About this house rental
Longboards is a beautiful, contemporary home offering spacious open plan living. French doors lead out to the decked terrace and small gravelled garden. From the front, there is direct access to the footpath leading to the beach and it is just a short walk to the village. Now accepting one well behaved dog during the winter months when Croyde beach is dog-friendly!
Dining/Cooking
The open-plan kitchen/dining area is well equipped with Neff appliances including a double oven, hob and dishwasher and dining table and chairs for 8. French doors lead out to the decked terrace and garden.
Living
With ramped entrance for easy access, the hallway leads into the spacious open-plan sitting area with a large wall mounted flat screen smart TV, DVD player and comfortable seating for 8.
Sleeping
The property boasts four bedrooms. On the ground floor is one twin bedroom and a separate shower room. Upstairs on the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom enjoys views over the rooftops towards the dunes and the sea and has a king-size bed with flatscreen smart tv and Freeview. The master bedroom also includes a large dressing area and en-suite shower room. There is a further double bedroom and a twin room.
This property does have a stairgate.
Bathing
On the ground floor of the property, there is a shower room with WC. Upstairs there is a family bathroom with built in bath and a separate shower. The master bedroom also has an en-suite with a shower. There is also a wet room accessed via the garden area for washing off after the beach/hot tub.
Outside
The decked terrace provides an outdoor table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining with gravelled back garden, gas BBQ and hot tub (additional charge).
To the front of the property, there is driveway parking for one vehicle together with unrestricted roadside parking. The garage provides storage for bikes/boards etc and houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. To the rear of the garage, there is a large wet room which is ideal for washing off after the beach and hanging wetsuits.

Use of the hot tub can be added for £200 per week/short break. - Please note, to ensure optimum cleanliness & hygiene of the hot tub, it will be completely emptied and re-filled with water and chemicals on your arrival day. Therefore, the hot tub may not be up to temperature until the morning after your arrival.

The property has EV charging for vehicles, this is paid when you arrive at the property using the designated app which you access by scanning a QR code when you arrive - Charging leads not provided.

Full payment is due if arrival is within 10 weeks. For bookings made 10+ weeks in advance a deposit of 50% plus the £60 non-refundable booking fee is due. The final balance and security deposit (if applicable) is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
For Bookings confirmed with VRBO, Ocean Cottages will take your payment prior to confirming your booking, this could be up to 72 hours after receiving your confirmation from VRBO. If we are unable to accept your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible. Airbnb take payment on our behalf and pay us after your stay, they will confirm the dates and amounts due when you make your booking.
It is not possible to add any extras when booking via VRBO/Airbnb and therefore the costs of any extras will not be included within the price shown, extras must be requested and paid for directly with Ocean Cottages.

Great property with lots of facilities. A few problems with the heating but speedily resolved. Cpuld do with a manual on how to use things. But overalll really good. Will be back.

Great property, finished to a high standard, exactly how advertised. Would highly recommend, great location for the beach and also the pubs and shops. Glad we included the hot tub, perfect after a day of surfing.

A really fabulous weekend at Longboards with family. The house is lovely and kitted out to a really high spec, the hot tub was very popular each evening!

Have stayed here before and although lovely setting/property it now needs a little TLC. TV in bedroom not working, no TV in small twin room, single duvet in king size quilt on double bed, no hooks for any towels/clothing, light bulbs out.
General cleaning good but it needs spruce up all around .

Beautiful Stay
We had the most wonderful stay at Longboards. Unfortunately Storm Eunice hit and we weren't able to do very much but the house was just so perfect that we didn't really need to leave! The house was super clean, the beds were so comfy! We loved the hot tub even in the wind and hailstones! It's really close (a short walk) to the beach, which we did manage one of the days we stayed!
Can imagine that this place would also be amazing in the summer and we would certainly love to return during the warmer months!!

Our family of 8 had a brilliant 6 night stay at Longboards over New Year. The house was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. Clean, contemporary and well equipped. The downstairs living space was sociable which resulted in very special family time. The spacious bedrooms and number of bathrooms meant that we were not at risk of overcrowding! And the hot tub.....an unexpected bonus that was loved by all.
Our holiday highlight was the location of Longboards. 5 minutes down the track lead to the spectacular Croyde Bay and 5 minutes down the road to the pub!
We cannot recommend Longboards enough and hope that any future visitors have as excellent a time as we did. Happy holiday memories!
