Two separate smaller apartments for 2 people (plus 1 child) object no. 5337954 and for 4 people (2 adults and 2 young people) object no. 759758 are also available here.
All apartments have a fully equipped kitchen with salon, CD radio and internal satellite TV. The apartment 3 has three double bedrooms each with fitted wardrobes, two modern bathrooms with shower / toilet, sun terraces with loungers, tables and chairs, a large clear freshwater swimming pool with counterflow system and wide, fantastic sea views. A practical, shared barbecue area as a BBQ is located below the pool. Here you will feel comfortable and spend a wonderful vacation.
From the pool and the sun terraces, you have a panoramic view over the beach and sea and over the bay of Ferragudo to the marina of Praia da Rocha. And the old Sao Joao do Arade Castle is your direct neighbor. The sandy beach of Praia Grande with its good localities is right on the doorstep and the romantic town center of Ferragudo is only a short walk away. Here you will find everything you need for everyday needs, as well as other local restaurants and good restaurants. Apartment 3 in Vila Monte Luz is located on the outskirts of old Ferragudo and opposite the historic Castelo Sao Joao do Arade directly on the fine sandy beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The vast natural bay 'Praia Grande' with its extensive sandy beach is well protected by the offshore breakwater. There are two local restaurants and two popular beach bars on the beach, as well as many sports facilities. An attractive children's playground is just below on the sea beach - from the pool or from the restaurant terrace the 'little ones' can be wonderfully watched and are safely occupied and accommodated there.
Ferragudo itself is an old fishing village with enchanted alleys and old buildings in the typical Algarve style. A short walk takes you from your apartment to the market square with cafes and shops and on to the small harbor with its fish restaurants and bars.
On the other side of the bay is the lively city of Portimao and Praia da Rocha with its attractive marina, promenade and many shops, where numerous restaurants, bars and night clubs not only 'go out of business' at night. In the season you can comfortably take the water taxi from Ferragudo from e.g. B. sail to the pier of the new marina. From there you can continue shopping .....

Ideal beach location next to a Fort and three restaurants. Little town is about a 12 to 15 minute walk. So many little areas to drive to eat and walk around. Very hilly when walking. Parking in the little towns takes patience and usually need to walk a little. The pool overlooks the beach. Pool is not heated so all water is pretty chilly, but felt good as hot as it was there. There are pill bugs or roly-poly’s all over the hiking trails and they also get into the house when it’s super hot, but not a big deal. Air conditioning was a big plus. Full-size refrigerator. They also have a rooftop veranda that we hung out at a lot. Great hosts who were on site. This was our favorite location out of the 8 we stayed in this trip.

Steps from the beach! Beautiful villa with restaurants/bars within waking distance. Or a very short drive into town. Everything you need to cook. There is a pool and nice shared outdoor space and washing machine. Private gated parking area. Very good communication with the host. Make sure to bring all your own toiletries. The beach is the largest I have ever seen. Lots of other cute beach towns nearby you can drive to as well.

I can't say enough great things about our stay at Maria's villa in Ferragudo! Our apartment was very clean and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and plenty of blankets, linens and towels were provided. The kitchen is small but adequate to cook meals for our 4 person family and had the cookware we needed. The pool area is beautiful and the location can not be beat - literally steps from the beach! Maria and her daughter were very responsive, warm and friendly hosts. We hope to be back sometime soon and highly recommend all around!

Fantastic location

Adorámos as nossas férias. O apartamento é muito bom, cozinha com equipamentos de qualidade e tudo o que é necessário. As zonas comuns (jardins, piscina, churrasqueira, lavandaria) bem cuidadas.
A localização é fantástica, mesmo em cima da tranquila Praia Grande com o seu vasto areal.

