Laboe is a place for sailors, because the Baltic Sea is located directly on the Kiel Bay, one of the busiest waterways in Europe. Every day container ships, ferries, sailors and frigates pass by. In the summer months, you can also see submarines and the proud Crusaders, as they set off on their long journey to the Baltic region or to the Norwegian fjords.
The beach of Laboe is about 2 km long, 50 m wide, white, soft fine-sanded and the riparian zones are extremely flat here. Only after about 30m, the water is deeper than one meter and in some places you can wade almost 100m into the fjord towards the fairway.
On the beach there are several children's playgrounds. Directly in front of the Meerwasserhallenbad not only the non-smoking beach but also an action beach with beach volleyball field, trampoline and electric scooters.

Laboe is worth a visit in every season:
