun.
The owners have made numerous improvements, including premium vinyl plank flooring; new decks and handrailings; new fascia and soffits; new hurricane windows; new tankless hot water system; new solid core, 5 panel doors; new paint in & out; new textured granite (with a gorgeous peninsula slab); new big screen HD TV (with premium cable/Netflix/Amazon/Xbox One S w/ plenty of games for the kids and teens); Televisions in all 5 bedrooms; imported teak dining table & teak chairs; new lighting; new linens and towels; all premium bedding; fully stocked kitchen; and more.
High speed WiFi /Internet.
Small pets are welcome (under 30 lbs) with an additional, nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per pet. No large pets please.

We had 7 adults and 2 children staying here for 4 days. The view out to the Gulf was incredible. The kitchen was large enough for several folks to work in at the same time. The beds were so comfortable that I wanted to replace my bed at home with the same mattress. The owner, Sabrina, was easy to contact and showed care for us as her guests by contacting us as tropical storm Alberto approached Mexico and storm surge hit the Texas coast. We would definitely rebook this property for another beach vacation.

Decided to go a bit closer and less days with a new 6 month old baby. The house was perfect for our family. We didn’t feel like anything was missing. Right on the beach with a stairway leading to the beach. Didn’t communicate much with host because we didn’t need anything. Loved sitting on the deck to watch the sun rise and sun set. Cooked most meals because it’s hard to take tired out kiddos to restaurants! Wished we booked a few more days! Beds were comfy. Only recommendation is bring bug spray because underneath the house the mosquitos were hungry!

Pretty much everything about this house was great! The owner communicated extremely well forgetting us information and even responded quickly for questions (although most questions could have been answered with the owners detailed documentation if we had read better). The house was clean and ready to go, and the walk to the beach was directly in front of the house. The house is pretty close to the drive on entrance for the beach, which I didn’t realize, so the beach was a bit More crowded, but not terrible. The house is in close proximity to plenty of little tiny stores and only about a 15 minute drive to larger grocery stores. My only real was a change in house set up from what we had initially booked. I spent hours and hours across multiple apps trying to find a house that was both one story and had NO Bunkbeds (which is hard to find) so I didn’t have to worry about following my three year-old around to keep him from getting hurt on things and this house was perfect when we booked it. The kids room had four twin beds and they were all flat to the ground. I was extremely, extremely, extremely disappointed to arrive at the house and find that the kids room had been converted and now held two sets of bunkbeds. It was a great house and we would definitely consider using it again when all of the kids were a little older and less rambunctious. We did feel a little rushed leaving because the cleaner showed up 40 minutes early

Our 2nd time to this property. It is perfect for beach lovers with it being just yards off the beach. Kids and grandkids were steadily back and forth given the proximity to the beach/ water. Look forward to our next stay!

What a wonderful time our family had! The house was just right and we had plenty of room. Great location on the beach and such a nice view of the sunrise. We really enjoyed sitting out on the huge deck in the comfy chairs. The house was spotless and had everything that we could have possibly needed and more. There is a great store right around the corner in case you need anything. Sabrina was very helpful and quick to respond to my questions. Loved it so much that we’ve already booked again for next year!

8 retired teachers celebrating 20 years since first retirement! Galveston is our happy place filled with wonderful memories and now after this visit we have even better ones! Host and hostess were more than helpful—they treated us like guests! We were all comfortable in our own spaces and enjoyed our time on huge porch, comfortable living room and dining table large enough for games. Access to beach was perfect for morning and evening walks. We had everything we needed.

Great stay. Fairly clean. Was missing a few things that we had to go buy: only had one dish towel, no dish rags only a sponge, only 1 extra garbage bag, no drying rack or mat for dishes. But the house was otherwise as listed. Wish we would have been warned about the mice/rats as not a big deal and I’m sure unavoidable but they got into all of our food. Plenty of towels and beach towels. Great view and access to the beach. Great layout for kids!

