Très belle expérience! La ryad est magnifique et l'accueil chaleureux. Nos hôtes ont été plein de petites attentions et nous ont réservé un guide pour la visite de la ville. Le repas proposé était délicieux et copieux avec des plats traditionnels. A tester absolument !
Nous reviendrons sans hésiter!
Rien à signaler.

Beide erg goed verzorgd

Really lovely Riad. By far the best we have stayed in during our visit to Morocco. The hostess is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is superb and I would definitely recommend eating dinner here too. The food is delicious and varied.
The decor is traditional and very well maintained. We initially only booked for 2 nights but extended our stay for another 2 nights and would not hesitate to return. I real home from home.

Riad joliment décoré. Tout dans cette maison est pensé avec goût. On s'y sent comme chez soi.
L'aménagement et la décoration sont soignés.
La literie est très confortable.
Le diner est succulent, servi par des hôtes charmants.

The host here is absolutely lovely, she welcomed us into her home and gave us a lot of background information about the area, the building, and Morocco in general whilst her son filled out paperwork for us. The Rhiad itself is gorgeous and very well maintained and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast was also excellent.
We were travelling in July and as heat sensitive brits the lack of aircon at night meant we were sweating rather a lot, just something to bare in mind if you’re after a cold nights sleep.

Great central location. Parking near by but wasn't easy to get to which was our fault for taking the back roads. Breakfast was great and Jiz is a fantastic host, (apologies if the spelling is incorrect). Nothing was too much trouble and she gave us some great tips on getting around and the history of the place.
The bathroom was a bit small and there was no where to put your toiletries.

On arrival we were met by Abdu who advised that we could park the motorbike just in front of the house which seemed a safe place. They have CCTV on that area. The house is full of Moroccan character. We were the only guests during our stay so the house was very quiet which added to the relaxed atmosphere. The room was small but cosy enough. Comfortable beds.
Later we met the owner Ghislaine and confirmed the organized tour for the following day that had been arranged by her husband.
In the morning we enjoyed breakfast in the sunroof terrace which consists of barley grits soup (Hssoua Belboula), cake slices, moroccan breads, marmalade and cheese wedges with, in our case, coffee with milk.
They stored our bags for a few hours whilst doing the tour which we really appreciated.
The tour was not organized with an official guide and still they charged us the official rate which is 30EUR.
As the guide was obviously scared of coming across police officers he couldn't take us to the most important sites such us the mausoleum. When asked he said it was closed and opens at 3pm. I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry for the audacity of Moroccans and the way they conduct themselves and conduct business.

Nice staff
Stayed three nights and No room cleaning at all! Not even taking out the bins! No towel changes, had to ask for toilet roll as only one supplied. Most people probably only stay one night but for us it was not ideal. Bread at breakfast was not fresh. Only given one omelet to share-not even yoghurt, only inedible bread. Very disappointing. Impossible to find. We got lost every single time we went out. Internet useless. Meknes is a one night adventure-as we learned the hard way. 😭

The house looks beautiful, it's so full of handmade decorations and furnitures that it's like a museum. It really gives the feeling of staying inside a traditional Moroccan house, plus the area is very silent at night. The owners did a great job with it, and they are very kind. I wish I could stay more days :)

The best accomodation we had on our trip through Morocco!
Room and bathroom was clean (windows are to the inside of the Riad, but that is the traditional old Moroccan style). Whole Riad is very stylish and well decorated. Moroccan breakfast was also really good. The host is very nice and we had an interesting chat.
We were there only one night because of our busy schedule:)

We were downtown, searching on our phones for the route to the riad, when a lady kindly asks us if she could help. By chance it was the lady of the riad who coincidentally walked there. She walked with us and gave us the most warm welcome you can imagine, including a historical tour through the riad and tea on the terrace. The riad is so lovely decorated. The bed and bathroom are great. The riad is very close to all the sights in Meknes. Because of an early flight we had to leave really early. The riad arranged a taxi perfectly on time with a breakfast to go. What a lovely stay!
The fact that we were only there for 1 night ;-)

It was a great pleasure to be hosted in this Riad from Ghizlane. She gave us an overview of Moroccan culture, starting from the Riad itself. The Riad is located in a strategic position and is super silent. Breakfast is fresh and homemade, we loved it. I totally recommend to stay here if you're looking to stay in a place which gives good vibes and to get to know a person like Ghizlane who loves what she does. Last but not the least, ask the host to dine there.

