Our stay at Julien’s home was perfect in every way. The house is wonderful, the pool and outdoor areas are lovely and peaceful. The short walk to town makes this home a 10/10. Julien is willing to help with any of your needs. We will be back!

It was cold for April, but the house was cozy, warm, clean, comfortable and had everything we need. Even the pool was warm.

We loved this house!! It's nestled into a quite, safe neighborhood with only a 5 minute walk into lovely St. Remy with all of it's shops and cafes. The house opens up with several french doors to a private yard/ garden full of flowering plants, outdoor dining table and a nice sized, heated pool with comfortable loungers. We enjoyed that each room had a king sized, comfortable bed including bedding. We didn't know that the house didn't come with TP or paper towels so make sure to pick those up at the store before arrival. Julien was very responsive to all of my needs and questions. Would love to stay here again!

Julien's place was a perfect to stay in St Remy. Just a few minutes from the city center to restaurants and shopping, groceries and more. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed and the beds were super comfortable. Loved the back yard and look forward to using the beautiful pool on our next stay.

La Maison du Gecko is an idyllic oasis located a short 10-15 minute walk to the center of town and the perfect home base from which to explore all of Provence. We stayed for one glorious month and found the home to be updated, spotless, spacious, impeccably decorated, comfortable, and outfitted with every amenity necessary for both short and long-term stays. The well-maintained, heated salt pool is simply wonderful. Julian is a welcoming, gracious, responsive, and superb host. His thoughtful gestures, such as mailing a forgotten, left behind ring and eyeglasses to the US, showcased a level of hospitality that extended beyond our departure.
Nestled in the Alpilles in the heart of Provence, St. Remy has much to offer with shops, restaurants, art galleries, historic sites, and walking & biking trails. The Wednesday Market is not to be missed. Julian’s home was an ideal choice for us. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house for a special family holiday - the accommodation had everything we needed and was spotless when we arrived . There are so many interesting villages to explore nearby and we very much enjoyed walking easily into Remy for the market and meals out . It was then lovely to come back to the house to relax by the pool and in the evenings to eat under the beautiful arbour .
Julian responded quickly to any queries we had and we would very much recommend staying here .

Lovely stay at this conveniently located and thoughtfully decorated villa. The pool is delightful and there’s a shady table for dining outside.
Julien has selected very comfortable and stylish furniture, and the art is an unexpected bonus!
For our stay, check in and checkout was “hands free” which can actually be more convenient than a rendezvous on a long travel day. Cleaning during our stay was much appreciated and Joana was very helpful. A good find!

Many, many thanks to Julien for our wonderful holiday. We highly recommend this villa. The property was as described & shown in pictures.
Key things we loved:
- the property is stylish but still comfortable, everyone relaxed so easily
- wonderful pool and garden, fully private and not overlooked
- St Remy town massively surpassed our expectations, it is a BEAUTIFUL town, a short walk away (under 10 mins) , small & contained but large enough to have plenty of places to visit and enjoy. Lots of restaurants and cafes, sorting food for the family was easy. Big supermarket a 10-ish minute walk away or a 2 min drive
- easy check in and departure, Julien's instructions were clear & easy
- property was well looked after, with cleaners & pool cleaning during our stay
- modern & well stocked kitchen
The whole family agreed the property was our favourite of all our summer holidays this far, and we plan to return

We had such an incredible stay at this beautiful house in St Remy and Julien is a fantastic host! He couldn’t have been more kind towards us and our kids and family and we can’t wait to return. The house and pool are spectacular and we loved walking to dinner every night in St Remy, it’s a perfect location

My husband and I stayed at this property with our four kids (ages 11 - 18) and our parents. Everyone had a great time and there was plenty of room for all. There is a great outdoor table, and totally functional kitchen, and a great pool. Everyone loved relaxing in the pool after our days of sightseeing. The house is about a 12 minute walk from downtown St. Rémy. If we ever get to take a trip to St. Rémy again as a family, we would love to stay at this house again.

We were delighted with our stay. The house was quiet and comfortable and the beautifully maintained swimming pool was fantastic. The walk to the town center took less than 15 minutes and other sites are easily reached by foot as well. You will need a car to explore Provence and Les Alpilles more widely. We enjoyed our daily outings and made sure to return home in time for a refreshing swim. We would love to return someday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's holiday here. Quiet, private, yet close to town (just right for wandering in to town and not to far for carrying shopping). The house is homely and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and the grounds are well cared for. The pool was a very agreeable temperature; we enjoyed it all!

The Provencal home is very well-located within walking distance of Saint-Remy-de-Provence. Well-appointed kitchen, as well as outdoor cooking areas, which were great. The yard was very nice and the pool well oriented and protected from the wind. Would highly recommend this house to a family or group of friends looking to experience life in Provence.