We absolutely loved our stay Right On The Beach! Sabrina is an excellent host who took care of us from check-in to check out.. honestly, Sabrina made our stay perfect! The house was amazing for our family of 11. The kids room was awesome for the grandkids and with 3 king bedrooms, all adults were very happy! The kitchen is huge, 3 bathrooms is a major bonus too! Obviously, the best is being Right On The Beach! We were in the water every day! We had a blast exploring Galveston. Fabulous restaurants and shopping! We were on a cruise the week before and this was a wonderful way to relax and have some quiet family time before going home! Thank you Sabrina! We will be back!

It’s a beautiful house with a killer view! The rooms were perfect for our family of 9. The kitchen was the center of activity and had amazing counter space. The sectional sofa and large dining table nearby added to the gathering areas. It was an amazing view of the ocean and I couldn’t stop pinching myself that we had the whole house to ourselves for a whole week. The deck was perfect for letting the older folks watch the young’uns frolic out on the beach. We also had s’mores roasted over a fire in our solo stove on the beach. House was so close we could just walk over the dune path if someone needed something from the house. I appreciated the tv in most of the bedrooms for when people wanted to recharge their social batteries. The owner was a gracious host and communicated with us promptly when we had a question. We were all sad to leave.

Beautiful home literal steps from the beach! Incredible porch to watch the sunrise everyday, or to watch the older kids play at the beach. Anything you would need to make a perfect meal for the whole family, the kitchen has! Perfect layout for a family with kids and a playroom with plenty of games and a TV so the kids can watch their own shows/play their own games while the adults do their own thing in the living room. Would love to stay again next year!

Our family group loved our time here. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and we were all comfortable. The location and beach views were superb! The kitchen had everything that we needed, the outdoor deck area had great shade and the upper deck was just great for sunrise and sunset.
The cleanliness factor (3 stars) was two things - the grill was a mess and it took my son an hour to get it into usable condition...and the generous pet policy that the owner has is a bit dicey, as there was huge amounts of dog hair left by previous visitors. We didn't bring a pet. However, the property manager did acknowledge and apologize after I sent pics.
Overall the stay went well and the communications were very good!

We travel several times per year, typically we thrive in the Caribbean; this property was the closest to the relaxation we experience in the islands!
Let’s begin with the most important quality of all, this is communication with the Host. We cannot say enough in praise of Sabrina and her swift response to my many queries, which I feel certain got to be a bit of a pain. Thank you, Sabrina for your professionalism, patience wisdom and kindness!
I can, with all sincerity say that we will return to THIS property for all of our (close to home) vacations. The view is second to none, we sit here (back at home) in withdrawal of this million dollar view!!!!
The home is elegant and the location is an added bonus. We researched several other properties, 33 to be exact, this one responds to our VERY DISCRIMINATING (yes, we may be a bit spoiled) requirements.
The comforts and amenities in the home added to the coziness; it offers a feeling of being right at home.
Just steps from the beach, I know those that choose this property are the envy of all who are spending time on the beach.

We loved our vacation here! We were right on the beach and the house was wonderful. We were traveling with my adult children and grandkids and the game room was fabulous for the kids. There were several beach towels and toys to use. We used the canopy and beach chairs every day. The kitchen was stocked with great appliances , pots and pans and tableware. The large covered patio was spectacular! The only drawbacks were that the beach was public and there is automobile traffic. There were also quite a few jellyfish that made me nervous. Overall was a great vacation and Sabrina was a great host and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again.

RightOnTheBeachVR was the perfect vacation home for my family and me. We had two small children in the house and the property was super clean and very accessible for them. The deck overlooking the beach was the perfect area for them to play without fear that they could wander. Kitchen was fully stocked with needed small appliances and utensils we needed to cook every night. All bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and there was plenty of room for all 14 of us to spread out.
I cannot stress how beautiful and CLOSE the beach was to the home. The entire family was perfectly content with staying here all week since we had the beach so close. Sabrina was very responsive, although we didn't need her for much as the check-in process was seamless and we had no issues with anything else. I hope to be back very soon. Thanks Sabrina!

