We ended up being upgraded to the Casa Blanca which is upstairs and has a private pool. It was wonderful. Only issue was the neighbor was adding a room or building on and they worked until 9:00 some nights. Probably because of the 86 degree weather.

Blue Marlin provided what we were looking for: a clean home base from which to explore the island, kitchen facilities to prepare meals, proximity to the town and transportation. The property management team were quite organized and helpful, and communication was prompt and clear. They met us at the ferry, gave us a brief orientation to the town and delivered us to the unit.
Livingroom furniture is much more comfortable than the bamboo set shown. It's a 2 bath unit (not 1 as shown). The newer bath (shown) is lovely; the master bath (not shown) was clean but needs updating. We also felt the steps from the bedroom area (not seen in the pictures) were hazardous in the dark of night; a plug-in night might help.
Over all, we enjoyed our stay at Blue Marlin.

Everything was great. Thanks for getting us the portable a/c. We hope to return next year, but can't commit for a few months.

Ideally located for restaurants, bars, shops and taxis. Very spacious unit and well accommodated.
4.8
The property is just up the hill from Cruz Bay, far enough away that you do not hear the bar crowds at night, but not so far as to need/want a car/taxi even after having a large meal with several drinks.
The property is small but has two full bathrooms, A/C, towels for the beach and bathrooms, pots, pans, 25oz. drip coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, ice cube trays, cooking range, but no oven. King-size bed, a couch, two reclining chairs around the television, a four-person kitchen table, satellite TV, and reliable, wireless internet.
The property manager was friendly, and prompt with replies and warned us the evening before a several-hour-long pending, island-wide power outage.
10/10, would recommend.

Perfect location 5 min walk to town with a slight uphill walk back to the villa. The place was clean, and everything we needed with a surprise of brand new couches and love seats when we got there. Jackie a awesome and communicates everything.we don’t spent much time in the villa other than sleep so this place worked out great!

Good location. Clean and comfortable. A/C a little anemic but perfectly fine with a fan.

Lovely home perfectly located walking distance to the best Beach side Tiki Bar EVER! THE BEST BUFFALO CHICKEN THIGHS I’VE EVER EATEN! CAFE’ ROMA ITALIAN Restaurant has the most personable staff and meatballs to die for. I came right home to work on my meatball skills.

First time to St. John’s. We wanted a location close to everything and this fit the bill! We didn’t need a vehicle but could walk everywhere or take a taxi to the beaches. We also took the city bus ($1!) to the other side of the island to go to Salt pond beach. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. A little outdated but that isn’t important to us. Enjoyed watching a peacock in our driveway! Only barrier with not having a vehicle was getting to a grocery store. If you have trouble walking uphill you would need a vehicle. Jackie (the manager) was wonderful! Super helpful, responsive and very nice! Hope to be back!

We had a brilliant stay at the Blue Marlin. A cozy retreat close to Cruz Bay, clean, comfy, perfect spot for a couple. We look forward to our next stay here.

The Blue Marlin is easy walking distance to all the Cruz bay restaurants and bars, and the parking spot two bathrooms were a bonus. Very clean and a great spot for two!

Great location, clean and just perfect.

Nice place for 2 in a great neighborhood. Easy 5 min walk to downtown Cruz Bay, taxis, ferry, etc.
Jackie not only met us at the ferry and took us to the property, but also did a quick drive around town and made a pit stop at the grocery store so we could get some food and our bearings. Best, and most friendly, service we've ever had!!
4.8
We enjoyed the property’s closeness to downtown. Having two full bathrooms was a perk. The property was exactly as described from the ad. When we needed things from Jackie she was prompt and communicative. Overall a great experience and plan to come back to Saint John.

A great location, but the hills did make walking to town bit of a challenge, however its just a few minutes by car so not a big deal.
There should be some warming regarding the very low ceilings. My 6' husband hit his head several times.

Excellent location, quite and perfect for a couple. Michele (reservation staff dept.) was excellent in providing all information required.

Perfection!
My husband and I stayed here for a week. This was our 4th trip to St John and this part of the island is the best to stay. Short walk to town for dinner each night (only a couple hills from this spot!). Condo was exactly as described and pictured. Clean and supplied everything we needed. Jackie from property management made it super easy to check in and help with any questions we had along the way! Highly recommend

