Hello,
My wife and two good friends (one a first time visitor to Poland) stayed at this site for our mutual first visit to Wroclaw and the Christmas Market. Our host, Nils, engaged with us via the internet well before our arrival and was there to meet us upon arrival. Nils was hospitable, humorous, and friendly. Everyone in our group took an immediate liking to him. In fact, he recommended a terrific restaurant which we were all able to enjoy. Nils knowledge of the city and its' history was also very helpful and informative. As for the flat; we were knocked out! It is a beautiful old building restored and refurbished and in wonderful condition. We could not have found a more convenient location in terms of access to local shops and a short walk to the Market Square. Everything was in fine working order, the beds were very comfortable and the common room comfortable as well. Both baths were in excellent shape as was the kitchen. The combination of a most excellent host and a top notch flat ensures we will return!

Tolle Wohnung mitten in Breslau
Danke an Nils!

Historic Charm
Absolutely loved staying at Nils apartment. Very clean, quite spacious and well equipped for our stay. Nils is very responsive to any questions prior to arrival, met us at the door upon our arrival and gave great recommendations for nearby eating and ice cream establishments. Easy walk into the market square. Tram just outside the building and less than a block away. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Just a delightful stay. You won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful property close to the city centre
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Wroclaw and this was enhanced by the way we were treated by Nils. He sent us excellent information about the city and the property and was here to greet us when we arrived. Don’t be put off by the street where the property is. Once inside the facilities are outstanding. Nils has thought of everything. We had 5 people in our group and we all had plenty of space in this renovated apartment

This is a spacious and very well equipped apartment near to the centre of Wroclaw. It is in an old apartment so the entrance is pretty awful but once in the apartment everything is good. We walked to the city centre, the botanic gardens, the cathedral and to the market. It is easy walking through parks by the river and waterways. Nils was a very helpful and attentive host. We really enjoyed Wroclaw as it is so interesting and it is a beautiful city. We found excellent coffee around the corner at Folgujemy, ul. Kniaziewicza 16.

The other reviews of this apartment are very accurate. We are a family of eight and we stayed here for three months, so we got to know it and the surrounding area very well.
The apartment:
This is a great opportunity to stay in a pre-communist Wroclaw building. There are not many in the city but this is one of them. The ceilings are high, the windows large, and there are ornate old textures everywhere that indicate that it must have once been a grand building. Unfortunately the courtyard has fallen into disrepair, even though we still found it charming. Don't be put off when you first enter the courtyard (there's graffiti and the stairs are very worn and old). The apartment itself could not be more different than the outside of the building. Nils has tastefully restored this apartment with many tasteful modern touches.
The bedrooms are all large and we fit very comfortably. The internet is blazing fast and very reliable. There's a large TV + BluRay/XBox for entertainment. The kitchen is small but it had everything we needed to cook meals. The beds are simple but comfortable and the bathrooms are large and clean. My favorite part about this apartment is how it feels so classic but has been restored so well.
The neighborhood:
It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the amazing Wroclaw market square. Two large shopping malls with grocery stores are a 10 minute walk away. There are a few tiny convenience stores where you can buy milk, beer, or snacks on the street. If you want to get to a good restaurant, that's about a 10 minute walk. Tram connections are just a few steps outside the doorway. We heard that this neighborhood once had a bad reputation in Wroclaw but we never encountered any sort of situation that made us feel unsafe. We often walked home late at night. The worst thing we encountered was dog poo on the sidewalk. Wroclaw is a very safe city and even late at night, it feels completely safe.
The owner, Nils was super helpful, very responsive if any issue came up and always had fun suggestions for us on what to do in Wroclaw.
This was a great apartment, one of the nicest I've seen in Wroclaw. Huge thanks to Nils for making our stay in Wroclaw so good.

All the other previews reviews are very accurate. Once you get past the rickety, graffity-laden,front door, the scary front hall way with a cordoned-off hole in the floor and the ancient creaky stairs, you'll find that the apartment itself is top-notch, large, clean, modern with all the necessities and amenities for a comfortable extended stay. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms it's ideal for families or a group. One can only image what an elegant old building this once must have been. A grand old building with tall ceilings and large rooms and imposing doors that, alas, has fallen on hard times and been neglected since 1945.
Nils, the owner, will greet you and provide you all information regarding the apartment or the town that you may require. There are many interesting history books in both English and German about Breslau in the apartment, as well as maps and guidebooks. The apartment is only a short 15 - 20 minute walk from the historic old town that has been lovingly restored. I only hopes that the restoration will reach this building some day. There is a large Carrefour supermarket in lower level of the Galeria Dominikanska that's about a 10 minute walk from the apartment on the way to the old town.
I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Wroclaw.

This home was perfect for a family of 6! Nils is a very special host. I can't put into words how wonderful our trip was for our family and my mother. We have Nils to thank for making Worclaw one of our major highlights of our trip to Europe.
Our days were filled with activities thanks to Nils who wrote out various suggestions for all ages ranging from a kid friendly zoo day, to a 77 year old European history major. He has a wide assortment of maps and directions available in the apartment so we were able navigate our way around the city.
We highly recommend seeing the city and staying in this apartment!

