Great sized 3/2 home for a family retreat, and if the beach is a priority, then the location is a 10/10.
The property itself is nice, overall. I wouldn’t classify it as “luxury” as advertised, but nice enough. The bathrooms could use some attention (master suite was missing bulb; no outlet for hair dryer/curling irons); the 2nd bath water pressure was low and hot water was hit or miss; the hallway could use a fan of some kind; in desperate need of new appliances - fridge is incredibly loud; and, the garden area has great potential, if it were tended or given any level of attention - the breeze on the back patio is fantastic, but the garden “view” is lacking.
The private back gate to the beach is incredibly convenient, however, the area where you wash your feet needs some pavers/ concrete (so you aren’t washing off sand in sand). Access to a couple beach umbrellas would be welcome (no shade on beach).
Other than that, great location for a beach vacation. Great bar (Rascal’s) within short walking distance to grab some island delicacies and drinks, and a little further down the beach on the other side is access to a bar at Batt’s Rock - nice scenic walk, great views, and cozy restaurant right on the beach. Perfect options if transportation proves a challenge.
No checkout instructions were provided and no follow up from owner. We just cleaned up, locked up, and left key in lock box. Communication could be a bit better.

We were 5 people staying in the unit. The location and having the beach and pool within walking distance made our vacation an enjoyable experience. Mario was at the unit to greet us when we arrived and he was attentive to all our needs. He was a phone call away. The unit was missing a few minor things but that did not seem to bother us. We all agreed that we would stay there again. I even took a look at the bedroom unit just in case my husband and I would take a trip my ourselves. Overall experience was great!! Thanks again to Mario.

This is a spacious and very comfortable property and has a delighful location...to be able to walk through a door onto a deserted sandy beach really has to be done to understand what a pleasure this is...My first trip to Barbados but this was well ahead of the 2nd week spent in the rather touristy South coast. The West offers an array of fantastic beaches...you'll get differing views from any website you visit but Brighton abd Paradise were still rated best from us all and we've spent time on South and West and East...If you want to spend your time sitting at a nar drinking with beer buddies head South. If you want incredible beaches, a rather more natural abd sedate pace this is the place and property for you. Large rooms, a spacious living room and a decent pool allbeit quite small allowed us to enjoy an awesome week. Host Mario was EXCEPTIONAL and very helpful on every level...5 stars to him...Great trip. Thank you. 2 x children aged 11 and 10.

The apparent is perfectly located next to the beautiful and quiet beach. The hosts are very nice. I have had a contact with Rose during a booking process, she was really quick to respond to my questions. Mario was the one who helped with check in and solved any problems or questions I had during our stay. He was really helpful and also gave me all the information I needed about the island, cabs, food, etc...
Of course there are some things in the appartment, that are not perfect. I really do not understand the owners why they do not invest a bit into retrofit and better maintenance of the apparment. For example, in one of the bathrooms the bathtub is rusted, in the other there is a very old curtain on the window. The interior and exterior seating furniture are quite stained, at least here and there these things could be cleaned with a water vacuum cleaner. Also the kitcen lacks some maintenance, the dishwasher is not functioning, the dishes in the cupboards were not very clean, and a few plates and glasses were missing.
But I must say something very good about the hosts. Since I was expecting friends to visit one day, I asked Marao if he could get some wine glasses, since there were only 3 in a cupboard. Mario got new ones the same day and brought them.
So, if you follow the logic, all you have to do is ask for the things you need, everything can work out perfectly.
Despite the lack of cleanliness, I would choose this house again. The location is perfect, a supermarket withi

We stayed in 2 of the 2 bedroom apartments in this property, over the course of 5 weeks. Rose, the owner, did her best to accommodate us, but the island was under a lockdown so her options were limited. The location couldn't be beat. The beach just on the other side of the back gate, and a small pool in pretty grounds. However, there was broken furniture tucked into corners of the yard. The apartments themselves were not kept up too well. Many light bulbs were out, some drawers and cabinets were missing knobs or didn't open or shut properly. Some of the ceiling fans didn't work. The kitchen equipment was limited, which was a pain as we were there for so long. The internet worked very well. The beds were comfortable with plenty of sheets and towels. The yard and pool were serviced regularly. Lots of birds, and the occasional monkey to watch. Overall, I'd recommend the apartments, as long as you don't expect a luxury resort.

Located on the west coast beach which is lovely. This property does not face the beach which disappointed my wife. At the end of the road that the property is on is an electrical company which does not affect the beach but there are heavy trucks passing along the road which makes the property noisy during the day. For the price however, it is ideally located and you can spend hours on the beach which barely has more than 15 people on it at any given point.

Great Stay
Great beach, great property and location.

Very quiet location
This is in a quiet location with a short clean stretch of beach, however there is industry on both ends of the beach. This wasn't a problem to me as I never needed to walk that far to make me feel like I was walking on the beach. It was just a little unsightly, not the rentals problem, just a fact. The house needs some appliance updates, but the owner was very accommodating whenever we brought it to her attention. The pool was well maintained and provided relief from the saltwater swim! There's a very nice supermarket just up the hill from the house, making for easy access to food. If the updates to the appliances was done and the property was cleaner in terms of upkeep I would have given it a 5 star rating. All in all we had a very nice time there.

