Beautiful private lake house with amazing views, stunning wildlife and is close to downtown Wilmington. Going to book next summer asap.

Nicest home (of many) we’ve ever rented. The house was very well equipped, the host was available and helpful. Near to shopping and restaurants but quiet and secluded. (There’s even a hiking trail a short walk away.) Guests should be aware that there are stairs to enter the house and that the path to the beautiful lake are rather steep. But worth every step.

We had another wonderful time on the lake kayaking with our kayaks, reading and talking with our family.

Clean, private, perfect location

The house has a beautiful view of the lake from the living room window and it was very comfortable. We settled in quickly. It was fun and relaxing to kayak, swim and fish on the lake. The decks were good spaces to read, eat and look down at the water. The ping pong table was a great added entertainment. David was very helpful and responsive with information. And if you do venture out, check out the flea market, Art of Humor Gallery, Wahoo's for shakes, Anchor restaurant for dinner, Haystack Golf Course, MHCA Dover Cinema and Arts for a movie and Dot's for breakfast.

We loved our stay here. The bathrooms are small and there’s nothing fancy, but it’s a wonderful house with a sunken living room and a dining room above, looking out over the lake. Wonderful views where we ate, played games and read books by the huge windows. The decks are lovely too and it’s a homey, happy place. There are enough boats for everyone to go out on the lake together, and it was a treat having direct lake access. There’s also a trail right near the house so between boating, swimming and walking, one could easily never use a car! We went here after I concluded cancer treatment and it was the perfect place to celebrate and relax.

David's property is a gem on Lake Raponda. We love the area and have visited for many years. This is our 2nd year at David's home. We love being on the lake and the property is as listed. We will certainly be back next year.

First family lake house trip
The house was clean, well stocked and was homey. There are a lot of stairs going into the house and down to the dock which we knew but didn’t know the hike to get to the house. Also it was inconvenient because you needed to use the key to open multiple doors in the house. But overall it was a great place to stay. There were a lot of outside areas to sit.

Lake Raponda 3 BR
Great spot! This lake front house is clean, well appointed and comfortable not fancy. The view to the east is beautiful and the lake is clear. Kayaks and canoe provided with life jackets. This was our second visit.

Peaceful and Pretty
We loved this place on beautiful, quiet Lake Raponda! The house itself was perfect for us, had most everything we needed already there, well-stocked, views, activity (boats and accessories, books and ping ping!). Especially enjoyed having coffee in front of the fireplace looking out at the lake (windows could have been cleaner) and canoeing at any time of the day you almost have the whole lake to yourself! Enjoyed the area also. Wilmington and Brattleboro have good restaurants, rail-trails and hiking. Talking about renting here again! One thing I would add to your description of the place is the steepness of the stairs from the driveway down to the house. Anyone with mobility or health issues may find that climb challenging.

Beautiful house on the lake
Our family of four enjoyed at our stay at this property quite a bit. The walk down to the lake is steep but worth it, as the dock and canoe/paddleboat/kayaks gave us a lot of enjoyment over our visit. The house itself was compact but immaculate. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great place on Lake Raponda
Very nice house right on the lake. The house is lovelier than the photos depict. The house is well-stocked with pans, plates, cutlery, etc. if you wanted to cook. We love visiting Wilmington and we were so excited to find this treasure directly on Lake Raponda. There aren't many rentals on the lake. The view is beautiful and direct access is exactly what we wanted. The owner has multiple kayaks, life vests, and a paddle boat for use. There are many stairs and the pitch of the property leading to the water is a workout. This place is a gem. We will return.

Very nice clean house. Comfortable. Many steps to house and lake. Owner responsive when shower was broken. Beautiful lake. Great location. Would come back. Just wish you didn’t have to climb so many stairs

Perfect relaxing vacation by the lake
This was a dream vacation. The property is well situated on Raponda lake . The house had everything we needed . We enjoyed morning sunshine on the lake deck , kayaking and swimming in this pristine lake. We explore near by hikes - especially enjoyed primitive hike which starts very close to the house. Evening were spent on terrace, grilling and enjoying the view.
David made sure that everything was ready for our arrival.

Lake Raponda cottage
It was in great shape and very well provisioned. Having to take our own sheets, pillow cases, towels would have made traveling there by plane problematic. Since we drove it was not a problem for us. We look forward to renting it again. The property owner was very responsive and helpful.

Fabulous right on the lake!
We stayed at this well equipped, clean home and had a grand time. The west side of the lake had very little travel on the road making for a nice quite atmosphere. The lake is very quite and also friendly, I struck up quite a few conversations with the locals. The lake water was crystal clear and inviting! The house had plenty of boats to keep us paddling and the ping pong table was also a lot of fun. We were happy to see and hear a family of Loons everyday and also were treated to a pair of barred owls calling back to one another one evening. There was hardly any light pollution which made stargazing terrific. Every night I saw at least three shooting stars. The house is off the beaten path but a short drive away to the little town of Wilmington, were you can find fabulous restaurants, The Anchor or the Roadhouse were our favorites plus lots of gift shopping as well as some really great artists. There are also miles upon miles of hiking trails to wander! I can't say enough how great this house and its location were! I'll be back for sure!

We had a lovely week in July. The lake was beautiful, and we enjoyed canoeing and paddling. The water was refreshing, but warm enough for great swimming. The house was very comfortable, and well equipped. The lake views were mesmerizing. Very quiet and private.

A spacious property obviously lovingly planned and built. Very well equipped too. We enjoyed reading by the lakeside and paddling around by canoe. And there were long, family evenings indoors with music and jigsaws. Much recommended.

We stayed here on a beautiful, warm fall weekend and had a great time! The house was immaculate and comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Such a peaceful place - the perfect getaway, I imagine, at anytime of year. I'd gladly recommend this house to anyone but hope it doesn't get too popular so we don't have to fight for a reservation!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this lake front property. Beautiful view from the big picture livingroom. The house is cute and charming. A nice canoe ride on the lake (provided) or just sitting on the decks enjoying the view. The house has everything you need. Even a ping pong table which my kids enjoyed. We would definitly return next year.

We had a great time on our vacation and visit to this house. The setting is beautiful and the view out the large front windows of the lake is terrific. Nice size lake if you like quiet, as there were only about 3 active speedboats during our weeklong stay, with mostly canoes, kayaks and even a sailboat or two. The public beach on the opposite side of the lake is really nice too. The nearby towns are very quaint and we enjoyed visiting them as well. We would definitely return.
