Pelican’s Nest: Location – Location – Location…! This beautiful just-renovated 2-bedroom apartment is right across the street from the sugar-white sands of the beach. Step outside your door or view through your windows and you see the glimmering waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The apartment sleeps six and features two bedrooms each with a queen size bed, a living room that has a futon-style couch that converts to a queen size bed, and a breakfast area with a small table and a kitchen island-style cabinet with various appliances. There is a full bath and another half bath, two closets, and in-suite washer & dryer for laundry. Just bring your bags and enjoy a fun filled getaway that is located on peaceful, safe, yet happening and never-boring-unless-you-want-it-to-be Sunset Beach on the southern tip of Treasure Island, Florida.

Outside the apartment is a deck with a table and seating area and a lush tropical feel that welcomes you back from the beach with some cool shade from the Florida sunshine. There’s also an outdoor shower area to rinse off. And located minutes from historic downtown St. Petersburg and area attractions including MLB baseball, the Dali Museum and much more, you get the best of both city and beach living. Downtown Tampa / NHL hockey / Tampa Aquarium / Busch Gardens etc. are all within easy reach (~ 45 min), as are Orlando area attractions (~ 2 hrs).

The breakfast area features a refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster, and toaster oven. And a blender to make your favorite frozen cocktails. Or throw a steak or some seafood on the outdoor grill in the adjoining courtyard (btw, I’m a marine biologist and work for a major local seafood company by day – ask me anything about local seafood 😊). If you prefer, there are numerous restaurants within easy 1-5 minutes’ walk including famous Caddy’s On The Beach, Ka-Tiki, Taco Bus, Sea Dog Brewing Company, Sea Hags Marina Bar & Grille, Shrimpy’s Blues Bistro, Carino’s Italian Cuisine, and others.

Or hop on the affordable Suncoast Beach Trolley and head up to popular John’s Pass Boardwalk and Shopping Village just five minutes north on the other end of Treasure Island. This quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village features over one hundred merchants with unique retail shopping, fishing fleet, dolphin & sunset cruises, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Restaurants there include Gators, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Hooter’s and many more. You just can’t go wrong either way!

For your convenience, back on the property, there is a room with front-loading washer and dryer in your apartment for your private use, and there is an on-site parking space if you arrive by car. You’re on vacation, so nothing should be hard!

The place is adorable. Plenty of room and two bathrooms. Having a washer and dryer right in the unit was fantastic and made our stay so easy. The location was amazing! Directly across from beach- beautiful water and the sunsets can’t be beat. Caddy’s and katiki are right there for food, drinks, live music and a super fun atmosphere. Treasure island has so much to offer! Fredrik was extremely helpful and couldn’t be nicer. I will definitely be back

Overall the stay was great! Would have loved a vent in the bathroom so it didn't steam so badly. Washer and dryer in suite was awesome. Very easy to communicate with. Great stay.

The 2 bedroom condo is in a great location and offers a nice space. The neighborhood was fairly quiet and we felt safe walking around. It is directly across from Caddy’s on the beach and that was a nice bonus. The host was quick to respond when assistance was needed. He was friendly and made us feel at ease and comfortable.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The location? 10/10. Cleanliness? 10/10. Communication with property owner and their friendliness upon checkin? 10/10. Parking RIGHT out front, MAJOR bonus. We just left this morning and my kids are already asking when we can come back to stay at this exact apt. And we definitely will. Our stay was perfect!!

We met Fredrik as soon as we arrived. He is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Take time to have a chat with him. There is parking for one vehicle for the unit, which is VERY IMPORTANT in this area. There is very limited parking in the entire area. Having laundry in the room was a plus for us. This was the tail end of a 2 week road trip so we took advantage of that. Bedrooms are roomy and comfortable and 2 Bathrooms, another plus in my opinion. View of Sunset from porch, but a stones throw from the Beach. Caddy's Beach Bar and Ka'Tiki are within yards and many other options within walking distance. Thank you Fredrik for a wonderful stay!

If you want to stay close to the beach with plenty of things to do within walking distance this is the place for you. My family had an exceptional experience here. I would defiantly stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone. It was perfect for us, and the host was very attentive.

This property is across the street from the beach and two bars that often have live music, but the music wasn't an issue once we were ready to hit the hay. Our host was great - he re-stocked supplies that we needed, and even supplied a power cable while we were working from home! Comfy beds, a big shower, and full sized washer and dryer made for a great stay.

Had the pleasure of staying at this property this past week and it is the perfect spot for a couple getaway! It is the cutest place that is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. It is right across the street from the beach in a beautiful neighborhood. The property manager Fredrik was so nice and sweet and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back here again for another week in the future!

The owner is a really nice guy and very helpful. His kids (I think) helped with my luggage and some techie stuff. Can’t beat the price and I was pleasantly surprised by the place. No bugs which made it a big plus as it can be common with beach property. Public beach across the street. Caddy’s restaurant there too (nice place). I’d definitely stay here again!

While the property is owner is a nice and respectful person, the property had roaches which I had mentioned to the property owner. He sprayed bug spray which made the unit smell like chemicals. Furthermore, the roaches returned in the middle of the night. While it is not uncommon to get roaches in this area, this seemed more like an issue since there were quite a few. It completely ruined my time here and I never quite felt comfortable.

I enjoyed the fenced in area for my dog and being across the street from beach. Neighborhood was nice to walk in too. If you like being near all the action at the beach, this is the place. Nice to have a kitchen too.

Because of Covid-19 and so many cancellations, we stayed at the same property, but a different part of the house. Originally scheduled to stay in the one-room apartment, instead we were offered the two bedroom apartment at the back of the house which included the top floor covered deck with a beautiful view of the gulf coast and sunsets. We had everything we needed for a lovely stay, and a visit from Fredrik and family - sweet people for sure!
