Beautiful room with outstanding and helpful staff

Absolutely beautiful room with comfortable bed and extremely kind and helpful staff. Good area with a few restaurants around, good facilities at the hostel.

The bathroom was absolutely tiny. Difficult to use the toilet due to its position in the room, shower pressure next to nothing.

Nice place in a good location. Small so don’t expect ‘hostel’ vibes from it.

Good location and nicely decorated rooms. They have someone near the entrance at all times so it felt very safe.

I don’t think it should call itself a hostel, It’s a hotel with only 6 rooms. Don’t expect any mingling with people as the set up doesn’t really allow for this. The bathrooms are very small.

Nice property, rooms are nice. Location was decent, 5-10 mins taxi to restaurants. 20 mins to beach

Bed was uncomfortable it squeaked everytime you moved!! The air con was so so loud! And bathroom was tiny you could hardly move

It was good for an overnight stay.

The place is just road side so it’s near to the beach and restaurants. Rooms were clean and just have enough room space.

Bathroom was quite small and could’ve provided ambient lighting to the rooms.

Cute and comfortable!

We really enjoyed our stay and Sand1. Its is clean, comfortable with good working AC. Across the street there is beach access which was a great place to watch the sunset. Motorbike rental is also available onsite as well as water refill

Occasional sewer smell from the bathroom but once the air was circulating we didn't notice it.

Amazing hostel!!

amazing location close to beaches and restaurants. we were able to rent a good scooter. love the style of the hostel. clean and comfortable rooms. wifi was very good. staff are lovely and very helpful. would definitely recommend and stay again!

nice beach with perfect sunset just across the hotel

the owned helped me reload my mobile phone data, also we can rent scooter from the hotel. strategic location just across the beach that was good for sunset, many good restos and bar nearby.

much like everywhere else in the PH, small beds that barely accommodate 2 people, WiFi is not that strong, small bathroom

The owner and staff were all nice. Location is super good. Just swim on the sea across the hostel, way better than Paliton beach. Super affordable and decent room.

Beautiful view from the balcony

We just stay 1 night because they were fully booked, but we had time to enjoy and appreciate the place. The location is amazing, close to everything, and the balcony has a really nice sea view!

Staff was really helpful and friendly. Motorbike available at the property for rental.

Only negative was that mosquito net on the windows has some holes and got bitten a little bit.

perfect, fun, memorable!

the location was accessible, the owners were there. we spent Christmas in the hostel and the owner had a little celebration for her guest and made salo salo during noche buena. we rented a motorcycle as well since they have motorcycle for rent. overall stay was perfect! wanna go back next year.

Disappointing due to electricity problems.

The room was very clean and tidy - the bed was comfortable. You can rent bikes from the hostel and make the short drive to the lovely local beaches.

We stayed for three days and the electricity went every single day - we were sitting in total darkness for hours at a time with no AC or WIFI. The first night the whole area was affected but the second night it seemed to be just the hostel - the electricity supply should be looked at as I don’t believe you can charge guests for accommodation that does not have electricity. The bathroom is also quite possibly the smallest I have ever seen - I am 182cm and my knees were touching the wall when I was in there.

Cozy home away from home.

I loved the cozy feeling and vibe of Sand 1 hostel. I stayed there for a week and travelled by myself. The location is near lots of restaurants. There’s a quiet beach in front of the property too! They have a small garden area where you can barbecue and also use the kitchenette.

Good location with clean and comfortable rooms

We got moved to the family room for no extra price which was amazing as the room. was so big and spacious with two big beds. The room was decorated really nicely and both the room and bathroom were very clean. The bed linen smelt lovely! Walkable distance to some bars and restaurants and scooter hire from the hostel was 400/day. Overall a great stay!

Quick overnight stay before we leave. OK for the price.

Great location ( bar and restaurants across and nearby) and decent looking room since it is affordable price.

Bed Sheets could be better. They could also brighten up the lights in the room.

Really nice place to stay

- The location is near everything, it’s really practical - Rooms are really nice for the price

- Don’t expect a beach in front of the hostel. It might have been the case before, but now there is some building being built. - The owner and people working there could be more helpful about the things to do in the island. It’s also one of their “jobs”. It was hard to obtain good recommandation to eat. As for the things to see on the island: the waterfall they told us about had been close for at least four or five months, and the beach was not good at all.
