About this house rental
Our Spacious Oceanside Vilano Beach Home is perfect for family and friends! – Enjoy 3,000+ square feet of indoor space and 1,500 square feet of decks. Our home has fantastic views! There is a short walk to the beach with no roads to cross. On the third floor is a spacious main suite with a king bed, private bath, tiled shower, and jetted tub. Step out from the 3rd floor bedroom onto a private balcony overlooking the beautiful Atlantic!
The main floor has a full kitchen with plenty of seating for 12, access to a large porch, and another bedroom with a King bed and a private bath. The main floor also has a shared bath for guests using the living room, dining area and kitchen.
The lower level includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator and coffee maker, plus three bedrooms with plenty of sleeping space. Two bedrooms are large, and one is small. Bedroom one has a full-sized bed. Bedroom two has two full-sized beds and a twin. Finally, bedroom three has two queen-sized beds. Bedroom two on this level has an ensuite bathroom. There is a shared full bathroom in the hallway for the other two bedrooms.
So, in summary, there are five bedrooms with the following beds: two kings, two queens, three fulls, and a twin. We have a new sofa but it is no longer a sofa bed.
Step outside and follow the path to a semi-private pool, or turn right for a short walk to the beach. Publix is conveniently located across the street for all of your grocery needs! Grab a snack or bottle of wine and enjoy them on one of the many decks.
The center of St. Augustine is a short drive over the bridge, where you will find lots of shopping, restaurants, and history. You can check out the oldest schoolhouse and a variety of churches and tour Flagler College with its beautiful Tiffany pieces. Or step back in time and stop by the Fountain of Youth or the old masonry fort. Take a trolley tour or walk down St. George Street and enjoy boutiques, restaurants, gift shops, and more. There are plenty of water sports and golfing nearby.
Dogs are considered in this home, we prefer small to medium dogs. Please don't book without telling us about your dog and it's size. We rarely allow two dogs and when we do they must be small-mediudm dogs. There is a non-refundable pet fee and guests will be required to sign a pet addendum.
NOTES:
There are four parking spaces available, and there is a shopping center across the road that has additional parking.
Two outdoor cameras monitor the parking area, the lower east side of the house, and the trash cans. They are not security cameras, and Coastal Wave is not responsible for the security of guests, cars, and belongings.
Our home is perfect for families and friends, but special events are prohibited.
We recommend that our guests, for their protection, purchase trip insurance.
Guests will have to climb a flight of stairs to the main living area which includes the kitchen. Our home is not accessible to wheelchairs or people that can't climb stairs as there is no elevator.
The pool is shared between four homes that are part of an HOA community. The pool is not typically crowded and our guests really enjoy using it. It is not heated and there is a small kiddie section.

Nice property with plenty of space and short walk to the beach. Only suggestion is to bring towels if you have a lot of people.

Loved the space for the family and enjoyed the wrap around decks. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach to catch the sun rise and relaxing setting. There was plenty of parking for the family, room to spread out to sleep.

The house was great. We were a group of 7 friends and each had our own comfortable bed. Conveniently located a very short walk to the beach and grocery shopping, an $8-10 Uber ride to Old Town St. Augustine. Nice decks with views of the ocean and well equipped. I would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion is to consider supplying beach chairs and umbrellas, or provide details as to where these can be rented.

Great location… close to St Augustine and restaurants. Right across the street from Publix, a pizza restaurant and a Chinese restaurant. Just a short walk to the beach. We love Vilano Beach. Only downside was some electrical issues with lights not working properly and outlets not working, but we let the property management know after our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was clean, as advertised, and a great location for our large family!

We loved our stay in Vilano Beach. The house was perfectly located and clean and spacious. We loved the proximity to the beach and while it isn’t exactly ocean front it’s as good as it gets. The walking path from the house to the beach is short and so tranquil. Like walking through a path to paradise. The only issue we encountered, which didn’t really impact our stay much, was a little trouble with the TV connections. It was dodgy at times but not a big deal and wouldn’t keep me from booking again. Overall we Loved our stay.

Great stay and location for a family. We had 8 adults, 2 kids. Plenty of space, close to everything in STAUG, ocean views, and Publix just 100' outside your front door makes food/liquor buying a breeze. Just pack your bags and enjoy the moment, made for making memories. If I ever decide to come back to STAUG for another family vacation, I know where I'll be staying.

