This cabin was just what we were looking for, cozy, quiet, and quaint!

Good trip. Hot tub display needs replacement as it is worn out

My wife and I spent a few nights in this beautiful home before we had 3 of our grandchildren (ages 7, 4, 2) stay for 1 night while their parents attended a wedding in the area. The place was very clean and was welcoming upon entering the door. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. My wife did a lot of reading on the deck when we were not going around to places we had been in the past. The location was convenient and just a few minutes off the main road of Maggie Valley. Very enjoyable and relaxing.

When we arrived to the cabin the cleaners had failed to arrive. Reached out to the property manager who immediately got back to us and resolved the issue. Great location that provides a lot of privacy. Be aware, the drive up to the cabin gets to a 9 degree pitch. Most vehicles should have no issue, but read the warning from the property owners about winter months.

Our family loves this property and the owners are great! We bring our fur babies and do lots of eating and hiking. We will be back again!

Perfect fit for our family of 5. We all enjoyed the hot tub, beautiful view and location. The house had everything we needed! We will definitely book again.

When we first walked in,the cabin smelled bad. The Hot Tub was nasty to the point that we didn't get in it at all, even after I spent an hour trying to clean it. The towels smelled like they were wet and musty. The spare blankets smelled like dogs. There was dust everywhere and the floors and baseboards were disgusting. The shower was nasty with pink mildew in the master bathroom. We were told to clean up after ourselves but there were no cleaning supplies. Wi-Fi and TVs did not work. The thermostat would not stay set and would revert back to 64 degrees and we woke up freezing every night. The cookware needs to be replaced. At check out we had to wash towels. The previous guest had washed, but all was left in the washer and dryer. We have been to Maggie Valley many times and this was by far the worst cabin we stayed in. We will never come back to this cabin.

We love it. I'd have to work hard to find something to complain about. If i had to pick something, I'd say id like to see the hot tub a little cleaner. There was sediment at the bottom and kind of cloudy. Honestly though, we will continue come back to this house, my whole family loves it.

I was disappointed in the 2nd bedroom. Fortunately I was the only one using it but with the bunk beds it was a bit tight. The dresser was filled with sheets and the closet was not usable. Basically the cabin would accommodate 4 not 6.

To the owners,
The towels had to be washed before use, smelled like they had had been left in the washer wet several days. Also heat for the king room wasn't up to par. You only know these things if we share. On the positive side we loved the cabin, it was perfect.

Very private feel and the home seems well taken care of. Just a quick drive to breweries or the blue ridge parkway. We enjoyed having two sinks in the master bathroom and loved that we could have the hot tub to relax. However, I think someone needed to change the chlorine or something, and we didn’t see instructions for how to do that.

This cabin was clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. We loved the back porch! It was serene and beautiful! We wished we were staying longer and will definitely come back. Only thing I didn’t like was that we had to drop off the garbage to a collection site which was pretty far. Wished it was included in the cleaning fee.

I have been renting cabins in the NC mountains for the past 10 years. I was very pleased with "Serenity in the Hills". The hot tub was a welcome treat after a long day of hiking. The bed was very comfortable and the master bath shower was great! Since I stayed for 5 weeks it was truly my "home away from home"!

We spent a few day there with our grandkids before school started. We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was as described. There is a steep road up to it but it wasn’t a problem. It is right on the side of a mountain and surrounded by beautiful trees. The hot tub was a nice bonus. The cabin is cute and quaint, with a real woodsy feel. The renovated master bath was awesome. The grandkids loved the bunk and big bed in the 2nd bedroom. In the description, the owners said to buy provisions ahead and that’s correct- not many stores nearby. But we were able to get pizza delivered! Be sure to try Joey’s Pancake House for breakfast- 4 minutes away. I had to contact the owners ahead of our stay and they were very kind and accommodating.

It was just a short weekend to get away, but we didn’t want to leave! The views, sounds, and beauty of it all are why we plan to return!

As soon as we entered the cabin, it was perfect! The property was super clean and so uncluttered. We wanted simplicity and this met our expectations. Thanks so much for letting us visit your slice of Heaven!!

Everything was perfect. The road is a little rough getting to the house, but nothing too bad. My Honda accord did just fine. The house was nicely updated and very clean. We especially loved the hot tub!

The building itself was really clean and the architecture is cool. Only complaint is that the spmart thermostat kept resetting to a hotter than comfortable temprature. Other than that, my wife and i really enjoyed our stay and would reccomend to anyone who wants a secluded place.

We had the most amazing time in Maggie Valley. The property was beautiful as well as the scenery. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

We loved the cabin it was perfect but the Roads for a 250 ford truck it was awful, needs some work done on the switch backs. Other than that it was great.

My husband and I had a great stay for my birthday. The cabin was just as described. If I had to list a con, it would be that there were some light switches that didn’t seem connected to anything and we couldn’t get the fan in the main bedroom to work. But overall, or stay was super enjoyable. The hosts were also very compassionate when I had to make a change due to the loss of my pet. The listing is true to form. You need to be prepared to climb the hill in your vehicle. Definitely would stay here again.

The cabin was perfect. Very clean! Hot tub was relaxing after a long day. We enjoyed our stay. We would stay again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The property was very nice- great layout, space, and the furniture/style was up to date but still had a very quaint cabin vibe. We absolutely loved the back patio with hot tub. Highly recommend for a couples retreat where relaxation and scenic views are priority.

