About this castle / palace rental
Chateau le Cruguil is located very close to Perros-Guirrec and Lannion, near the sea, in full greenery on a 5-hectare park. The property brings together the classical feel of a French garden with the fantasy of a romantic garden.
The oldest part of Cruguil dates back to the 14th century. Extensions were carried out in the 17th and 19th centuries.
The west wing will be reserved for you. It contains a large, independent property with access and private gardens for a trip with family or friends.
With its seven bedrooms, six doubles and one with three beds, it can accommodate fifteen people.
Happily meet up in the large lounge around a wood fire or for a game of pool. On the second floor, the playroom brings together children and adults for board games or table football matches.
The wing where you will be staying was entirely renovated with the idea of combining contemporary comfort with the beauty of old homes.
The ground floor consists of:
- A large lounge with a space to come together comfortably around the fireplace and the pool table
- The large dining table to gather around
- The modern and functional kitchen, with a dining area for the children (table + high chair)
The first storey is comprised of four bedrooms:
- The blue bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm), separate shower room and WC
- The grey bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm), separate shower room and WC
- The empire bedroom with your choice of two single beds (100 x 200 cm), or a double bed (200 x 200 cm)
- The green bedroom with your choice of two single beds (100 x 200 cm), or a double bed (200 x 200 cm)
- One bathroom with bathtub
The second storey is comprised of:
- A large game room with table football and a television
- The beige bedroom with a double bed (108 x 200 cm), and a shower room
- The yellow bedroom with your choice of two single beds (100 x 200 cm), or a double bed (200 x 200 cm), and a separate shower room
- The large bedroom with your choice of three single beds (100 x 200 cm), or a double bed (200 x 200 cm), and a separate bathroom
- WC and laundry room (washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board)
Each chamber has internet access. Equipment for children is at your disposal (one high chair, one baby bouncer, two cribs, and one changing table).
You have the run of an entirely private garden in front of the house, with garden table and chairs to enjoy the beautiful days.
The tennis court is at your disposal.
The 5-hectare park is open for visits from noon on. A marked path avoids your private garden space. You have free access to the park at any time. It is planted with beautiful and old trees. It consists of a French garden with an arbour, and flower beds planted with 2,500 annual flowers and a romantic garden, with a fountain, the wash area, and the pool. The pool is surrounded by a fence for the sake of children's safety.

Astounded at the quality, did not expect a chateau to be so nicely maintained. Very convenient room divisions with ensuite toilets, every room had its own charm! The kitchen is so so so well stocked, a dream for someone who loves to cook. The tennis court was a blast! Wiuld definitely recommend further and go back again.

Aged between 11 and 80 and celebrating two 80th birthdays this year. From outside the accommodation is impressive. We all enjoyed the gardens and the lake. Plenty of room for activities and for relaxation. We were sorry that the sun had gone from the outside table by late afternoon as it was a great place to gather early evening. Indoors we found everything we needed. The bedrooms are large and the beds very
comfortable.
The stairs are quite steep and several of the bathrooms have showers over deep baths. We were prepared for the patchy Wi-Fi but found it inconvenient at times. An additional router would make a big difference.

Great place for family reunion
Great property to rent for a large family group, with very nice rooms and meeting areas, including dining room and living room. The kitchen was practical and with everything we needed to cook big Christmas dinner and lunch.
The owners were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed.
The location is excellent, as your are just minutes away from any shops that you may need, as well as from the coast and many areas to visit.
Overall a great experience and we would consider coming back, maybe in a warmer time of the year.

A recommander !

Fabuleux !

Very tastefull decorated and very impressive positioning close to the Granite Coast beaches and bays.
The owners were helpfull and accomodating.
We made beautifull hikes and endure two atlantic storms huddled around the large fireplace in the cosy living room.

Amazing week in a beautiful Chateau
Our family, consisting of 6 adults and 4 children across three generations had an amazing holiday in Chateau Cruguil. The chateau is beautiful, as are the grounds surrounding the chateau. You get to use one wing of the chateau, over three floors, with a private garden, so there was plenty of space. The are also further grounds to explore. We enjoyed walking round the lake, and exploring the woods. Whilst you're in the country you are only 5 minutes drive from several supermarkets, and not far from the town of Lannion. It is also only a short drive to the pink granite coast, which is beautiful, especially Ploumanac'h. We had a fantastic holiday.

A group of 7 couples we arrived and were blown away by the beauty of Chateau Cruguil & it's lovely gardens. Staying there was a true experience. We chose the chateau for it's convenience to visit the marvellous places on the Pink Granite coast - and indeed it was ideal in that respect - but on some days couples just hung around the chateau & its grounds as they were so impressive.Inside the chateau has true character. Unlike 3 other large manoirs/chateaux Cruguil has really been brought up to date with modern bathrooms & kitchen. The kitchen was a little small for 14 people but we coped OK as it was so well equipped. It had all the utensils necessary & one of the best dishwashers we've ever come across. The bathroom details on the website are not as clear as they could be. So here's a summary of what you'll get - 2 bedrooms have full en-suite facilities; then on the top floor there are 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (without WCs) and they share a single WC on that floor; the remaining 2 bedrooms share a bathroom which includes a WC. All bathrooms either have a stand alone shower or a shower over a bath. One minor problem we encountered was in the Green bedroom. If you have a log fire downstairs on a still day some smoke filters into this bedroom above from the chimney. We broadly solved the problem by stuffing newspaper into any obvious gaps in the bedroom cupboard & the blocked-off fireplace. There is an excellent tennis court outside and a pool table & table football inside. There's a boulangerie only 20 minutes walk away & a large Leclerc supermarket 5 minutes away by car. The nearby coast is excellent for walking.A fantastic "find". Go there and enjoy it!

We are a group of 9 adult cyclists from Cornwall and Stevenage in England who get together almost every year to do some cycling and sight seeing either in Brittany or Normandy. This year we were lucky enough to find Le Chateau du Cruguil, just a couple of miles out of Lannion on the pink granite coast. Everything in the Chateau is top quality, from the massive bedrooms and comfy beds, to the gorgeous bed linen and white fluffy towels. We used all of the 7 bedrooms which all have either bath or bath/shower but beware that the three bedrooms on the top floor share only one separate toilet between them (the shower rooms do not include toilets). Three rooms on the first floor have complete en suites and one room has no bathing facilities. None of this caused our group any problems. Everything was very clean. We were welcomed by Madame Le Verge, the caretaker, who dealt as well as possible with our very poor French. The kitchen and dining room are fairly well equipped, and we were welcomed to our stay with a couple of bottles of bubbly on our arrival. Much fun was had by our group on the pool table in the main lounge. In recognition of the chateaus long history this room is a bit dark and cold because of its stone walls and small windows but we lit the fire in the huge grate a couple of evenings when we were staying in and it was fabulous - loads of logs are provided. We cycled about 30 miles each day on fairly quiet country lanes and in the main with polite and forgiving car drivers. Throughout our weeks stay we were welcomed by friendly, good humoured French people who seemed proud and keen for us to enjoy our stay in their beautiful country. From Perros Guirec and Tregastel on the coast to villages such as Prat, Brittany looked its best in gorgeous sunny weather. June is always a quiet month in France and many restaurants seem to open for lunch and not dinner. Because we were blessed with good weather we had many bbqs at the Chateau but on our last evening out we ate at the fabulous Le Tire-Bouchon (the corkscrew according to my French-English dictionary) in Lannion - absolutely fabulous food and highly recommended by our group.Thank you Marc and Veronique - Chateau du Cruguil is a very special place to stay and we enjoyed our holiday immensely. Would certainly recommend your property.
