We planned for a mini vacation around our son’s wedding. The house served as great base for some rest and relaxation around some very busy days. More room than we needed, but it came in handy when we had friends stop by for a meal.

We had the absolute best time!! We came for my bachelorette trip and it was just perfect! We all loved the house, we loved the location of the house, and everything was exactly as we expected. The beach house is so close to the beach! There are great restaurants on the island! I highly recommend staying here!

This is a gem of a property! We spent the week here for a family vacation spring getaway. The location is incredible, walking distance to the beach with a partial ocean view from the back porch. All of the bedrooms are spacious and nice with comfy beds. The host Frannie is so helpful and communicative. Already looking forward to booking for next year!

We had a great visit as a group of 9. Four adults and 5 children. Plenty of linens, great space. Very close to the beach and we enjoyed the beach toys. We appreciate everything!

Great house- I think all of the information about the house needs to be in a physical welcome package at the house. I didnt know that in order to get all info I HAD to download the VRBO app. It would be super convenient and helpful to be able to look at it in a notebook. The trash situation is confusing. In one place it says to put trash outside in the bins and in another it says to put it in the bins in the garage. I left it outside and hope that was ok. The garage is a mess- hard even to walk through it. It would be helpful if you clarified this and swept out the garage. Because we had a lot of cars, I parked on the curb across the street. I got a ticket for having two tires on the road. It would have been super helpful to know that they ticket for this. It's absurd. Thank you! Florence

The home is exactly as pictured. Sitting on the screened-in porch gave us a view of the ocean while enjoying the sound of waves The kitchen was amazingly equpped. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner without needing one item. Our host was great; we couldn't have found a nicer, more responsive person when we had questions. We love Sullivan's Island and this home made our trip perfect.

Our family enjoyed another amazing two weeks at this house! Host is super communicative and proactive. We love coming to SI every summer knowing we have this house to settle into particularly with two small kids. 3min walk to the beach at Station 30 - my favorite part of the SI beach :) Couldn't ask for more her!!

We loved the Sullivan’s Island beach home. It was perfect for four mother/daughter teams! The girls enjoyed staying in the bunk room and each mom had their own room. The kitchen is well-stocked and all the amenities were great! Nice walk to the beach and in to town. It was perfect!

This is the perfect beach house for a big group! All the beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of bathrooms so we didn't have to wait long. Frannie was very responsive to messages and any problems we had, she quickly solved! The kitchen had all the basic tools we needed. The beach is a quick walk away. We loved morning walks on the island. Make sure you remember to make reservations at the local restaurants, or you might have to wait a little. Parking-wise, Frannie said she estimated ~6 cars could fit, but you can make 8 cars fit as well as utilize street parking (not on the street, but off the street obvi) work. Thank you so much for a great getaway!

Our family planned what we thought would be a warm holiday at the beach. Flight delays and weather did not cooperate but our VRBO rental saved our vacation. The location was perfect for fishing, walks on the beach, and great restaurants nearby. The house easily accommodated 4 generations of our family with one bedroom on the first floor for great-grandmother and a kids room with double bunk beds for all the grands upstairs, plenty of room to host meals, play games, work puzzles and watch movies. We even held a corn hole tournament during the week. Wonderful memories for our family. Trips to Charleston are 20 or so minutes away. Frannie was great and very responsive to our requests.

We travelled to Sullivan's Island for Thanksgiving. Eleven total stayed at the house and it was absolutely perfect!!! Back porch is amazing! Very clean, spacious, kitchen had everything we needed. Everyone enjoyed playing ladder ball in the back yard, ping pong in the garage. Short walk to the beach. Frannie, the owner, was very quick to respond to any questions. Just can't say enough good things about Frannie. We would stay again in a skinny minute!

The house was perfect for us, our two adult children and their young families. Room for togetherness and privacy. Lots of time spent on the porches and in the large living room. The kids enjoyed both the front and backyards. It was a short walk to the beach and the weather was perfect. We were down for a family wedding and other family members commented on what a great house it was. (You may be getting some additional bookings from them. ) Our family said it was a “magical vacation” and the house contributed to that. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Our family really enjoyed our Sept 2022 stay. The house was lovely and exactly as listed. The screened porch provided a wonderful environment for morning coffee, late night cocktails and great conversation. Frannie was an excellent host. She was available and very responsive when I reached out to her for a question. I would highly recommend this place. A short walk to the ocean down the street and around the corner.

For this vacation, my wife and I invited our daughter and family (spouse and our two grandchildren, 5 & 2), our son, his fiancé, and his long-time best friend (9 total). The house was a perfect fit for our group, and it is well equipped in the kitchen for various cooking needs. As other reviews have noted, the back, screened-in porch is a great place to hang out and always seems to have a breeze. The walk to the beach is a half block over and one block down, so not far at all. A short drive (or a moderate beach walk) to the restaurants on Sullivans Island (Poe's Tavern), a short drive to other shops and restaurants on the mainland (highly recommend Coastal Crust pizza and Vicious Biscuits), and only about 20 minutes to downtown Charleston. For those planning to rent this house, when we arrived the house had ample toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, laundry detergent, sponges, dish towels, trash bags, and hand soap in each bathroom. Less to pack. Plenty of DVDs and games at the house, if you still have time for those things with everything else available.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Porch Life. Frannie was responsive leading up to and during our stay. The house was clean, we had everything we needed & more, the location was perfect, the ocean view from the porch was bigger than expected, the kitchen was super functional & also larger than the pictures, the shower in the bathroom downstairs was a bonus for our large crew, the yard games were enjoyed by all, the beach gear covered everything you would need, having 2 refrigerators was great for our large family - the list goes on! We highly recommend Frannie’s house for your stay on a beautiful island right outside of Charleston! You won’t be disappointed. Thanks, Frannie, for allowing our family to make memories here!

This house was PERFECT for a friends weekend in Sullivans Island. It was a block from the beach and about 20 min from downtown Charleston. SO much room and the beds were so comfortable. The back porch was such a great place to hang out in the morning while everyone was waking up. The host was so friendly and answered immediately with any questions I had. 10/10 recommend and we can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time with a group of 11 over a long weekend. The house had a great common area for everyone to gather and we loved morning coffee on the screened-in porch, looking at the ocean. The beds were plentiful and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely rent here again!