Beautiful preserved grandfather's house in the old city of Meknes, close to everything of interest.
The couple who own the place put a lot of loving care into it and it shows.
I loved the rooftop terrace for viewing the sunrise and sitting reading in the sun.
Ik you have the opportunity to take your dinner there, please do!! The lady must be the best cook of Morocco! Breakfast is great as well.
The rooms have heating which we happily used due to cold weather.
Thank you very much for making our stay so happy!

The owners of this recently renovated family Dar are most welcoming. They have given thought to practical, as well as stylish, aspects of the renovation. The house is full of interesting antiques artistically displayed. The location is both interesting and convenient.

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful hosts - Ghizlane and Samad for their hospitality and kindness. WHAT A TREAT we enjoyed! We spend the night of the 31st of December in this beautiful Riad and could not have wished for anything better: SUPERB welcome; BEAUTIFUL rooms and AMAZING dinner. We hope to come back to Meknes in the not too distant future; we already know what our accommodation will be!
SIMPLY BRILLIANT!!

We had a grreat time at the wonderful riad which is lovely decorated in traditional Moroccan style. The lady and her daughter are very nice hosts, who showed us how to navigate to the maze of the Medina and how to easily find back to the riad. In the evening she prepared a delishes meal for us and gave us a deep insight in real Maroccan life and rituals. Thanks for that great experience. We abslolutly recommend this riad for your stay in Menkès. We hope, that we will have the possibility to come back.

The couple running the place is absolutely amazing, they are extremely friendly and willing to help. This is, in my 30+ years of travels, the best place I ever stayed, thanks to the owners, who really make you feel like you're part of the family. The guest house is a gem of traditional Moroccan decoration, the room I occupied was tastefully decorated, the bathroom spotlessly clean, as the rest of the premises. Foodwise, the lady of the house is a fantastic cook, I had several evening meals there, everything was perfect. The place is very quiet and allows decent sleep.
Just for the sake of argument, slow wi-fi speeds.

The owners of the Riad are very friendly! They take the time to explain the history of Mèknes and the sites you can visit. We loved our conversations with them about their country and city. The Riad is very beautiful and the location is perfect. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Exceptionally welcoming hosts in a traditional riad who seem genuinely more interested in cultural inter-change than to profit, and in the authentic setting of an immaculately-maintained riad, managed by this family for generations. The location deep within the old palace complex is a short taxi-ride from the station but you will need a guide to get you to the front door the first time. Highly-recommended.

Words are too short to express our gratitude to our hostess Gislene. We had arrived in Meknès sick, but she took care of us like a real nurse. Calling the doctor, going to the pharmacy, nothing was too much for her.
Without her, we would not have survived.
Special thanks to the domestic help Kalima.
We can highly recommend this riad!

The best riad we stayed in during a 2 week trip to Morocco. Absolutely astonishing building with a lot of history on the one hand but modern amenities on the other hand due to full renovation a couple of years ago.
If you are interested in history, the owners will more than happily share the history of the house, of Meknès and of Morocco with you. The riad is filled with antiques.
Most importantly, the owners are absolutely lovely, honest and good people. During our stay we felt pretty much like family. They made sure we have everything we needed. They made their dream of their own Riad come true a couple of years ago and you can see that they put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into their project. You can feel by talking to them how they are still super excited and passionate. Lots of positive energy! The home cooked meal was magnifique.
Thank you so much!
Only minor thing (and not even owners fault!): Google maps has the wrong address and will lead you to a pharmacy close by. We just asked a random guy in the street who led us to the right address. Problem solved.

We spend only one night in this Riad, but we wished we stayed longer. It was one of the best Riad experiences we had in 2 weeks of morocco. The hospitality, cleanliness and food were unmatched. We felt like at home with Rhizlenne as host. We enjoyed the conversations and the chill atmosphere. I 100% would recommend this Riad to everyone.
