About this cottage rental
Awake to morning sunlight, water lapping on the shore, and the soothing call of the Maine loon.
Peaceful and private location on a quiet lake (jet skis prohibited), offering great fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and relaxation. Experience an abundance of wildlife, including eagles, osprey, loons, herons, turtles, fish, or maybe even a moose!
The cottage has two bedrooms (sleeps five including pull-out couch and bed on enclosed porch), full kitchen with dining space, living room, bathroom, large screened-in porch overlooking the lake, small deck, picnic table. The porch is great for an afternoon snooze. The kitchen is equipped dishes and utensils. The living room has comfortable seating and a Rinnai propane heater. The cottage is completely equipped except for linens, blankets, and towels.
This rental includes two kayaks, one canoe, a small row boat, and life preservers. Motor boats can be rented from across the lake (and they will deliver to the dock!). Just steps from the cottage is a nice dock with a large area at the end for swimming, sunning, and fishing and with further access to a swimming "float" 50' offshore along with a boat ramp. If you're looking for some great fishing and wildlife, you can take a kayak/canoe trip across the lake to Pickerel Pond!
Wayne General Store, a post office, and Chubby's Ice Cream are located in town within a mile from the cottage, which makes for a nice walk, kayak, canoe, or bike ride. Hiking and biking trails, as well as a golf course, are nearby. Mount Pisgah, a small "mountain" in Wayne, offers a short hike for all ages; 30-minutes to the summit with a fun, climbable fire tower on top (with stairs) providing amazing views of the surrounding lakes. A shopping center is about a 20-minute drive from the property.
No smoking or pets allowed. Saturday to Saturday bookings only from June to August.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

We enjoyed our stay at Roger’s cabin. The kayaks and canoe were in great shape and easy to launch into the lake. We enjoyed swimming out to the dock, fishing, and exploring the lake. The cabin was clean and very cozy and had all we needed for the week!

Roger’s camp is a little slice of heaven. Lake Pocasset is very quiet and beautiful. The cabin itself was spotless and very comfortable, even in a heatwave there were a multitude of fans to keep us cool. It had a very informative guestbook and was clearly very well cared for. We were happy to have the opportunity to stay at such a nice place.

Roger’s camp is a wonderful way to escape into a world of peace and quiet. Read a book on the dock or sit by the fire at night and watch the moon rise over the lake. Nothing compares to the tranquility of this lakeside paradise. Hope to come again next year.

The cabin is clean and very well stocked with pots, pans, plates and utensils. The property is private and the breeze off the lake almost always blows right into porch. Heavenly.

This wonderful lakeside spot has been the setting for our sister week for over ten years. It is our spot to catch up and share family stories while kayaking, swimming, reading on the dock and having the annual lobster dinner . This spot is a true treasure!

Peaceful Getaway
Four of us stayed at Roger’s camp for a week. It was an enjoyable time to get away from things and to relax on beautiful Lake Pocasset. My grandfather owned this camp many years ago. We used to spend many summers at the camp, so it was wonderful to be able to return and revisit those memories. We will definitely return again! Thank you for a wonderful stay?

Peace and Paddling
Lovely stay at Roger's camp! The place was simple and had everything you needed. Property was very clean, private and peaceful. Loved the choice of chairs/recliners to chill in yard and on dock, fire pit, grill - screened in porch and proximity to the clear lake waters and calls of the loons. Roger was very responsive and easy to reach. Will be back next summer!

Lake cottage
My family and I enjoyed the lake cottage. We kayaked with the ones provided with the rental. The water was a good temperature for swimming. In the evening we built a fire in the fire pit. The cottage was clean and well maintained. Roger was available by email and phone.

Great cottage, great lake, great vacation.
Roger and his camp are both great. He was very attentive when emailing about reservations and during our stay. On the first day he said “do you see how quiet the lake is? This is how it will be all week”. I didn’t believe him, but it was exactly as he said, quiet. Pocasset Lake is a special place and Roger’s camp is a great place to stay while visiting the area. The camp was perfect for our family of 4, including a 7 and 4 year old. They loved hanging out on the dock, fishing, swimming and using the kayaks. The picture of the rowboat tied to the dock is how the lake was all week. Most of the time we were the only ones boating.
Thanks again, Roger!

Great Stay on Pocasset Lake
We had an excellent stay at Roger's camp. He met us for a smooth check-in and was good with communication throughout the process. He was available in the event of an issue, but we did not have any! The camp was clean, quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed exploring Pocasset Lake and Pickerel Pond on the kayaks. The camp is nicely located in Wayne, far enough from it all to get away, but a short drive to any shopping or services you may need. Thanks Roger for a great stay!

Great vacation!
We had a memorable vacation, despite a few rainy days. Cabin is very good, right on the water, and having three kinds of boats (kayaks, canoe, rowing boat) in our disposal was great. Roger is a great host. We had a blast boating and fishing!

Cabin in Wayne
Very much what I expected for a cabin. And that's a good thing!! Dock, raft, kayaks, rowboat, grill, fire-pit. All very lovely! The description says it sleeps 5, the itemized section says 6; there is - as of this writing - a double in one bedroom, a single in the other, a single on the enclosed porch, and a fold-down double-ish futon.

The Best of the Best
This cabin was so incredibly perfect for our vacation week. It was clean and well furnished with all the necessities. Sitting amongst the trees and yet right on the water, we couldn’t have asked for a more private spot to relax in. The bass fishing was excellent, as well as good sized pickerel. What fun we had watching the loons, eagles, osprey, herons and turtles. An abundance of wildlife no matter which way we turned. Truly an experience we will talk about for years to come. Our host Roger was most accommodating and attentive to all our needs. Hope to return next year and many years to come. Susan and Fred

Life is good at the lake
We have rented this camp a week in August for over ten years as a sister week time to relax and renew. It has charm and comfort and the property owner is so responsive. We suggest a screen door for the back door to allow air flow while keeping out bugs and perhaps a mat for the front door to keep pine needles from wandering in on feet.

Great place to relax and fish!
We had such a relaxing vacation. It was a a private lake that was very quiet. The fishing was awesome. We caught a bunch of good-sized large and small mouth bass and two pickerels.
