About this cabin rental
WE HAVE 2 VACATION RENTALS ON LAKE WALLENPAUPACK THAT ARE RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. PLEASE ALSO CHECK OUR BEAUTIFUL LAKEFRONT CHALET LISTING 995970.
Our lakefront cabin is the perfect location for relaxation. It is located near the end of a small private road with only 3 other houses, in a quiet setting on the eastern side of Lake Wallenpaupack. The cabin is set back about 200 feet from the lake and a private walkway leads you down to the private lakeside picnic and sitting area and the dock that is shared with the guests of our chalet. There is a view of the lake from the cabin broken up by pine trees, and magnificent views from the lakeside picnic/sitting area and dock. The dock is available late May through mid-October and can handle two 20+ foot boats (1 per house).
The dock is perfect for sunbathing, fishing, swimming or just relaxing and catching the magnificent Wallenpaupack Sunsets. The cabin includes wifi, streaming hi def TV, and it has a fully furnished kitchen, dining area and breakfast area, along with a living room, recently upgraded bathroom with shower/tub. There is a large deck in front of the cabin, with a gas grill and picnic table. There is a private fire pit in the wooded area alongside the cabin. Guests will need to bring their own towels, linens and blankets, unless other arrangements are made with the owner.
This is a great location for relaxing with family and friends. Our Sunset View Chalet is located right next door, and we frequently have guests who rent both houses for larger family gatherings.
The cabin was built in the 1950s. The bathroom, windows and flooring have been updated, a large deck has been added for grilling and outdoor dining and relaxiing, but the cabin retains much of it's rustic charm. If you are looking for a modern house with the latest amenities, please check out our Sunset View Chalet (Homeaway Property #995970).
One word of caution, our properties are NOT for those who are looking for a place to let loose and have a wild, loud party. It is a family neighborhood and there is a noise curfew at 10pm that is enforced. If you are looking for a great place for family and friends to gather in a peaceful setting, it is ideal. Thanks!!!

Our overall impression of the house and property was positive. If you are looking for a house that is in the woods but also near town then this is for you! The house is old and rustic but some updates have been made. The kitchen space was ok for the 2 of us but would be difficult to have enough space to prepare food for a larger group of people. The grill only worked on the left side and it took a very long time to cook 4 burgers. The fire pit area is well maintained and has plenty of seating. The dock was difficult to access for us 55+ year olds. Not enough flat rocks to easily get up on the dock. The location to view the sunset was nice but the picnic table was not maintained . The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom suited our needs. I wish there had been an exhaust fan in the bathroom . The living room and tv area were great.
The host and property manager were excellent to communicate with and answered all of our questions prior to our stay.. Overall I recommend this location.

We had a weekend to get away before our kids went back to college and this was just what we needed. David's house on the lkae was quiet, cozy and restful. Plenty of things to do in the area, including renting a pontoon boat for the day, right down the road. Looking forward to spending more time there.

I've been enjoying Lake Wallenpaupack for over 50 years and have rented many lake side cabins for family vacation. This place was just right for our group of 6 adults - a perfect blend of classic cabin living with the necessary comfort upgrades. Shared dock, although not ideal, worked out fine and was not a detriment to our stay.
We enjoyed the front deck and fire pit area.

Stayed here on a rainy weekend with my husband and 5 month old. The cabin itself is cozy and has all the comforts of home. The location is not only great for lake access but other activities in the area as well. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

We had a great time during our week at the lake! The cabin was exactly what we had anticipated, and had everything we needed for our family of 4. The cabin was clean and well-maintained, and both David (owner) and Jennifer (property manager) were super easy to communicate with and very responsive. It's a nice quiet street, with great views of the lake and easy access to the nearby restaurants when we didn't feel like cooking. We can't wait to make a return reservation!!

Property location was great and the view of the lake was beautiful. The house was not very clean and kitchen was not well supplied

Sent my dad here for a birthday getaway and he had the most amazing time!

Fantastic place to get away and enjoy the views of the lake.

My husband and I brought our boat to the cabin so we could fish for the week. Having a boat dock gave us easy access to the lake as well as viewing beautiful sunsets right in our own backyard. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We played corn hole with our neighbors in the chalet next-door it made for a fun evening.

Was great overall experience. Couple of improvements can be done in my opinion: one room with queen bed is located on the very top of the stairs has no door. There is no privacy if a married couple sleeps in this room and you hear all guests on each floor. Besides that I love the place

Cabin was exactly as advertised. Perfect size for my wife & I as we celebrated our anniversary. Easy access to the lake where each night the sunsets were magnificent. Also the Autumn foliage really added to the scenery. Restaurants and the lake trail are very close by. Very peaceful, which is what we were looking for.

Great location on the lake. They weren’t kidding that they have the beat sunsets! Well stocked for our family’s needs. Close to stores and restaurants too.