Fabulous location, lovely home, amazing neighbours!
Thank you Rose for the wonderful stay at yours, on Brighton Beach. Every morning was fabulous, every afternoon was delicious, every evening was spectacular. I would suggest this house to everyone I know. With a few home improvements it will get a 5 star rating. The location is 5+ stars.
Thank you again. Wonderful for families or singles. Peaceful yet full of central to the good action spots to. So close to Tiami and Atlantis Sub tours. Amazing beach bar just a short walk down the beach. Just perfect for us.

Wonderful beach.
The apartment was wonderful, plenty of room. A few minor problems noted but the owner took care of them in record time. Beaches were wonderful, swimming was great, calm waters. Able to take long walks on the beach which was never crowded. We were far away from town and shopping. We plan on staying on Brighton Beach again but will invest in renting a car.

Best Beach in your backyard.
Good accommodations for a family with young kids. Beach is unreal and is ten steps from your bed. I would recommend a beach umbrella of some sort as there is not much shade out there. Kids loved the pool even tho it was shared with others renters it was basically all to ourselves. Location wise its bit out of the way but we managed with no car as the grocery store is up the road 5min walk. We took cabs to Holetown but honestly the restaurants arent that great save your money and go to Oistins for proper meals. We took the bus in to town which you can catch beside the grocery store. The apartment has good internet, tv has plenty of channels as well. The kitchen had all the amenities you would need to cook a meal but a few extra plates would be ideal. Air conditioning was great in 2 rooms, the master not so much. The main area doesn't have AC thus need to use the fans but it wasn't a big deal as the rooms provided the AC. The only complaint was the local rooster that wakes you up early but this is 3rd world problems lol. Great stay overall. !

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!
My family had the best time!
After our year old reservation with another property for our first crop-over festival trip was "mishandled", I thought our vacation would be ruined. I told my Bajan family we would host our family reunion gathering, (after they had hosted us twice since we reconnected in 2015), and now all my time and planning was in jeopardy. I was so stressed out. I searched and searched, comparing all the pros and cons, features, and prices of different properties. I hesitantly settled on this listing with all the bells and whistles I needed but located in an unfamiliar part of Barbados. I was also nervous that there wouldn't be enough space for our gathering but we would make do regardless. Well I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. This place had more than enough room for company, a large kitchen, and the added bonus of a beautiful pool, a feature my "mishandled" reservation did not have (with more than enough towels for us and company!). The beach was lovely with just the right amount of traffic to help make for classic picture perfect, peaceful vacation memories. Also, to my plesant shock, it was right in the middle of all the crop-over action. My Bajan family said they really had fun with the pool (strangely enough they say they get bored with the ocean, go figure). Any issues we had were handled efficiently and expediently by Rose's contact Macara. We are already planning our next visist to "Santorini" and I can't wait to open that gate!

Wonderful location, great spot on the beach.
The apartment is spacious and well laid out.
The interior is a bit dated and needs a lick of paint here and there. Overall a great place to holiday. There were a few bits missing but Rose dealt with our requests quickly and efficiently.
There is a distillery at the end of the road so there are a lot of large lorries up and down during the day. Never spoiled our sleep though.
I can recommend Rascals bar down the beach about 1/4 mile to the south. The Sunday afternoon BBQ for $20 Bajan is well worth it.

A diamond in the rough.
The house is dated and needs a little work but it is in an amazing location. The beach is the best part of staying here, it is clean and not busy at all. You can snorkel right off the beach as there are plenty of small reefs as close as 50 feet off the shore. Rosa is very good at making sure you feel comfortable and making sure that any concerns you have are dealt with in a timely manner. The garden area off the back of the house could use some attention but we didn't use it so it wasn't a big issue. The pool was small but nice and it gets cleaned regularly. Lots of shade just watch out for the mahogany nuts that fall from the trees, they are extremely painful to step on.
If you are planning a trip to Barbados pack some essentials such as coffee, sugar, snacks. Grocery items are very expensive. A bag of Doritos is around $14.00 U.S. We just about fell over when we bought a few things to get us through 2 days. It was $499 Barbados which is $250 American. Buy your alcohol at the duty free store. Up the hill at the grocery store it cost us about $40 us for a bottle of rum. It was only $24 at the duty free.
We did rent a car for 3 days it was nice to tour the island. Parking is hard to find and the streets are very narrow. If you like lobster go to Lobster Alive the food is amazing. They made our birthday celebration special by setting up banners, table decorations and a special dessert.

Wonderful vacation with the family
My husband and I were travelling with our two kids and we all thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Rose and Sharon were very helpful throughout our stay. The beach was beautiful and safe to swim. The apartment was very comfortable with everything we needed. We do recommend getting a car so you can easily explore the island and other beaches.