We are a family of 12 that stayed at this Property over the Christmas holidays. The Property was perfect for our family and we enjoyed the ample space. The balconies were really nice and the views from the 2 Master BRs were great!. Location was great - literally right across the street from Publix, a short walk to the Beach, and pretty close to downtown St. Augustine and all the restaurants and your staple stores (Target, Walmart, etc). Brian was quick to respond to all questions.
There were plenty of dish washer pods and clothes washer pods. Just bring extra trash bags if you plan on staying for more than 2-3 days as they only provide the initial one. Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery/utensils/pots/pans/bakeware/dishes/bowls/glasses/mugs. There were even some pantry staples that previous renters have left behind. There's also family games that we enjoyed (Taboo, monopoly deal, Family Game Night).
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our Family time.

This is about the third time we have stayed at this property for the game in Jax. We had a good experience every time. We will stay here again.

This home needs some TLC. My main concern was an outlet that didn’t have a cover on it. I mentioned a few things to Brian. Someone came out the next day, not at the time we had set up. There was no cover put over the outlet (we had small children). The solution to the MANY electrical issues this home has was to unscrew the lightbulbs… We had to step over tall weeds to get in and out of the home. The floor vents are rusted. There’s a wall decoration sitting on the floor, missing towel rod, missing door handle, a chunk missing from the flooring going up to the second level, and a screw sticking out of light plate. Someone is also feeding cats in front of the house every few days. Good things include the management team’s response time, the location of the home is great, and if you get the third floor room the view is great. Parking is great. Cleanliness was great. There was a minor ant problem but I do believe there are many pest traps in place so I think this is being worked on. Overall, I would not choose to book this property again.

Large house with plenty of space, shared pool to ourselves, and short walk to the beach. Publix directly across the street. Only complaint is the cleaning crew was there when we arrived shortly after checkin time (4pm). Could not access the entire house until around 6-6:30pm. Cleaning crew also came a day before checkout so we had to turn them away.

My family loved our week in Vilano Beach. This house is in a fantastic location - a short walk to a great section of beach. The house was very clean - probably the cleanest rental I've ever been in - and all the beds were comfortable. I think the house could use a couple more lamps and side tables (one of the first floor bedrooms only had a non working lamp in the closet), and the refrigerators and dishwasher have to be close to the end of their lifespan. These are minor things that I did not feel warranted contacting management about during our stay. The cleanliness and peacefulness of the location far outweighed any negative. We loved it!

Good house with plenty of privacy for each room. Awesome for a guys golf trip.

the place was nice and in a good location. the space, pool, and beach access were a plus. Many of the fabrics (couches, carpet, curtains) were dirty and stained. Some of the walls seemed to be in the middle of repair. Except for these things the place was a good choice and was as pictured and described.

We absolutely loved everything about our trip to St. Augustine! The house was beautiful, clean, spacious, and the perfect location. We had amazing views, could walk to the beach in minutes, and the grocery store was just across the road. The beach was never crowded and we enjoyed walking around to the marina to watch the boats and dolphins. The pool was the perfect size too and the kids really enjoyed the pool toys. We can't wait to visit again!

Thanks for a great stay! We're just home from our family beach week at the Vilano Beach House. A week at the beach is one of our favorite family traditions and this large family-sized house is our new favorite. It's really close to the beach (so important with kids and all the necessary beach stuff), well-equipped, very comfortable, with great family gathering spaces, quiet places to get away, views of the ocean, and the added bonus of a second refrigerator. We enjoyed the shared pool (usually the only ones there). The grill was great and we loved having two refrigerators. The fact that Publix was a 5 min walk was an added bonus. Can't wait to come back to the Vilano Beach House.

We had 9 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 pre-teen celebrating as a family 3 of us adults turning 50 this year. The location of this house is great. Easy and quick walk to the beach and just across the street from Publix. The kitchen was well stocked (could use a muffin pan) and beds were comfortable.
Only change to website description is that one of the three bedrooms on the bottom floor has a queen and a double bed and a private bath. Then there’s a double bed in a small room (not really a bedroom as it has no closet). It is around the corner from a full bath. We loved having the second kitchenette area downstairs.
Management was great at answering our questions before we arrived. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

This is our second year we had our family reunion in this house in St Augustine! We love the house, ( perfect for a large family), the beach ( just a few steps from the house) , and the publix across the street. Owner/manager is very easy to contact should we need them! We’ll be back next year!!