This property was perfect. Our friends had the house next door and we rented a pontoon boat for the week. It was just perfect and the house was just right. It’s a great location. There was some rain and the dock floated a way a little and they were in quick contact and fixed everything right away.

We had a wonderful time , size of home was perfect for our stay. We have the boat dock that the kids loved to fish off of. Would recommend to stay. Kids didn’t like the bugs but were in the woods.

This was our second time staying at one of David's properties on Lake Wallenpaupack, and the first time at this cabin (next door to the chalet where we stayed last year). Without a doubt, this is the best location on this lake (we've rented on other parts of Wallenpaupack), and this cabin has been our favorite property to date. Old-school feel but very comfortable and clean. Just two of us this time, but we'll bring back others next time we stay. Thanks for hosting us!

Had everything we needed. Questions to the owner were answered promptly and fully. Owner was very, very nice and helpful.

nice cabin with space, shore line a little far but nice, equipped with everything we needed. Only problem was no return call from manager about signing a paper from owner gotten 2 days before scheduled vacation times.

We were a group of five women looking to get away and be able to swim & enjoy some time together while socially distancing from others. This fit our needs perfectly. It is as advertised - a cabin - not luxurious but it was fine. Loved sitting on the deck each night. Would definitely consider a return visit.

Our family spent the weekend at the cabin and loved every minute of it, even though the internet wasn’t working the kids had a great time! The cabin was tucked away with plenty of privacy and the views of the sunset were beautiful.

This was a perfect spot for a relaxing long weekend. Sunning on the dock, reading on the deck, grilling and games, and a nice hike near by. 4.5 stars. Nicely priced, near a lot, pretty setting.

My family wanted a quiet weekend away from the city. Luckily for us, we found this perfect house for us. Even though it was a holiday weekend, the whole scene was rather quiet. In addition, the tall trees give a great shade for spending time outside.
We stayed for only a couple of days but really enjoyed the stay. The house is very cozy and the manager who takes care of the house is very friendly (Despite meeting for the first time, she felt like a friend who I've known for awhile).
By the way, the sunset here is simply indescribable! We may actually come back for the winter!

I am from Philly and have friends from NYC. We were looking for a spot to meet up and this cabin worked out perfectly! We first thought we'd book a couple hotel rooms, but then checked out the rentals. Saved a lot of money on the cabin and had a great time. Good communication from the owner and the property manager. Some good restaurants and bars nearby, but little need to leave the property.

Had a great week at the Sunset View Cabin with friends and family. Spacious cabin in private setting. Great location on the lake. We spent most evening taking in the sunsets from the dock. We spent the week with family and friends, fishing, boating, swimming, grilling and just unwinding, We plan to return next year! This is the first time we booked a house, rather than a hotel, and the owner, Dave, made it easy.

We had a great week of relaxing with family and friends here. Sunsets at the dock were definitely a highlight. Lots of grilling, fishing, boating and swimming. That's the way it should be in the summer. Hope to return next year! The house was roomy and was in a private setting with room to park and leave my boat trailer for the week.

My girlfriend and I had a great weekend with another couple at the cabin. Cookouts on the deck, fishing, sitting around the campfire and watching the sunsets. What more can you ask for? Great way to unwind from the week!

Just spent a great weekend with my folks at this cabin. Weather was perfect, a great breeze off the lake and deep orange sunsets made this the perfect vacation spot. The cabin was clean, comfortable and decorated nicely. We made good use of the grill on the deck for lunch and dinner. My folks really enjoyed hanging out in the Adirondack chairs at the lake side. Awesome Views. Hope we can return soon!

We were looking for an affordable place to rent for a week in the summer and decided to try this cabin. We found the price was similar to renting a bungalow or room at some of the nearby resorts, but we had much more room and privacy. The house is nice and has 3 bedrooms and a fourth smaller room which has a queen air mattress. The bathroom is modern, the kitchen had everything we needed and the wifi and cable kept my husband and kids busy in the off time. The deck was very big and we had cookouts on the grill.
The property is big and private. The house is at the end of a private road and there are only a couple other houses on the road, so we felt comfortable letting our kids explore the grounds. There is a private path that takes you down to the lake and the dock. My kids were able to fish and swim from the dock and I enjoyed watching some of the most amazing sunsets from the dock and picnic area. My husband rented a motor boat for the week and we kept it tied up to the dock. This was our first family trip to Lake Wallenpaupack and it was very relaxing, but still plenty for the kids to do. It was a nice break from our usual hectic trips to the NJ shore.

Had the opportunity to spend the weekend with a couple of friends at this cabin. We were coming from NYC and Philly so it was a great place to meet up. The cabin has 4 bedrooms and plenty of room to stretch out. The deck was great for grilling and hanging out and looking down at the lake. We had a campfire each night at the firepit. The sunsets ranged from great to amazing! We were able to fish from the shoreline and actually brought in a combination of large mouth bass, pickerel and even a channel catfish. We're thinking about making this an annual thing. Oh, and the owner, Dave, was very helpful throughout the process.