Enjoyed our 2nd stay in the past year. Have family living on island & this is VERY convenient to where they reside, as well as to everything in Cruz Bay.
The villa is comfortable and very clean. Refrigerator is nice & cold, love the gas cooktop, ceiling fan makes the kitchen very comfortable, even made mini-cupcakes in the toaster over (brought my own silicone muffin pans). Would love it if the owner included a couple larger than cereal bowls (to mix salad in). The large window in the kitchen provides a nice view of the water - you can watch the car barges come and go. The wall-mounted ductless a/c unit is in the bedroom and makes sleeping comfortable. Open the curtains that separate the bedroom & living room to let the a/c flow thru, turn on the ceiling &/or floor fans and you will be cooled off in no time! One note about the bedroom - it has a low ceiling (about 6'3"). We had no issues with that though (husband is 5'10"). There is a 2nd, smaller bathroom a step away from the bedroom with 2 small windows (one glass block) so there's natural light. The shower in this smaller bathroom also has decent water pressure. A couple other nice amenities are a medium, soft-sided, insulated cooler, beach chairs, and pool noodles that you can take with you to the beach.
There's a driveway for you to park your rental vehicle, but we rarely rent one. We get our exercise from walking (bring a small umbrella to shield you from the sun!). From Blue Marlin villa, it’s a 5-min walk to The Beach Bar and to Lovango Rum Bar (best pizza on island; crust is yummy, doesn’t taste like cardboard! Charcuterie boards, salads, paninis, & desserts are delicious, too!)…an 8-min walk to Cruz Bay ferry dock and Cruz Bay Landing…a 9-min walk to Quiet Mon Pub and Extra Virgin Bistro…a 10-min walk to Dolphin Market…an 11-min walk to The Roti King…a 15-min walk to Mongoose Junction…an 18-min walk to The Marketplace/Starfish Market. If you’re feeling adventurous, a 30-50 minute, slightly hilly hike along the Lind Point Trail ends at the beautiful Honeymoon Beach. Remember to bring water & snacks, and wear your sneakers/walking/hiking shoes and bathing suit! No restrooms. You can also take a Safari and pay a fee (about $10 round trip per person) to take the beach shuttle from Caneel Bay to Honeymoon Beach.
Conservation, respect, and kindness are key to St. John, USVI remaining one of your favorite places to kick back and relax!

Blue Marlin was the perfect place -- close to the ferry, restaurants, and shopping, as well as taxi service! In the 20 years we've been visiting St. John, we've never rented a car, and prefer to use the local taxi services to get us to and from the beach.
Blue Marlin is clean, spacious, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
From booking to checkout, Jackie and her team were quick to respond. We also appreciated that Michelle met us at the ferry and took us over to the villa.
A+ experience all around!!!

The kitchen was poorly equipped.. the frying pans were peeling Teflon and should be thrown out. Kitchen lacked good lighting. There is no oven … just a toaster oven but there were no Corningware to use to bake anything. Our biggest issue was lack of WiFi which according to the upstairs neighbors had been an issue for over a week. A new modem was installed on day 5 of our rental.
The location was a quick walk into Cruz bay and the bars and restaurants there.
The bedroom had an air conditioner but the living room and kitchen were quite warm most afternoons

Definitely needs updating

Blue Marlin = Good
Very nice and comfortable, but could use a little updating. Otherwise for the price, it was perfect and we were very happy and would definitely go there again.

Jackie was wonderful. She responded very quickly to all of our needs. The location of this home is perfect. You can walk downtown for dinner and get your exercise coming back up the hill at the end of the night. We enjoyed our stay in the Blue Marlin. Furnishing could use a little updating. Felt like I was in the 1980s. 😁

Great location to come home to
Stayed on St John for 12 days and Blue Marlin was a great home base. Space is clean, comfortable, 2 bathrooms, and room to relax. Easy access to Cruz Bay by car or 4 minute walk. Enjoyed morning coffee watching car ferry from the porch and snorkeled in Frank Bay a couple times.

Definitely will stay here again!!
Jackie is amazing! The property is clean and short walk into town and down to Frank Bay. The views are great and the owner of the villa is just precious. Thank you Jackie and Mr. Jaime for your hospitality. I look forward to my next stay with you!!

Quiet & Relaxing
We had a wonderful time on our stay. Jackie was very kind and informative. This villa was as advertised and fit perfectly for what we were needing. We'd get up every morning and take the short walk down the hill to the rock beach by Gallow's Point. We were the only people there every morning. The water was so blue! I also enjoyed how short the walk was into town. Our only issue was with one shower, we couln't figure out how to get hot water. It was probably user error, and didn't affect our trip or feelings about the villa because there were two showers. :) We would absolutely stay again. Our first ever trip to St. John was wonderful! Thank you Jackie! :)

Perfect getaway in a great location!
Stayed at Blue Marlin in May. It was a terrific property - clean, plenty of room, AC - in a perfect location! There's a nice view from the living room and porch looking out over Frank Bay. Two minute walk down the hill to Gallows Point (coffee shop and general store) or go another three minutes and you're in Cruz Bay - having an amazing cocktail at DRINK ST JOHN!

Perfect place for a couple
We had an awesome stay at the Blue marlin. Jackie (property manager) was incredibly welcoming and helpful, made sure we made it to our villa from the ferry and was always just a call away for anything. We also got to meet the owner, Jamie, who was very kind and even let us check out the pool at the 2nd level villa. The villa was very clean, had all the amenities you could need and walking distance to Cruz Bay! 10/10 would recommend!
