About this house rental
The Blue House is located in the heart of Giverny, the village of Claude Monet. This house belonged to him. It is surrounded by 1500 m2 of gardens and is just minutes from museums and restaurants. There are 200 m2 of living that were completely renovated in 2016, is furnished with a mix of modern and antique furniture. This home is perfect for couples, solo travelers, business travelers, families. We are at the heart of Giverny but in the quieter part the very touristy part where Impressionist museums and shops are within walking distance are. It's Ideal. The whole house is accessible, so three double bedrooms (one on the ground floor and two on the 1st floor, each with its own bathroom). but it is possible to rent only the ground floor, for travelers who would need only one room (in which case the rental price will be divided by two). the house has three private parking spaces, which is interesting in a highly visited town in the summer. Many travelers also resident in Giverny to visit Paris or Versailles and shelter less, in fact it takes less than an hour by car or train. We speak French, English and Spanish. A cleaning woman living nearby will work overtime on request.

Myself and my family had a lovely stay at the Blue House. The setting was amazing and the house was beautiful and full of character

The house is (literally) charming; beguiling. The sunlight slips from room to room throughout the day - the beautiful lamps, rugs, furniture, wicket, statues et al. It has its own character, it is loved and lived in, and how nice to share a bit of those enigmatic hints of its owners. No sterile B@B this. As a photographer I feasted on the books. And thank you for the lovely bottle of wine which we struggled to equal. And where was Monet? In morning garden and the afternoon garden, the bamboo and the seeds showering from the tree (lime?). Big thank you to Pascal - loverly welcome and help during the stay. We look forward to coming back.

The Blue House is absolutely stunning! The gardens are beautiful and our children spent all the time playing outside or swinging on the hammock. The kitchen is a wonderful place to be as a family, with a large table to enjoy a good meal and to play card games. There is everything you will ever need in the kitchen including an amazing coffee machine and a lovely welcoming bottle of wine on arrival. We loved our stay here, it was idilic. A beautiful retreat that gave us a much needed rest. We can’t recommend a stay here enough!

The six of us (three couples) had a great time in ‘la maison blue’. We rented so many houses in France in the past 30 years and this house was the most beautiful and complete house we ever had. Thank you so much for letting us stay in it!!

The interior of the house is more beautiful than the photos show. We loved the artistically styled rooms and the beautiful garden; all with a relaxed atmosphere. The house is near the touristic area of Giverney, but in a calm street. It's a lovely walk to the garden of Monet, or to the charming bakery in Rue de Monet. Also near nice walking routes. Town is a bit dull for teens- bring screens :-). Lovely for adults, could not be better. Beautiful!

Great home for family or groups of friends. Very well equipped, nothing that wasn’t supplied as listed. Amazing yards back and front, tranquil setting with plenty of seating and tables in both yards. Beautiful flowers everywhere. Location, location, location could not ask for a better location/ village. Pasquale was very helpful and friendly, helped us with taxi booking and also suggested eating places. The Blue House is amazing. Totally recommend staying here. We booked entire house, four females travelling, felt very safe. Large fully equipped kitchen, large lounge, all bedrooms great size, plenty of bedding. Bathrooms were amazing( great bath).

The house is a wonderful, charming old house that has been beautifully finished and has an amazing character. It's full of eclectic and fitting art and is very warm and inviting. Pascal was very nice and helped us through a few challenges like figuring out how to get from Vernon to Giverny.
The town is beautiful and very walkable from that location. Fresh croissants and baguettes are within reach daily. We would love to return in the future.

Le Maision Bleue, is a beautiful property and perfectly located when visiting Monets Garden. It's a peaceful retreat. My only recommendation would be for the gardens to be made more of, as the gardens were Monets reason for the property, he wanted a garden kitchen,

Pierre went above and beyond to make me welcome. It felt as if I lived in Giverny! Note: if you are traveling by train, have Pierre call you a taxi!

The house is fascinating - filled with an eclectic array of decorations. It is rather "long-in-the-tooth" and could benefit from some loving care. It is clear that once it was a real beauty.
The gardens around this house also need some attention. The location is wonderful - a lovely stroll to Monet's Gardens. Pierre is endlessly helpful and pleasant to work with.
The house is not a true "3 bathroom" house. It has 2 toilets and 2 showers and 1 bathtub.
The best part was knowing the history of the house. Were it cleaner and in better repair, it would be exceptional.

The house was a lovely eclectic mix of furniture and paintings, a big house but great for the 3 of us - we all had our own room and shower/bath either ensuite or nearby. 2 toilets, only 2 small sachets of shower gel and shampoo, no soap in the downstairs loo. A big house to keep clean and some of the bedlinen could probably do with an update in the not too distant future.
We got caught in traffic near Lille and were an hour later than we intended but Pierre was very welcoming and helpful when we did arrive.
We loved the atmosphere in the house and it was a great place to stay because we were visiting Monets Gardens, a 15minute stroll away through the lovely village. Dinner at Ancien Hotel Baudry was lovely sitting outside under trees, thanks for the recommendation!
Overall we had a great two days there, and we cant blame Pierre for the heat! Good windows on all sides helped with a breeze.

The location is fantastic. Moments for the Monet Gardens and restaurants. Every direction you walk, it's beautiful. We had a car, and initially planned to be striking distance from Paris/Versailles, etc, but it turned out that heading west to the coast was much closer than we realized, and absolutely gorgeous-- with the bonus of being able to visit the beaches of Normandy in early June.
The house itself is exactly as advertised. Very spacious, beautiful views and garden. The host let us use his netflix too!

If you want to feel like you stepped into a Beauty and the Beast fairytale, then stay in Giverny. it's a beautiful village full of flowers. Yes village. Not a town. First of all, Pierre is a gracious and generous host who went above and beyond to help me get to and from Giverny. Merci beaucoup! I chose this property thinking it would be a good location without a car. Unfortunately, it was not walking distance to the train station in another town. Fortunately, there is a bus that leaves the Giverny Prairie parking lot for Vernon; the earliest bus is 1010 AM, but the last bus back is 315 PM, so that leaves little time for excursions to other places. I had to taxi back from Vernon. It does take at least 15 minutes to walk to the Giverny bus parking lot, and there is no grocery store in town. If I had a car there would be no issue at all.
Secondly, staying in Monet's former house is special. I was hoping that it would inspire my creativity as well. The house is huge. It's adorned with an eclectic collection of furniture, art, and books and decorations. It's an old house and it smells like it, creaks like it, and feels like it. After 9 days there, I came to love it. It was very quiet and safe, and I slept better there than in my own home. Stay in this historic and unique home to have a memorable experience!

We had a wonderful time at this amazing property. We arrived late at night and were able to follow the very clear instructions to check ourselves in. Communicating with Pierre was very easy and he was very helpful. This house is absolutely beautiful and so cool. We had plenty of space and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We hope to come back.

Spectacular home in a charming, idyllic French town. This home is large with a lot of space to spread out. It is beautifully furnished with interesting and varied pieces and antiques. A lot of beautiful art adorns the walls and even the hallways. Well equipped modern French country-style kitchen with everything you could possibly need, great room, office-reading room filled with books, cds and dvds, 3 large bedrooms with comfortable beds. Beautiful large yard with picnic table where we spent afternoons drinking wine and eating local bread, cheese and pastry. 2 bicycles. For Americans, this residence will fulfill and exceed all the images and dreams you have formed from watching movies about life in the French countryside. Magnificent! The owners are accommodating and responsive. Fabulous hosts ready to provide assistance and advice. Loved every minute of it and would return in a heartbeat. 5 stars
