About this apartment rental
Very nice, 78 sqm, 3 room apartment, renovated in 2014.
1 large bedroom with a 180 cm box spring bed, a smaller bedroom with a 140 cm bed, a large living room with parquet floors.
Bathroom with bathtub, extra toilet.
Small fully equipped kitchen.
The apartment is very bright and is located on a side street to Josefstädterstrasse.
There is free WiFi and cable TV.
You can walk to the town hall in 10 minutes, bus and tram can be reached in 5 minutes.
Shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Outstanding location in a real historic neighborhood, not like the crowded Innere Stadt. Apartment had all the necessary amenities and was very comfortable. Grocery around the corner, tram stop as well, lots of cafes and restaurants. We stayed there for 3 weeks in October 2023.
My reasons for the 3-star rating are:
1. directly across the street is a school brick wall covered with graffiti; this is what you see looking out the windows. If graffiti doesn't bother you, then this comment is NA.
2. people's footsteps in the apt. above sounded like a heard of elephants; this went on until around midnight most nights.
3. don't expect any help from the owner if you need it. When I told her about 2. above her answer was, "Go talk to them." Well no, you're the owner, YOU need to talk to them since this is clearly an issue for all guests.
Second, we locked ourselves out (easy to do given the front door configuration). When I contacted the owner she said I'd have to have a locksmith come to get the door open. Now there HAS to be a second set of keys; apparently neither she nor her caretaker could be bothered to get them to us. SO, we had to pay 350 euros to have an after hours locksmith come and solve the issue.

It was comfortable. The kitchen was small with limited utensils. The second bedroom had no outside window.

Very clean apartment with nice architectural details, located in a quite and safe neighbourhood.
The apartment was comfortable, as was the bedding provided and it was stocked with everything we needed for the duration of our stay.
There is a plethora of cafes and excellent restaurants a short walk around the corner and down the narrow streets.
Also just around the corner, about a 5 min walk away was a Spar grocery store, which came in quite handy.
You are also far enough away from the City Centre that it is quiet, but also just a short car/Uber trip (15-20 min) to many attractions.
Right nearby are lots of access to local transit as well.
Communication with the host was excellent and we were able to arrange early access to the property as our international flight was overnight and we needed to sleep when we came in.
I would highly recommend this property to others and would definitely stay here again while in Vienna.

Property was as per advertised, clean and close to the tram (only a few stops to the Opera area or underground) and restaurants. We arrived in Mid-July. Weather was 33 C, would have liked to have air-conditioning in the hot weather.

Perfectly situated, great for home base in Vienna. Kitchen is tiny but workable, nice to have a washer/dryer. Apartment got really warm (no AC) but to be fair we were there during record heat. Would be good to add fans for the bedrooms.

Great apartment with very comfortable beds. Everything went smoothly and they were understanding of our flight delay and late arrival. No toilet paper or shampoo but we made do.

Convenient and quiet location to the inner city either on foot, tram 2 on Josefstadtstrasse at the end of the street or bus 13A also at the end of the street. There is a supermarket and several nice cafes/restaurants close by on Josefstadtstrasse. The apartment is roomy with a large living area and main bedroom which has a comfortable bed. The 2nd bedroom is small with a double bed. There are no toiletries or toilet paper provided which is a bit inconvenient for a short stay. We arrived early in the morning and told we had to reach the apartment before 7am to get the keys. We couldn't get to the apartment by then so keys were handed to us on a street nearby. While we had the street number, unfortunately no apartment number was given to us so we had to try several doors before finding that it was apartment 4. It is a lovely apartment in a great position but our arrival was not welcoming, the beds were only made up for 3 people even though we'd booked for 4 people, and a little maintenance is needed - the toilet cistern was leaking.

We had a great stay at this quiet apartment in a very accessible location. Public transportation is so close and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. It provided all we needed. Thanks!!

Really liked this Apt. plenty of space. But most of all the location was excellent. It was a pleasant walk to almost all the major sites on our list. We were there for the Christmas markets and museum visits. Most of all, the apt was in a very quiet area. We were able to rest nicely each evening. We would stay here again.

Schöne Wohnung und super gelegen
Die schöne Altbauwohnung ist zentral in der Josephstadt gelegen. Straßenbahn und Bus direkt um die Ecke. Die Einkaufsstraße mit allem, was man braucht, ist in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen. An der Museumsinsel ist man per Bahn in zehn Minuten, zu Fuß in 20-25 Minuten. Die Wohnung liegt im Erdgeschoss, hat zwei Schlafzimmer, jeweils mit Doppelbett, ein Wohnzimmer mit Couch, eine Toilette und ein Bad sowie eine kleine Küche, alles wie beschrieben. In der Küche ist das Nötigste vorhanden, wir haben nur unseren Espressokocher für den Herd mitgebracht. Den Kindern, meinem Mann und mir hat es sehr gut gefallen!

Gut gelegene und geschnittene Wohnung. Alles Erforderliche in der Wohnung vorhanden. Stadtmitte zu Fuß und mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.

Schöne Wohnung in der Josefstadt
Schön eingerichtete Wohnung im hübschen Stadtteil Josefstadt und dennoch sehr zentral gelegen. Zimmer großzügig und modern eingerichtet. Ruhige Gegend mit sehr guter Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel. Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Restaurants ganz in der Nähe.
Wir haben hier drei sehr schöne Tage verbracht und kommen gern wieder.

We had a brilliant time. It was very quiet despite being very close to lots of shops and the main centre. The correspondence with the owners was brilliant. Had a lovely bath and was able to keep warmth. Thoroughly recommend!

Grosszügige Altbauwohnung mit hohen Räumen. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
In sympatischem Quartier mit vielen Restaurants ruhig gelegen.
Gute ÖV-Anbindung.
Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.
Bequemes, grosses Sofa im Wohnraum.
Sehr komfortables Schlafzimmer mit 180 cm breitem Bett. Sehr gute Fensterläden zum Verdunkeln.
Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat nur ein Fenster auf einen Schacht. Wenn der Schacht durch ein Toilettenfenster im Haus beleuchtet wird, erhellt sich auch das Schlafzimmer.
Zwischen den Schlafzimmern hat es eine verglaste Tür. Auch hier dringt natürlich des Licht im jeweiligen anderen Zimmer durch die Tür.
Die Küche ist sehr klein und nur mit dem Allernötigsten ausgestattet.
Das Bad hat eine Bodenheizung und ist angenehm grosszügig.
Wir würden wieder kommen!

Technische Probleme mit der Agentur
In den Tagen vor dem 19.September 2019 konnte ich die Agentur via Internet nicht erreichen ( obwohl meine Internetverbindung ansonsten in jeder Weise funktionierte ). Die Ursache schien bei der Agentur zu liegen. Leider erhielt ich von der Agentur keine Rückmeldung.....Warum nicht ?

Very nice flat in a good location. When traveling, I visit tourist districts but I prefer not to stay in them. This flat is in a more “real” neighborhood, although with many restaurants, a beautiful church and within easy walking or tram distance of Vienna’s “Old Town”. I’d definitely go back.

We just got back from a 9 day stay here and it was wonderful. My family of 4 fit perfectly in the flat. It was right by public transportation or an easy walk to the central district. It is closely located by a few grocery stores and yummy restaurants. Definitely would stay here again!

We had delays and arrived around midnight, but the owner was so kind to leave the keys with my sister. The location was perfect! Close to grocery stores, restaurants and public transportation. It was very hot during our stay and would be good to have fans for hot days/nights in summer.