This gem in Provence was a perfect, comfortable, beautifully appointed home. The location was ideal, and Julien is an exceptional and gracious host. I can’t recommend it strongly enough (except don’t book it so much that we cannot go back!).

Five of had a wonderful week here, using it as a base to explore Provence. Such a lovely home. Charming courtyard and outdoor dining table. The carriage house was the perfect sleeping arrangement for one of our crew's adult son who traveled with us. Janelle was extremely helpful with getting in the house, arranging for a private chef one evening, giving us dinner suggestions, etc. We loved being able to walk into town, and we enjoyed many of St. Remy's fabulous restaurants in the evenings after exploring all day. I hope to come back one day!

La Maison Du Gecko was, indeed, the perfect place to use as a base while exploring St. Remy and Provence. It has spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, a huge living room/dining area and a great laundry room. The entire property was spotless when we arrived. The owner is in the process of remodeling the kitchen, so it will be even better when that is completed.
The covered outdoor dining space is wonderful.
We used it almost every night to enjoy dinner after picking up food at the many St. Remy's "take-out" stores or the nearby grocery store (called Inter Marche). The property is a short walk to the heart of St. Remy and all that this charming city offers.
The owner, Julien, and his right-hand assistant, Janelle, are both extremely helpful and very nice people.
We heartily recommend La Maison Du Gecko. You will not be sorry if you decide to book a stay there.

Wonderful stay
We spent two enjoyable weeks exploring St Remy and the region from this property which was ideally located for the purpose. The home is an easy walk to the center of town and very comfortably accommodated our family and a friend. It is well laid out and well-appointed, although if you are coming from overseas (as we were) be prepared that you may have to purchase some basic supplies - and be aware that the big Intermarché is closed on Sundays. The pool was also a lovely respite on hot afternoons. The landlord is very responsive. Would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend.

Great location and relaxing property
This was a lovely house to spend a week in. Very relaxing and has everything you could need. Being able to walk into town also made for a very easy stay. The swimming pool was fantastic and the kids loved it. Julien also made things easy by meeting us on the first day and being contactable if we needed anything. We had a great time.

Wonderful Home in Beautiful St. Remy de Provence
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Julien and Lucie’s wonderful vacation rental. The house has everything you need to ensure a relaxing vacation...from the spacious and comfortable bedrooms, to the heated in ground pool to the fully equipped kitchen to the fabulous harvest table under the pergola. Everything was just perfect. The house grounds were well manicured and looked after. Poolside there are lots of comfortable lounge chairs to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
There were six of us sharing this space and we never felt crowded or in each other’s way. Maid service twice weekly was a nice treat and Joanna kept everything in tip top shape.
Julien was a very receptive host and attended to our every request....even one to see his Dad who is a doctor! We couldn’t have asked for anything more or have been treated better.
We hope to return to this home away from home in the future.
Thanks Julien and Lucie for an unforgettable vacation!
Sincerely,
Scott & Co.

Great Stay in St. Remy
We really enjoyed this property. Spent a delightful month enjoying the house, heated pool, and the delights of St. Remy. Julien is a very nice person and very prompt with fixing any issues that may arise. Easy walk into town for lunch/dinner/shopping, etc. We hope to return one day.

No Refund
We've stayed 1 1/2 day instead of 7 and the owner decided not to refund us any amount. Garage doors wasn't closing, some doors in the back couldn't be locked, we found some little crawlers in the kitchen, and spots of mold in the master washroom that was taking care when we left. It is too bad, we would have been happy to take a small loss but we took the full loss. It is unfortunate since the property is well located near bakeries and beautiful town.

Lovely property and easy walking to the town
We had a lovely time it was super hot and we all got badly bitten which was a shame as we don’t normally suffer that much. But the property was lovely just a shame we couldn’t use the grass because the insects were so bad

Beautiful villa
Our family of four had the best week at this beautiful villa. Perfect villa, garden, terrace and pool area, and couldn't fault a thing. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and a high standard. The house is in a quiet residential area and a nice 10 minute walk to St Remy. This was our first visit to St Remy, which is a lovely town with lots going on and the market on Wednesday was great. Definitely one of our favourite houses by far! Lucie an Julien were both really welcoming and helpful before and during our stay. Thank you so much!

Perfect House
Everything about this rental was great. Great location, lovely home, great communication, clean house, well organized and equipped home and a very helpful binder of recommendations for the area. The house is perfectly situated so you can easily walk into town and centrally located in Provence for day trips. The pool and yard are very well kept and we thoroughly enjoyed both. Thanks so much!

