Good, great views, but some areas could be improved re overall facilities

Location was great, we had a beach facing room and the view was beautiful especially at sunset. The staff were very friendly, especially when we were having issues paying (it was for sure a card reader issue) but were patient until it was resolved. Clean rooms, nice to have choice of fan and air con, anti mosquito plug in room. Generally a nice place - communal area in bar, comfortable

As mentioned, card reader issues - maybe think of international travellers (and the automatic conversion to GBP is not good for the traveller at all). I resolved this by doing an international transfer via Monzo, which meant I was not paying out more than what I had agreed to when booking. We spent more time (while in Agonda) further up beach using other restaurants/hotels sun loungers and eating there at breakfast and lunch because their overall facilities were better. We had breakfast at the hotel once, which was OK. We had lunch another time and my watermelon and feta salad was a bit ridiculous for the price. Basically a bowl of watermelon, a minuscule crumble of feta and a sprig (garnish) of mint (which was listed as an ingredient). Would be good to have a kettle in the room.

Average, the value for money is quite low.

The location was good, but that applies to all beach resorts in Agonda.

1. The room was overpriced. 2. Food was good, but too expensive especially when compared to any other resort around. How can a simple omelet cost you nearly 300, when everyone else around is offering at 130ish 3. We didn't want bottled water, given we do not use plastic bottles. We wanted regular water, that too filled in our own bottles. Why do I have to given an explanation of the same to every service person. 4. There was no hot water at the bathroom, unless you go and request the staff. In fact the bathroom was nowhere close to what was shown in the photo gallery.

Nice but overpriced for what you get

Nice Location directely on the Beach. Food was good and staff over there really Kind and helpfull. Mosquito net on the bed.

It's a little overpriced there, the Room and also the food. No sun umbrella so there is no possibility to use the only 5 sunbeds at the Beach. Room needs to be updated - cracks and stains on the wall... 2 cockroach in our room.

Amazing and relaxing beach holiday

Food was excellent and a pleasant surprise. Location was great with beach views and convenience stores nearby. Staff was really friendly and always on their feet.

Bathrooms can be better - the walls need painting, there should be some hooks to hang clothes and towels, quality of toiletries can be improved and the washbasin counter can have some shelves. The desk and chair in the bedroom need maintenance - generally these things are in need of a bit of upgrade now.

great place to stay for a relaxing getaway

It is very clean and well kept. The staff is great and very helpful. The restaurant is excellent. Agonda beach is nice and quiet.

Not an ideal holiday experience!!

The location is beautiful, with many good restaurants nearby

The room we stayed in (Upper Sea view room) used to shake every now and then whenever the sea breeze picked up, thereby making it very difficult to relax or even sleep properly

Good place to stay right on the beach, room for improvement though...

We stayed for 3 nights in a sea view hut on the beach and it was very beautiful. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and always willing to help. The dishes that we particularly enjoyed were the chicken tikka wrap, chicken schnitzel and tuna olive pasta.

The rooms are shabbier than they appear in the pictures. Considering you don't spend that long in the room and would prefer to be on the beach, it's not that big a deal but certainly take them with a pinch of salt, particularly the bathrooms. We also experienced an issue with the garden view room that we stayed in on our fourth night where the AC disconnected every 20 minutes or so for 10 minutes, all night, which was quite disruptive. The reception staff can be a bit clueless but they are nice enough

Exceptional

The place is genuine and beautiful, all of us (a family of 17!) relaxed and enjoyed! The best thing about the agonda serenity resort is the staff. All people who attended to us were professional and kind. And the view! The view is worth a million dollars.

better off avoiding

the working staff here are nice

very unhappy with the management, we stayed for 2 weeks at full tourist price and made to move rooms. the bathroom smelt so bad that it would wake us up in the middle of the night you would be better off avoiding this place

Overall good experience

The beach is extremely close to the beach. the rooms are also good.

the restaurant is a bit expensive.. the chicken burger we had was great, the omlette, coffee and the pizza were good. the stary dogs sitting near the tables on the beach were a buzz kill.