Top Ferienwohnung ist traumhafter Lage
Trotz corona wollten wir einen entspannten Urlaub mit der ganzen Familie machen (junge Erwachsene bis Großmutter). Die Bilder sahen schon toll aus und dennoch waren wir bei Ankunft nochmals positiv überrascht worden. Super sauber (vorbildlicher Umgang mit Hygiene zu coronazeiten), toller Ausblick und vorallem die Terrasse mit Pool ist ein Highlight. Für uns der perfekte Aufenthalt für einen ruhigen und entspannten strand/poolurlaub.

Can't get over how great this place is. Location is fantastic,, everything is handy, especially the beach. 4 beach bars within a 2 minute walk, and the local village is only a few minutes as well.
We have just come back after staying there with family (14). Cleanliness was great, absolutely no issues at all,, pool is very clean and the view is amazing.

Perfect, Great property in a superb location
This Villa was everything and more. Ideal location with fantastic views. Lovely pool and great company with the guests in the other two villas. We even had a joint BBQ which was good to bring all the adults and kids together. Well maintained and had everything we needed.

Lovely stay in Ferragudo
We had a fabulous stay in this apartment! My husband and I and our 3 daughters, ages 15 - 21, fit perfectly. The view from the pool area is magnificent. We felt safe and secluded behind the gated entrance. Choosing between the lovely pool area (where I loved to have my morning coffee overlooking the beach), the expansive beach that was never crowded and the selection of restaurants/cafes right down the stairs from us truly spoiled us on our Portugal vacation. The home itself was clean and comfortable. The only recommendation I would make, thus the 4 stars, is the comfort of the mattress in the master bedroom. It seemed a bit sunken in the middle and I felt like I had to sleep towards the edge of the mattress at night to avoid rolling into the middle of the bed! Also, more comfortable/fluffier pillows would be heaven. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, however, because the location, cleanliness, and comfort of the rest of the villa were superb!

Fantastic location!
Nice apartment for a family. The pool and sun terrace were enjoyed every day. We also used the barbeque. The beach and the restaurants nearby were perfect. I really recommend a stay at this lovely property. The location can not be better!

Lovely flat with a great location - we really enjoyed the stay
The location is perfect especially with a toddler, you are on the beach in 1 minute and the beach is nice and long.There are lovely restaurants nearby.We also enjoyed using the BBQ for early evening meals.Maria is a great host and Sandra is very helpful.All in all the perfect holiday!

A large Lidl is a little further out of town (+10mins).Not much of a bar scene however Ashleighs bar is a small place with a big welcome. The beach is vvv quiet with a couple of Nice places to eat. Club Nau has good food especially if you like Sushi (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED). As well as a nice traditional menu. If you are looking to relax in an idilic spot that's not overcrowded then this is it. Traumhafte Lage und Aussicht
Vila Monte Luz ist traumhaft gelegen und sehr gut ausgestattet (neue Bäder, Küchengeräte incl. Mikrowelle + elektr. Orangensaftpresse etc.). Von den Wohnungen selbst sieht man nicht auf das Meer, jedoch von der großzügigen Terrasse beim Pool, auf der man z.B. auch schon frühstücken kann. Der Strand vor Ort war im Juni kaum besucht und abseits der Sonnenschirme quasi leer. Über die Klippen am linken Ende der Bucht kann man in wenigen Minuten zu den nächsten Buchten oder Stränden wandern. Der Ort Ferragudo mit Geschäften und Restaurants ist ebenfalls in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Kalu Beachbar gleich unterhalb der Anlage hat die besten Burger weit und breit und einen klasse Sangria.
Was uns auch gefallen hat: Grundlebensmittel wie Salz, Zucker, Essig, Öl, Kräuter usw. ist vorhanden und muss nicht von jedem Bewohner gekauft und dann halb entleert entsorgt werden. Auffüllen ist natürlich Ehrensache.