The property was exactly what we expected. Beautiful, comfortable layout. Very cozy with modern style. Everything was clean and place had all accommodations needed. Beautiful view of mountains. It was only a few minutes out of Maggie Valley but far enough to feel secluded and relaxed. The only negative was the road leading to the cabin. It is VERY narrow, one-lane gravel road with a very steep, long drop off. It’s literally built on the side of a mountain.

The most adorable cabin with lots of amenities! Great location to town and fairly private deck. The pics don't do it justice. Homey, comfortable with a view. Immaculate!! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Beautiful cabin. Appears to be newly renovated. Great location

We rented this cabin for a quick weekend get a way. This property way beyond amazing and exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub was great after a long day, or to start our day or any time in between. The owners were great at responding to messages. I love that it was pet friendly! Thank you so much for a great stay!

Close to Cataloochee ski area; beautiful view; well-appointed property such as kitchen items and a printer; very comfortable. Great hot tub and deck. Pet friendly was very much appreciated.

Awesome property. Clean and well kept. Will absolutely return.

It was absolutely beautiful and had a great time!

Love staying at this sweet cabin up in the woods! It truly felt like we were in a treehouse. Very clean and stocked with everything we needed for the weekend.

Love the views, the hot tub and having a fireplace. Maggie valley is a quaint little town with plenty to do with in a short drive. This location is almost a hub. Love the stay!!!

We all enjoyed our stay there.

Overall, the property was good and we all enjoyed the stay, but it did have its flaws. The view was good off the back deck (not so sure it would be in spring/summer months) the home was decently easy to get to if you look past the narrow road, and the property was relatively clean.
Here come the flows:
By "Relatively clean" I mean visually it looked clean, however, there were some areas with dust buildup, the fridge door was sticky, and a few stains on the walls. I would argue that we left it cleaner than we arrived.
While the cabin appears to have been somewhat renovated recently, the workmanship in a few areas is questionable. Two different countertops in the kitchen, loose screws in the master bathroom, ceiling fan that shakes in the 2nd bedroom, and no working heat in either of the bedrooms to name a few.
On the last day, as we were packing to leave, what appeared to be the owner of the property or the cleaning person showed up and sat at the end of the driveway waiting for us to leave (Check out is 10am, it was 9:30am). We felt a little rushed to get out even though we had time.
We would love to stay at this property again sometime assuming the things mentioned above get resolved. Thanks!

My husband and i stayed two nights at this amazing location. It was incredibly easy once we arrived at the location to get settled in and comfortable. The house is stunning and really gives that warm mountain experience. Everything was well placed and clean! We were right uphill from ghostown and though im not used to driving on mountain roads, my chevrolet traverse made it without trouble. To the owners: thank you for allowing us to stay at your amazing property. It really is well maintained and it was our pleasure. Until next time!!

I wanted to love this cabin. It's beautiful and located in a gorgeous spot. I also never give bad reviews. I've been thinking about this for days, and I keep getting more upset.
The problem is that it was so dirty. There was dust, cobwebs, and dead bugs EVERYWHERE! They claimed the hot tub is brand new, and that they drain and sanitize it after each guest.
It was cloudy, and had a thick layer of brown scum all around the inside edge. There wasn't even any chlorine in the floater thing they put in it. It was disgusting. There were guests staying there the night before we arrived, so I would assumed that it would be cleaned afterwards. I was too grossed out to even use it. The hot tub was the main reason I rented this cabin, so I'm super frustrated.
The beds had tons of dust and hair underneath them. One of the beds had a pair of dirty underwear under it.
I messaged the owner, but they didn't seem very concerned. They wanted me to send pictures of my concerns. I sent them dozens of pics, and they didn't really have much to say. They finally offered to have the maid come back, but i said no because she already did a crappy job. I had to ask for a refund on the cleaning fee, since I had to do the cleaning. They did refund it, but I'm so disgusted with that place.
I have rented from lots of other people and have never encountered something like this. I'm so upset about it.

Definitely recommend taking a smaller car to whip around the curves to get up the road the house is on. We took a full-size truck and had to back up a few times to make the turns. This wasn’t a problem, just sharing for the next guests. Overall the home was adorable and perfect for our getaway. Only complaint was the cleaning company they use may want to be rethought as they left obvious things uncleaned. Food on the stove, countertops, layer of dust on coffee table, etc. However, this is NOT the owners fault as I’m sure they don’t live in the area. We would stay again due to it being so close to town and the master bedroom being the best part of the home! Not to mention, we saw a mama bear and two cubs shortly after arrival coming down the hill of the neighbors house. That was pretty cool! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The property exceeded all expectation, in fact we would have stayed another week if it had not of been reserved. The cabin is well laid. The views were amazing from the hot tub. The kitchen was well appointed, I did buy 3 ovenproof bowls for soup or chili. I left these for future guest.
As described, the hill is steep and narrow. I used 4wd on first trip up the hill, after that i navigated in 2wd with no problems.
Beautiful property and absolutely would stay again.

The cabin was PERFECT for my husband and I. The patio was definitely our favorite part. The crickets are always softly chirping, and the breeze through the leaves in the trees just makes you want to hush and listen. Staying in the cabin is almost like staying in a tree house. The amenities were lovely--full stove, oven, microwave, toaster, etc. The cabin was immaculate when we arrived and SO cute! Will most certainly stay here agin and recommend to friends.

We had a wonderful visit. It was private, quiet, and exactly as described. We will definitely be back.