Nils began being helpful months before we arrived, answering questions and sending useful links. We stayed comfortably with grandparents, parents and one adult child in the huge rooms. Lots of little extras like laundry soap provided, city maps, Netflix, a huge bookshelf of interesting books and some kitchen staples made it easy to settle in quickly. Nearby bike rental stations, tram stops and bus stops and being within walking distance of the City Center made getting around Wroclaw quick and easy. Nils continued to be responsive to our many questions....where to find services we needed and ordering us an airport taxi for our 4am departure. Do not be put off by the slightly run down exterior of the building; there is a gem waiting inside!

I stayed here with my family (spouse and two children, ages 13 and 9) for four months, and couldn't have been happier with the experience in every respect. The flat is exceedingly large and spacious, very well appointed, and extremely 'homey' which makes it especially suitable when staying long-term. Everything exactly as pictured, if not better. It is very convenient to Rynek (city square) as well as all major attractions, markets and shops, all within short walking distance yet on a quiet residential street. Additionally tram and bus lines running throughout the city can be accessed literally steps away (for the tram) and a block or two for buses. And, you won't find a friendlier or more helpful property manager than Nils, who not only responded quickly to even the most minor question but also periodically mentioned happenings and events of interest in the city. Highly recommend this flat.

This apartment proved to be the perfect home base for exploring Wroclaw with young children. We were greeted with fresh strawberries and milk---a delight for our one year old and four year old. In addition to being a walking distance from the central square, the apartment is also very close to two large playgrounds, a park, a carousel, puppet theater, grocery stores, and a bakery. Nils provided an overview of child and family friendly activities. We especially enjoyed his suggestions of crossing the river via cable car, the zoo, a river cruise, and the centennial fountain lights show. Even better--all of these activities were a 20-25 minute walk from the apartment.
The apartment itself is very spacious, clean, well organized and safe for small children. We really appreciated that Nils set up a crib and highchair prior to our arrival. He also went to the trouble of providing electric outlet covers, and children's DVDs in case of a rainy day.
We found the full kitchen very well stocked and functional. The washer and dryer was also wonderful to have during our stay.
If you are a family seeking a conveniently located, comfortable, and spacious apartments you will enjoy this one with children of any age.

Perfect Apartment and Host!
We very much enjoyed this spacious apartment, and the two bathrooms were a plus for a larger family. The renovation of this apartment is beautiful. Like the other review mentioned, the entryway is a trifle 'scary', but was explained that the graffiti is a sentimental reminder of the challenging history this city has been through. The neighborhood is very safe, and there are lots of convenient shops nearby. It's only a 15 minute walk to Market Square. We did enjoy all of the thoughtful additions to the apartment from books and movies, to extra laundry detergent and cofee. Nils couldn't be more helpful! His help with tracking down geneological history made our visit to my grandfather's home town an amazing, life-changing event. Herzlichen Dank!!!!

Great apartment
The listing description of this apartment is very accurate regarding location, layout, facilities etc. It is well maintained and very clean and comfortable. Nils, the manager was excellent to communicate with from the initial enquiry to meeting him in person when we arrived. He was very helpful with tips answering questions and if needed always available to contact during the stay. My husband and myself stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It is warm, cosy and has very comfortable beds. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for your stay if you wish to eat in. Both bathrooms are great really fresh and modern. The bookcase in the sitting room is full of books, dvd's and cd's. The entrance to the apartment building could be off putting if you have not stayed in these type of old buildings before. But believe me it is worth looking past this. We actually liked it as it gave a feel of old Poland. The area is very safe as we walked back late some nights and did not feel afraid. It is nice to walk around the neighbourhood to see such buildings from the past and also see progress with new apartment blocks been built. Going left out of the building there is a little bakery where you will find delicious cakes and breads. Small grocery shops are on every street. Large shopping Mall very close by has a very good supermarket. Actually there are many big shopping Malls within walking distance if you are in a shopping mood. We found Wroclaw to be a very friendly city and enjoyed strolling around as the weather was nice. We only came across three of the cities dwarfs but I am returning in a few weeks with three friends so will look out for some more. We are again staying at this great apartment and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable trip to Wroclaw.

This is a very nice and modern appartment. Great beds, two very nice bathrooms, a complete kitchen and all furnished in a stylish way. We loved it. You can really expect what you see in the pictures. The appartment building is less modern but we thought it only added to the polish atmosphere. We (2 adults, 2 adolescents) stayed four nights during the BuskerBus festival and the city was alive and people were friendly. We had no problems at all and walked the streets in the evening. We were welcomed by our host Nils who is a really friendly guy and who gave us many sight seeing tips. Thanks again, Nils! Live in Poland is generally a bit cheaper than in the Netherlands where we come from. People in the city center all speak enough English to order drinks and do some shopping. The city center and two large shopping malls are in walking distance (appr. 10-15 minutes) from the appartment. Closer to the appartment are some smaller shops, but do expect to use some sign language to order stuff, because only Polish is spoken in those shops. We enjoyed our stay in Wroclaw very much and I am sure the appartment will appeal to almost anybody.