Let me first say, we have never been able to find a house ON the beach- that aspect alone was just the best! We went on a holiday weekend and we have done a holiday weekend before in Jamaica beach- it’s really crowded and it’s a public beach people can drive on so be aware. The house itself was what we needed. There are 2.5 bathrooms which wasn’t super clear in the descriptions. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s clean and well appointed. The balcony porch is the best part of the house- shaded ALL day long- which was amazing! I’d stay there again, but probably not on a holiday weekend.

We take a yearly beach trip with friends and our kids. We had 5 adults and 3 children (4, 2, and 4 months) and this house was amazing! This was one of the most family friendly locations I have ever been to, the kids room was perfect and the 4 and 2 year old loved it! It had great kitchen supplies, towels, beach toys, etc. My 4 month old is on a very specific formula that with the shortages I can only get in cans, the property manager was beyond friendly and helpful with allowing me to ship some down there so I didn't have to fly with 4 heavy cases of formula.
Just a heads up that cars are allowed to park on the beach, didn't bother us much but we did have to watch the kids more closely while playing on the beach. But also with that the local police really patrol the beach on the busy weekends which made us feel more comfortable.

We love this house. It's immaculate every time, "Right on the Beach". We rented a golf cart this time, and explored and rode on the beach!! Close to town and eating spots!! Not a thing wrong with this place!!!❤️❤️👍

This was our second trip to Jamaica Beach and first time at this location. We absolutely loved the house and it fit our family perfectly. The house is incredible. Our boys each had their own room and loved having a king size bed. The weather wasn't great during our stay but being right on the beach and having a game room made the stay that much better. We would absolutely stay here again!

We were looking for a few days away from home and this property was perfect. Exactly as advertised, clean, comfortable and right on top of Jamaica Beach. Plenty of room for our group 5 and our small dog. Sabrina is a wonderful host and her house is lovely. Would highly recommend.

Overall, we had a very nice stay at this property. We were a group of 14, with ages ranging from under 2 years old to 48, and we also had one small dog in our party. There were some cleanliness issues upon our arrival which we either addressed ourselves or contacted the host who addressed them. I would say the property is overdue for a deep clean and a general maintenance review, but you cannot beat the location and there were no issues that we reported that were not addressed. The host was very responsive, which was greatly appreciated!
Something to note that has nothing to do with the property specifically - we were there the week of Labor Day and the mosquitoes were EVERYWHERE - so if you travel during that time, bring plenty of mosquito repellent.

Large, spacious home with an excellent kitchen and plenty of bathrooms, the appropriately named rightonthebeach was an excellent base for our visit to Galveston. With no pre-walk before our daily walks on the beach and a tremendous view of the beach, we all truly enjoyed our stay at this property and recommend it for anyone wanting to experience the beach as much as possible.

We’ve rented homes on Galveston every summer for almost 20 years. This year, both of our married, adult children joined us with our first grandbaby. We found the perfect home to accommodate all of us.
The house was exactly as described! Sabrina was the ultimate hostess - from initiating communication before we arrived, answering questions while there, and a follow up text after we’d checked out.
The location is wonderful - far enough from main Galveston, but close enough to go into town if we wanted. (But we only did once as there was no need!) The kitchen was fully stocked with everything a cook could need or want, which is perfect as we like to stay in for most of our meals during vacation and we all enjoy cooking. I usually drag half my kitchen small appliances, gadgets, etc, with me. This year, it was a waste of time and space as the house had it all.
We also appreciated the king sized beds with extremely comfortable mattresses. Now, that is above the norm in beach rentals! There is nice bedding and linens, plenty of pillows, more than enough bath towels and even plenty of beach towels.
It’s no wonder this house stays booked! We will be repeat renters for sure!!!