When looking for a house for our family trip , the main goals were beach within walking distance and a pool, plus rooms for all of us and our grandchildren. This house has it all. The bottom floor has 3 rooms. Our daughter and her husband, and the grandkids had that floor. It had a small kitchenette. It gave them the room that they needed with 2 little ones. The main floor bedroom was spacious. The kitchen, dining room, and living room area was perfect. The wrap around porches were awesome. 3rd floor suite with private balcony was amazing. Having 2 little ones we utilized the beach and the pool a lot. It was so convenient to have a grocery store and shops, and restaurants within walking distance as well. Considering it was a dog friendly house, it was very clean, no odors . We had a little glitch with the air conditioning the first night and Brian our property manager had it fixed promptly. This was a great house for our family to have our yearly trip together.! Vilona Beach is beautiful, and still a small little beach town, that has not been taken over by a lot of tourists. We walked to the pier every morning, rode our bikes around town. Convenience to get to St. Augustine was a plus as well. We made wonderful memories there, and hope to be back again.

We have stayed in all 3 of the houses in the compound and love them all!! Had an A/C issue upon arrival and they had repair man there fixed within an hour of calling - so wonderful!! We love the easy access to the beach - and the Publix. Will continue to seek out these houses for our annual end of school year trip!

There were eight of us and plenty of room to choose our sleeping accommodations. Very neat setup, three stories, with two master suites. There was a kitchen on the main floor and Also there was a kitchenette on the ground floor which was nice bc of a second refrigerator, and coffee pot! They came in handy. The saltwater pool was great and the walk to the beach was short. If I had a beach wagon, I should have brought it. Publix is just across the street which was super. Very walkable to the marina and various restaurants. Our last night, We ate at the Reef, a couple miles up the street, and that was superb...great atmosphere and great food. We made a great choice to stay at the Vilano Beach house....Loved St Augustine.... well worth the trip.

Despite being 50 yards or so from the ocean, there is no mold/mildew feel since it's been recently remodeled! The top level has a beautiful view of the ocean. Two master suites with king beds, and then the rest of the beds are single/double (no queens) so probably plan for kids to double up in those instead of adults. The owner was very helpful! We would rent from them again.

What a great place for a large family vacation! There were 12 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out. The pool is right outside the back door and the beach is a short walk away. The Publix is within walking distance which was nice when we just needed ice for the coolers. Would definitely recommend!!

Overall the home was very well maintained and supplied. There were a few maintenance jobs that need to be handled: the toilet in the bedroom on second floor has a broken seat, some of the bedroom doors are missing door handles and most importantly the light switches are not matched with the actual lights. A switch is turned on and nothing happens, a switch in the off position turns on a light and visa versa, If you are a person concerned about safety you should be told ahead of time that many locks did not work and a pipe in place was the security.
This home is perfect for several families and proximity to the beach was wonderful. It was nicely stocked with plenty of towels. The dishes were way up high in the cupboard. If you did not have a tall family member or a step stool, you were out of luck.

We had a great time at this property. Plenty of room to spread out, short walk to the beach. Great places to eat and visit nearby.
The house comes with everything you will need for a short stay.
Highly recommend.

The house is spacious so easily accommodates a large group of people. Had everything we needed to cook large dinners and the grocery store being right across the street was very convenient. And the beach just as close makes this a perfect location. A quick drive over the bridge is downtown St. Augustine.

My family had a great vacation here. Right near the beach. The house was roomy and comfortable with lots of room to spread out. The third floor is really cool for some privacy. You can see the waves from the balcony. The floors all looked new and were beautiful and clean. We did find some things in disrepair but they are easy fixes. We had an issue with small ants, but sprayed pesticide and put baits out. That alleviated the issue. We found some used tissues in one of the dresser drawers and a stain on one of the top sheets which was a little gross. Otherwise everything was clean and comfortable. All the initial supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap etc.) were of good quality and plentiful. The appliances all worked. It was as advertised and a wonderful vacation over all. Thank you!

Would definitely rent this property again for family atmosphere, cleanliness, location, beach access. All ages had a great. Publix within walking distance also made it easy to pick up last minute groceries. Loved this property. Management was easy to access and answered questions quickly .

The location was clean and well stocked. Close to dining and a Publix right across the street. We will stay here again.
6.0 / 10.0
The wifi never worked. Broken window treatments, cabinets doors, very worn paint on outside rocking chairs with rust showing. Kitchen was very disorganized. This can be a very nice property if updated.