Thoughtful Owner
All the little touches that one needs when trying to make a family home base for a week have been provided. Julien has put a great deal of thought into his villa offering. The little garden room is a lovely private space to be away from the rest of the guests. All in all the villa is very comfortable and well located in terms of access to Saint Remy.
We could easily stay at La Maison Du Geko for an extended period of time.
Booking and deposit refund were efficiently handled along with access to the property. Thank you Julien for creating this oasis for family travellers!

Charming and well equiped house. Perfect for a group or family holiday
This is a lovely house. Well appointed and full of useful equipment and amenities. You are almost in danger of not leaving which would be a shame because St Remy is a beautiful town. We had a lovely break here. Jenelle greeted us warmly and explained everything. We couldn’t find a jug and within 24 hours one was purchased for our use. Excellent customer service!

Peaceful, beautifully presented villa within walking distance of busy, characterful town
The villa is very pleasantly situated being in a quiet residential area around ten minutes walk from the town centre. It is a spacious bungalow with three bedrooms in the main building and one bedroom with modern ensuite in the garden area. The large master bedroom which opens onto the pool area does not have an ensuite but is next door to the family bathroom and separate toilet which is a little dated. The smaller front bedroom does have an ensuite and the third bedroom opens onto the pool area. There is air conditioning in the master bedroom, garden bedroom and lounge. There are full sized quiet fans in the other bedrooms.
We had a mixture of family and friends stay during our fortnight and they all thought it well furnished and more than fully equipped with a delightful garden and heated pool. It is possible to park three cars in the securely gated driveway.
We were made very welcome by Jenelle who visited twice weekly to clean the villa for two hours. She also gave us lots of ideas for sightseeing, eating and local events. Julien came promptly to mend an appliance that had broken and while he was there organised the television to show the World Cup matches!
We would definitely recommend a holiday here and I am sure that anyone would feel well looked after.

Perfect vacation spot
Our family of seven just spent eleven nights at this property, and everything was perfect.
It is about a ten-minute walk to the charming town. The heated pool was great for kids. The hosts provided bikes, and everything in the house was in working order. One of the bedrooms (with bath) is in a separate little cottage, which would be ideal for in-laws or older teens.
Secure, quiet location. Ideal vacation spot for families.

We couldn't have been happier!
Our family enjoyed a week at this beautiful and comfortable home. We were six people from 4 generations, from my 85 year old mother to my 24 year old granddaughter, and it was perfect for all of us. My son and daughter-in-law were in the master bedroom and my granddaughter in the second bedroom all overlooking the pool and beautiful backyard. My mother was in the third bedroom and had her own private bath. All these rooms have amble closets and storage and very comfortable bedding with quality linens. My husband and I stayed in the studio and loved the privacy and coziness. Outside the french doors is a lovely arbor covered in yellow roses. The grounds are beautifully kept. Julien arranged a local chef for us, Nadege, who prepared a delicious meal for us one night in the house. She was a delight! The laundry room is large and efficient with racks for drying items that couldn't be put in the dryer. The kitchen is well equipped.
It was a very easy walk into town which saved on the hassle of parking. There are many very good restaurants and shops in the charming town of Saint Remy, and it's the perfect location from which to venture. We highly recommend La Maison Du Gecko and hope to be able to return!

Welcoming and warm despite the weather
We had a very enjoyable holiday in St Remy. Unfortunately, the weather was rather cool and rainy but it was so nice to return to such a warm, comfortable and spacious house after a day out. The heated pool was a great bonus. The house is very well placed for a stroll into St Remy or to explore the surrounding towns and villages and Jenelle's help and advice on local restaurants and places of interest was much appreciated. Thank you!

Wonderful
We had a great stay in this beautiful house in Saint-Rémy. Jenelle was really welcoming and nice, and had many great tips for us. Thank you! Julien also provided us with toys for our children, which was great.
The house is very nice, and it has everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation. Good bedding, nice bathrooms and lovely patios. We even got to try the beautiful pool in late March. That was awesome!
The location is good, only a short walk to Saint-Rémy, and a short drive from other villages like Baux, Maussane and Eygalières. We also enjoyed the housekeeping twice a week.
We will certainly return!

Perfect Late Fall Week in Provence!
Our family reunion of 8 people (teenagers through grandparents) had a marvelous stay! The house was spacious and beautifully appointed, the beds and bedding very comfortable, and the kitchen very well equipped. To clarify the HomeAway description: the main house has 3 BR with the equivalent of two full bathrooms, and the studio has an additional BR with full bathroom. We enjoyed the yard and outdoor seating areas even during the late fall. The location is perfect for day trips to the surrounding sites (Pont du Gard, Arles, Avignon, Aix, Nimes, Les Baux, Gordes, etc.), but it is also important to note what a gem St. Remy is. We loved biking and walking around the quaint downtown area, the Roman ruins, and the Van Gogh painting trail. Thank you to Julien for sharing his lovely home and to Janelle for making us feel welcome!