AMAZING views!
While you can’t see the water from inside the apartment, walk five feet outside the door and you’ll find yourself admiring panoramic views that include the ocean, beach, city, and even the caves. If you choose to step up to the terrace on top of the building, you can see even more! We couldn’t believe how close we were to the the beach and restaurants. The Hideaway in particular quickly became a favorite destination for us at mealtimes. Kalu beach bar has great coffee, comfortable and unique seating, a wonderful view, and even some board games if you’re so inclined. The apartment is very comfortable for 6 adults. We were sorry to see the end of our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Amazing location and very comfortable accommodation!
We were met by Maria who stays upstairs in the property and Sandra who looked after us (and spoke good English) throughout our week. The accommodation is as shown and was ample for our party of 4. The pool and terrace were used throughout our stay and thoroughly enjoyed. The town was 10 minutes walk away and very pleasant in the evenings. We had a lovely holiday really enjoyed the beach which is safe for small children and Club Nau on Sunday afternoon as they have live music.

Traumhafte Lage, übertrifft sogar die Erwartung!
Wir können uns nur den super Bewertungen zuvor anschließen. Selten kommt man im Urlaub an und fühlt sich sofort total wohl bzw. die eigenen Erwartungen werden noch übertroffen.
Die Anlage ist genauso wie beschrieben, und dank der sehr sympathischen Angestellten Sandra und Valentin auch in top Zustand. Von der Lage her geht es eigentlich nicht besser. Direkt oben auf der Klippe mit Blick über die tolle Bucht, zum Stand nur die Treppe runter und dort 2 Restaurants und 2 Bars in unmittelbarer Nähe (Club Nau sehr zu empfehlen).
Der Ort ist auch nur ca. 10 Min. zu Fuß entfernt, und hat noch den Flair eines Fischerdorfes. Aber in der Nähe gibt es genügend weitere Buchten und Ortschaften, so dass hier wiklich jeder auf seine (Urlaubs-)Kosten kommt.
Wir waren in der FeWo 1 untergebracht, mit toller, gehobener Ausstattung (neu renoviert). Wenn man überhaupt etwas neg. erwähnen kann, dann nur das etwas träge W-LAN (wichtig für die Kids) und das die FeWo 1 direkt (wohl gleiche Mauer) and die Nachbarvilla angrenzt. Das war dann zuweilen leider zu hören. Aber schmälerte unseren überaus positiven Gesamteindruck überhaupt nicht.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

wunderschöne Anlage und Wohnung an perfekter Lage!
Wir (4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder (2 und 5)) haben unsere zwei Wochen Sommerferien in der FeWo3 Vila Monte Luz verbracht. Es war ein Traum! Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und grosszügig für nur 3 Appartements. Das Eingangstor ist immer verschlossen und somit nur für die Mieter per Schlüssel zugänglich. Die Lage könnte man als VIP Lage beschreiben. Viele Portugiesen reisen jeden Morgen mit dem Auto an diesen wunderschönen Strand wo die Anlage nur wenige Treppentritte entfernt ist. Der Strand ist durch zwei Wellenbrecher im Meer etwas geschützt und ich hatte das Gefühl dadurch auch nicht so kühl wie am Atlantik erwartet (23-25 Grand). Die FeWo3 hat super Platz für 6 Personen mit Wohnzimmer und offener Küche wo alles hat was man braucht. In den Betten kann man gut schlafen und alle Zimmer sind separat klimatisiert. Das WLAN funktionierte auch. Ab und zu verloren wir das Signal je nach dem wo man sich befand. Mehrmals pro Woche kommt ein Umgebungspfleger und eine Haushaltshilfe in die Vila Monte Luz und schaut zum Rechten. Sehr liebe Leute und extrem Kinderlieb! Wir haben mehrmals den Grill benutzt. Es war jedes Mal ein tolles Erlebnis in einer so schönen Vila ein Barbecue zu machen mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick aufs Meer und den Strand! Am Strand hat es erstaunlich wenig Leute. Der Sand ist sehr fein und absolut perfekt für Kinder. Rund um den Strand hat es vier Restaurant (der Club Nau und die Bar Escondidinho ist sehr zu empfehlen). Zu Fuss erreicht man in 10 Minuten den Mini Market in Ferragudo der offen hat ab 8 Uhr. Zu Fuss kann man je nach Wasserstand am Strand entlang oder oben durch die Fischerstrasse von Ferragudo mit sehr guten Fischrestaurants (Sueste, Tasca Borda do Cais und Ria) erreichen. Von dort ist es zu empfehlen mit dem Wassertaxi nach Portimao Marian oder Portimao Museum zu fahren. Ein must Erlebnis. Aufgrund der vielen Möglichkeiten die man hat kommt es fast selten zu einem Zusammentreffen der Mieter. Dies gibt ein super privat Gefühl.
Rundum ist die Vila Monte Luz eine Perle an einer perfekten Lage!
Für uns gab es keine negativen Punkte.

