The cottage was very spacious and clean. Tom, the landlord, was very friendly. He welcomed us personally and gave us a free pack of Irish Breakfast, too! The kitchen has everything you need including tea and coffee. The cottage is only 10 mins drive from Carrick on Shannon and in walkable distance to Leitrim village. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back soon!

Tom left everything for a cooked breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausages, boxty & brown bread along with tea, coffee, milk & butter. Lots of info on local attractions

Host was amazing, let us know about all the local happenings and best spots for walks, food, and music. Property was spotless, had full amenities, and made us feel at home. Easy walking distance to Leitrim Village downtown, and driving to Carrick-on-Shannon. If you do go, take the beautifully scenic walk for amazing food at Beirnes of Battlebrige!
Veeery little that I can complain about. It was awesome. Only thing you could say was that the internet in the back bedroom struggled, but who needs to use their phone in bed, just go to sleep!

What can we say only the best staycation we have taken so far in many years, the house is absolutely everything you coukd ask for, spacious, comfortable, 3 ensuite bathrooms, comfy beds and well stocked kitchen with all the essentials, great WiFi and plenty of brochures with all the local activities etc also, Tom the owner of the house was very friendly and we also got the pleasure of meeting Molly the very friendly and cuddly labradore:) the house comes with a great garden and outside eating area and is only a few minutes walk from the great pubs of Leitrim Village and we had great in 2 of them. Close to the hub of Carrig on Shannon and Boyle and all in all a great location to spend a holiday, we definitely hope to visit again in the future!! Best wishes Tom and keep up the great hospitality the country needs it:).
Wish we had more time there:)

The host was friendly at the start and welcoming. It was nice to have free tea/coffee/biscuits on arrival. Lovely area, nice garden for the children to play in, comfortable beds and good to have en-suite.
No Wi-Fi throughout stay - the host advised he would reboot the Wi-Fi but never got back to us. We were then advised by locals that wifi is always bad in this area.
The host also advised my little girl he would take her to see the cows but when it was mentioned during our stay he appeared to ignore that so I ended up with one very upset little girl as she never got to see the cows. We found green glass on the floor in the kitchen and a piece went up my foot.
We were tidying up at checkout and were 15 mins late leaving as we trying to leave the place clean…emptying bins etc. The host walked in and all he said was ‘I have the cleaner coming in a minute’. He didn’t say thanks for staying or helping clean or safe journey etc He didn’t even say goodbye. We didn’t see him again after he mentioned the cleaner. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning due to this.

We really had a great time in Ash Lodge. Tom was a great host ensuring we had everything we needed for the duration of our stay. We used the house as a base to explore Longford, leitrim, Sligo, Fermanagh and Cavan. The house is ideal for up to 6 people with three ensuite bedrooms. It is cosy and warm and was a home from home for us. I would have no hesitation returning again.

The location was great for us at the edge of the village, able to get to Shannon Blueway easily, nice walks around the village and canals. It was great having equal size bedrooms each with an ensuite. Tom was a great host ready to help if required otherwise happy to let you get on with your holiday. Can't wait to go back.

It was lovely from the very start, we were warmly welcomed, everything we needed to know was explained to us, we were advised of places to eat, and activities nearby, it was only a few minutes walk from the nearest village where anything we could need was available to us. Would definitely recommend it to my family and friends, and would return to myself in a heartbeat.
There was nothing I didn't like, it was just brilliant.

Beautiful house, clean and comfortable. Large bedrooms all ensuite. Lovely relaxing sitting area. Perfect for our family and suitable for a larger group. Tom was a wonderful host. Great location for the Shannon Blue Way and for Lough Key Forest Park.

Cosy , gorgeous house . Great location for touring round . Tom, the host, was very informative and gave us a welcome pack of tea and milk and cookies.
The house itself was lovely, clean and comfortable. It’s a little outside the village , so very quiet and a great base for our walking activities . I would definitely recommend it
Loved the property. Location ( slightly outside village) might be a problem if not driving. Other than that , I cannot fault it.