Just as wonderful as the first time
Our second time in Vila Monte Luz, just as wonderful as the first time. I can't imagine a better place in the Algarve for such a reasonable price. It's a fantastic location just 58 steps from one of the best beaches of the region, Praia Grande. I can recommend everyone to have dinner at Escondidinho, a very charming beach restaurant.
Almost every evening in high season there is live music at Club Nau, which you can enjoy from the terrace. It's not very loud (the children slept very well) and it always stops before midnight.

Erholung pur
Dieses Feriendomizil kann man nur bestens empfehlen. Wir haben uns richtig wohlgefühlt. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr sauber und auch gemütlich (FeWo I). Nach einer Woche kam die Reinigungsfrau und säuberte die komplette Wohnung mit frischer Bettwäsche und Handtücher, das fanden wir genial.
Auch die Lage ist toll, man schaut von der großen Terrasse auf den Atlantik und die Hafeneinfahrt von Portimao. Ein toller Ort zum Entspannen.
Es gibt schöne Strände, die man zu Fuß erreichen kann ebenso Restaurants.
Der nächste Urlaub ist gebucht.

Obrigado!
Wir (3 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder im Alter von 9 - 13 Jahre) haben im Juni zum 1. Mal Urlaub in Portugal gemacht und sind durch eine Empfehlung an die Vila Monte Luz gekommen. Besser konnten wir es gar nicht treffen!
Das Haus, die Lage und der Strand! Einmalig! Alles sehr gepflegt und ansprechend. Die Sonnenterrasse mit einem fantastischen Blick auf den Strand und das blaue Meer verzaubert einen. Hier kann man wirklich von einer exklusiven Lage sprechen. Die Hilfsbereitschaft der freundlichen und gut gelaunten Angestellten vor Ort ist auch besonders zu erwähnen.
Wir fühlten uns durch den äußerst freundlichen und informativen Kontakt zum Vermieter sehr gut aufgehoben.
Wir waren uns alle einig, dass dies der schönste und erholsamste Urlaub war und wir uns in die Vila Monte Luz und Ferragudo verliebt haben.
Ein herzliches "Obrigado" und wir kommen gerne wieder!

Fantastic location at one of Algarves best beaches
Vila Monte Luz is perfect for families with children. It has a nice swimming pool with beautiful sights over the beach and the sea. You can't be closer to Praia Grande, an ideal beach for children AND parents.
On Praia Grande children can safely play on the waterside, as there are hardly any waves. The beach also has a playground and nice little caves. Parents can lounge and relax in one of the three lovely beach bars. This makes Praia Grande in our opinion the best family beach in the Algarve.
The 3-bedroom apartment was compact, but good. We didn't need the air conditioning, as the apartment stayed remarkably cool (outside it was 30+ degrees). It doesn't have a real living room; it's more a large kitchen with a sofa.
All apartments are located around the small parking lot, not at the large terrace with swimming pool. But it's easy to get there and it's no problem to have breakfast, lunch or dinner with stunning sea view.
Owners Michael and Maria were in the main house when we stayed in the apartment. They were very kind and helpful; they even bought birthday cakes when my wife wanted to surprise me for my birthday.
We'll love to come back in Vila Monte Luz!
